FFC 34 On Nov. 9 At Fight Dome Las Vegas Has Been Canceled

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Novembre 8, 2018) – Due to reasons involving medical issues, Final Fight Championship has announced that “FFC 34” on November 9th has been officially canceled.

 

 

 

Nick Sadeghi, MD of Athlete Advantage Medical in Las Vegas, Nevada, released the following statement to Final Fight Championship.

 

The Nevada State Athletic Commission requires a series of medical examinations to be completed by a professional fighter in order to determine the medical condition of a fighter, the outcome of those exams determining if the fighter will be cleared to compete or not. Of utmost concern is the fighter’s physical well-being. It was determined by independent physicians conducting the exams for FFC as well as the Nevada State Athletic Commission that several fighters scheduled to compete on the November 9th fight card would not be able to compete due to abnormal MRA findings which identified small aneurysms in the brain. For obvious reasons, these fighters could not be cleared to compete without proper medical workup. This includes consulting with a Neurosurgeon and an Interventional Radiologist. Some fighters may be cleared after this, but some may need a surgical procedure to correct the aneurysm before he or she can continue to fight in the future.

 

 

 

FFC CEO/President, Orsat Zovko, issued his own statement regarding the unfortunate cancelation.

 

 

 

“We are disappointed to make this announcement, but on such short notice it was impossible to move forward because four of our six fights were stopped by the commission and medical personnel, including our Main Event and Co-Event,” said Zovko.

 

 

 

“We must follow the strict rules and guidelines of the Nevada Athletic Commission, and we respect the decisions made by the medical community, because it is in the best interest of the fighters, and to protect their health is the ultimate goal.”

Las Vegas, Nevada, (Novembre 2, 2018) – L'esdeveniment principal de “FFC 33” delivered an upset and a new champion, as Mykta Chub (18-7-0) defeated previously unbeaten champion Andi Vrtacic (10-1-0) per decisió dividida (47-48, 48-47, 48-47) to win the FFC Middleweight Kickboxing Title.

 

 

 

Chub and Vrtacic displayed a great deal of endurance during their five round war. Chub was able to pin Vrtacic into the corners quite often during this fight, frustrating the young Vrtacic and preventing him from using his signature high kicks. Vrtacici landed some nice head kicks and few solid combinations but it wasn’t enough to impress the judges, allowing Chub to steal the win, and the title.

Andre Keys (10-1-0) went the distance with Randy Fuentes (7-7-1) in their Super Welterweight Boxing bout. Keys won by split decision (55-59, 55-59, 58-56) in a fight that featured both fighters standing in the pocket and trading hard shots for the majority of their six round fight.

 

 

 

In a Kickboxing Lightweight matchup, despite breaking his left arm in the fight, Chris McMillan (38-10-0) won a split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) against Teo Mikelic (18-7-0) in a fight that featured some vicious kicks and crisp punches by both fighters.

 

 

 

The night began with Sherrard Blackledge (1-0-0) winning his professional MMA debut by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-27) over Jordan Christensen (0-2-0) in the Welterweight division.

Mykyta Chub fights Andi Vrtacic for the FFC Middleweight Championship at Fight Dome

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, (Octubre 30, 2018) – The main event is set for “FFC 33” and it will involve two explosive kickboxers from overseas. Mykyta Chub (17-7-0) of the Ukraine, batalles Andi Vrtacic (10-0-0) Pula, Croàcia, for the FFC Middleweight Championship on November 2nd, at Fight Dome located at Caesars Entertainment’s Rio Las Vegas.

 

 

 

Both fighters have fought for FFC multiple times. Chub has a (3-1) record during his tenure with Final Fight Championship. Vrtacic, who is the defending middleweight champion, boasts a (4-0) record with FFC.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, (Octubre 22, 2018) – Final Fight Championship welcomed a distinguished guest on Friday night, Octubre. 19º, and she was sitting ringside to support her husband. UFC Flyweight Fighter, Paige Vanzant, was in attendance for “FFC 32 – Graves vs. Seumanutafa” watching her spouse, Austin “AK-47” Vanderford (6-0-0), deliver a blistering knockout to Edmilson Freitas (7-3-0) in the first round of their co-main event bout.

