Michael Dutchover (12-0, 9 Kos) Stops Ruben Tamayo in the Third Round on Friday Night

FILADELFIA, PENN. / ORANGE, Calif. (November. 18, 2018) – Junior lättvikts Michael Dutchover (12-0, 9 Kos) closed out Thompson Boxing’s season finale in emphatic fashion by knocking out the well-tested veteran Ruben Tamayo (27-12-4, 18 Kos) in the third round Friday night from the Doubletree Hotel i Ontario, Calif.

 

 

 

Dutchover, who had turned 21 the day prior, celebrated his birthday weekend with his fifth win of the year and fourth straight knockout victory.

 

 

 

The West Texas-based Dutchover used his patience in the first round to learn the appropriate angles against Tamayo, who had previously been in the ring against first class talent such as Jhonatan Romero, Oscar Valdez, Joseph Diaz and Jesus Cuellar.

 

 

 

In the third, Dutchover unlocked his power with a left hook to the body that stunned and forced Tamayo to take a knee. After Tamayo beat the count, Dutchover attacked and landed a right onto the midsection, which dropped Tamayo once again.

 

 

 

Referee Lou Moret immediately waived off the fight at the 2:15 märke.

 

 

 

“I feel like I’m growing into a better fighter with each and every fight,” sa Dutchover, who is promoted by industry veterans Banner Kampanjer och Thompson Boxning. “I took my time in the first round, but then my corner advised me to start letting my hands go and I got the knockout win. I’m looking forward to another great year in 2019.”

Michael Dutchover Looks to Close out 2018 With Another Win

FILADELFIA, PENN. / ORANGE, Calif. (Oktober. 29, 2018) – The fast-rising Michael Dutchover (11-0, 8 Kos), with four solid wins on the year, aims to close out 2018 with another victory on Fredag, November. 16, från Doubletree Hotel i Ontario, Calif.

 

 

 

Dutchover, som kommer att vända 21 the day before the event, will fight veteran and former world title challenger Daulis Prescott (31-9, 24 Kos) in the 8-round main event of Thompson Boxing’s “Locked n’ Loaded” säsongs final.

 

 

 

Dutchover, a junior lightweight fighting out of Midland, Tex., has had a breakout year of sorts with his recent display of power punching. His last three wins have come by way of knockout, including a sensational second round, one-punch destruction of Sergio Martinez in July.

 

 

 

Dessförinnan, the West Texas warrior, som tränar i Los Angeles, removed Mike Fowler in three rounds. Two months ago in September, Dutchover stopped Bergman Aguilar in the fifth.

Dutchover’s confidence is a direct result of the high-level sparring he receives on a routine basis from the many top-notch gyms in the Los Angeles area.

 

 

 

“I’ve been in with some of the top names in the sport and they all teach me something different,” Sa Dutchover. “Danny Roman, Oscar Valdez and Jessie Magdaleno are a few that come to mind. They are incredible boxers and good people too. I’m fortunate to have met them this early in my career.”

Michael Dutchover dominerar i debut i Main Event

FILADELFIA, PENN./ORANGE, Calif. (Mars 19, 2018)–Junior lättvikts Michael Dutchover (8-0, 5 Kos) levererade en imponerande föreställning i sin huvudsakliga debut Lördag natt från Doubletree Hotel i Orange, Calif.

Dutchover, 20, grundligt ut boxade och outmanövrerade solida utsikter Ricardo Lopez(7-2-2, 6 Kos) till låten av en sida, enhälligt beslut vinner (poäng: 59-55 runt).
“Jag kände att jag kontrollerade hela kampen från början till slut,” påpekade Dutchover, som co-marknadsförs av Banner Promotions och Thompson Boxing. “Han försökte komma in sent i striden, men det var för sent för honom. Jag hade redan räknat ut honom.”
Faktiskt, Dutchover satte sin prägel på kampen från början. De första tre omgångarna bestod av Texas-inhemska skjutskott från olika vinklar. Elite Prospect Ruben Villa Battles Veteran Ernesto Guerrero Friday Night in Ontario, SÅSOM

ORANGE, Calif. (Sju. 20, 2017) – Ruben Villa (7-0, 4 Kos), one of the featherweight division’s brightest young talents, takes the next step in his development by clashing with veteran Ernesto Guerrero (26-19, 18 Kos) in one of two highly anticipated match-ups På fredagens “Nytt blod” undercard.

The 6-round bout takes place at the Doubletree Hotel i Ontario, Calif.

Villa, en sydpote som kämpar ut från Salinas, Calif., turned professional last July and already has produced seven one-sided wins. His opponent for Friday, Mexico’s Guerrero, is no push over. Guerrero has won his last five fights, four of which ended in knockout fashion.

“Guerrero’s a veteran so we’ve been extra serious in this camp,” sa Villa. “My team believes that I can take him out. My team wouldn’t set me up against an opponent that I wouldn’t be able to handle so I feel ready for this challenge.”

Villa, 20, loaded up on top-level sparring to help bridge the experience gap between him and Guerrero. He spent three weeks in Indio, Calif. sparring against elite competition such as unbeaten, world title contender Joseph Diaz.

“The way Diaz puts his punches together was really impressive,” sa Villa, som marknadsförs av Banner Promotions och Thompson Boxing. “Det var en stor lärande upplevelse för mig. It’s not every day you get to spar with someone with that high of a skill level.”

In addition to the knowledge learned from the Diaz sessions, Villa is attempting to sharpen his mental focus for his fight against Guerrero.

“I need to be more intelligent in the ring,” Villa said. “I’ve been a little reckless listening to the crowd and taking unnecessary risks. We sparred against bigger guys during this training camp to help me stay disciplined.”

Även på “Nytt blod” undercard, advanced junior lightweight prospect Michael Dutchover (5-0, 4 Kos), who is a close friend and occasional sparring partner to Villa, slagsmål Carlos Flores (4-5-1, 3 Kos) in bout set for 6-rounds.

Like Villa, Dutchover comes from an outstanding amateur career and also shares the same promotional outfits in Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing.