 

 

 

Vanderford won his sixth straight fight and kept his unblemished record in tact, after landing a solid left hand to the temple of Freitas at the 1:38 marca d'una ronda. Dealer, as you can image, was filled with excitement as she watched her hubby win in such convincing and thrilling fashion.

 

 

 

“I loved it, I am proud of him”, said VanZant “I just have so much confidence in him, in this one I wasn’t really nervous at all, he is so prepared and ready for anything.”

 

 

 

Vanderford’s first round knockout of Freitas sent the crowd at Fight Dome Las Vegas into frenzy, and it allowed Vanderford to realize that he is getting one step closer to achieving all of his professional goals.

 

 

 

“I feel that I’m getting closer and closer to making things happen for me”, said Vanderford “I want to thank the FFC and the entire organization for giving me the opportunity and the fight, and I just knew if I connected with one of my power shots he (Freitas) was going to sleep.”

 

 

 

no cal dir, “FFC 32” was both a fun and productive night for the newlywed couple. VanZant and Vanderford tied the knot recently in an oceanfront ceremony on September 29º.

 

 

 

“It was awesome, they (FFC) put on a great show here”, said VanZant “It’s cool that they (FFC) display the fighters this well and hopefully he (Vanderford) can fight here again.”

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, (Octubre. 14, 2018) – The debut of the all-new Fight Dome Las Vegas delivered an explosive night of fireworks at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino on Friday night. “FFC 31 Nit de Campions” was certainly a night to remember.

 

 

 

“The Scorpion Sting” Mladen Brestovac delivered the knockout of the night, with a blistering high left kick to the head of Jhonata Diniz at the two-minute mark of Round 3.

 

 

 

The trademark left head kick of Brestovac sent Diniz crashing to the canvas. Amb la victòria, Brestovac retains the FFC Heavyweight Kickboxing title and improves his record to (55-14-1.). Diniz, who was the aggressor for most of the fight and showcased his exciting come-forward style, cau (16-6-0.)

Shkodran “The Albanian Warrior” Veseli (83-18-1) won the FFC Welterweight Kickboxing Title with a 4th Round KO stoppage vs. Francois “Bang Bang” Ambang (18-8-1). A series of solid punches from Veseli rocked Ambang and sent him to a kneeling position at the 1:23 mark of the Round number four.

 

 

 

In the boxing portion of the evening, Shawn Miller, of Troy, Nova York (19-4-1) won a unanimous decision victory in his ten round title fight with Dennis “Mongoose” Morris (14-3-1). Miller won by the scores of 100-90, 97-93, 97-93, earning him the WBU Cruiserweight Championship.

 

 

 

In the FFC MMA Welterweight Championship, Ben Egli lived up to his reputation as an expert submission artist by choking out Roberto Neves at the 3:21 marca de la primera ronda. Egli won the fight by rear naked choke, something he has done a total of five times in his pro MMA career. The championship victory brings Egli’s record to (11-2-0) while Neves falls to (10-3-0).

Clay Collard battles Dave Courchaine for the FFC MMA Lightweight Championship on Oct. 12

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, (Octubre. 1, 2018) – The main event is set for “FFC 31 Night of Champions” and it will consist of two rising stars in Mixed Martial Arts as Clay “Cassius” Collard (16-7-1) of Price, OUT, batalles Dave “Insane” Courchaine (20-7-0) of Cheney, Washington, for the FFC MMA Lightweight Championship at the all-new Fight Dome Las Vegas at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

 

 

 

After suffering two straight losses under the UFC banner in 2015, Collard returned to MMA in 2018 and responded with two straight victories, a TKO win over Troy Dennison, and a submission win (by triangle choke) against Carson Gregory.

The WBU cruiserweight title will be up for grabs in boxing as Dennis Morris (14-2-1) de Milwaukee, WI, goes up against Shawn Miller (18-4-1) of Troy, Nova York.

Final Fight Championship Makes History, With Multi-Year Combat Sports Agreement Involving, Rio Las Vegas and CBS Sports Network

CBS Sports Network and Final Fight Championship (FFC) announced today a multi-year partnership to make CBS Sports Network the exclusive television home of FFC. The first FFC event premieres live on CBS Sports Network from The Fight Dome at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Friday, Set. 28 (10:00Primer ministre, EST).

 

 

CBS Sports Network will air eight FFC events on Friday’s throughout the remainder of 2018. A champion will be crowned after each event with a belt as part of the national telecast.
