In Riojas, he is facing a battle-tested veteran who has taken on seven undefeated opponents as well as 2 wereldtitel uitdagers.

 

 

 

“I know he has fought Brandon Robinson. Robinson is a close friend to me, and what I saw in that fight is that Robinson hit him with some good shots, and I don’t know how he withstood them. Riojas came in after another opponent fell out for me. The funny thing is that he thinks that he can beat me, but on June 1st, he will know that he does not belong in the same ring as me.”

 

 

 

Webster has been looking for a signature fight in the suddenly hot 168-pound division, and after this fight on Friday, Webster will be looking to make his mark.

 

 

 

“I am ranked number-5 in the USBA, so maybe someone for that belt or the NABF. I have to fight for the bigger regional titles as a pathway to the world championship. I have been asking for Groves after he gets done with the WBSS Tournament or WBA champion Tyrin Zeuge. I would also like to take on WBO champion Gilberto Ramirez.”

 

 

 

This is a special weekend for Atlantic City Boxing as the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of fame will have it’s 2nd induction weekend, and may of the legends of the sport will be in attendance to watch Webster fight.

This last year has been rough, as I have been going through a bad situation in my personal life, but I have to thank Mis Downing, Roy Jones Jr., Ray McCline and my trainer Denny Brown to have helped me get through this. Vorig jaar, I had to choose my relationship, and then I lost it, but it opened up a door to get with Mis Downing Promotions and Ray McCline. It has helped me become 3-times the person. It has helped me in my acting career and my boxing career. Now is the time to show the world who Derrick Webster really is.”

Atlantic City, N.J. – April 26, 2018 – As part of the 2nd annual induction weekend, the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame presents the “ACBHOF Fight Fan Experience” which will take place on Saturday, June 2nd at The Claridge Hotel.

 

 

 

“The Fight Fan Experience” is a bonus for boxing fans to an already action-packed weekend that will include a Meet-And-Greet, two professional fight cards, and induction ceremonies.

 

 

 

“The Fight Fan Experience” includes the opportunity to rub shoulders and meet some of the legends of boxing, as well as view the Jack Johnson Exhibit, “Smokin” Joe Frazier Legacy Exist Exhibit, the great sculptures of James O’Neal and Philly Boxing History Exhibit. Sheppard is a 21 year-professional who has fought a whose-who of fighters that include former world champions Ruslan Chagaev, Antonio Tarver and James Toney: as well as world title challenger Gerald Washington.

Sheppard is coming off a loss to undefeated Simon Kean on December 16, 2017 in Laval, Quebec, Canada.

Seeing action in the eight-round co-feature will be welterweight Anthony “Sap” Young of Atlantic City, NJ taking on Fidel Monterrosa Munoz.

De 29 year-old Atlantic City native and seven year veteran will be making his 11th start on the boardwalk.

Young has won seven fights in a row, which includes his last outing, when he took a six-round unanimous decision over Carlos Winston Velasquez on August 19, 2017 at The Claridge. This will be Young’s fifth fight at The Claridge and fourth in a row.

Atlantic City, NJ (Maart 7, 2017)–Super middengewicht Gabriel Pham will look for his 2nd consecutive impressive performance when he takes on Chauncey Fields in the co-feature bout of a 9 bout-kaart deze zaterdag nacht in het Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.
The Show is promoted by Rising Promotions.
Pham of Pleasantville, New Jersey heeft een record van 7-1 met 3 knock-outs, and is coming off an explosive 2nd round stoppage over Jose Valderrama on January 28th at The Claridge.
“Alles is geweldig geweest,”said Pham.”I am getting sharp, and working on my quickness and reflexes. “I have been training the whole time. I went right back in the gym on the Maandag after my last fight.”
Fields is a late-replacement, so that took some last minute studying for Pham.
“Ik weet dat hij is 4-1, so he knows how to win, but I am ready to fight anyone. After the loss that I suffered, I can’t be picky on who I am fighting.”
After dropping a unanimous decision to Christopher Brooker on July 9, 2016, Pham has been working very hard to continue on the winning track.
“I have been doing a lot more roadwork and sparring. Sinds 2010, I have had only 4 gevechten, so the sparring has been helping getting the rust off. Things are coming along and I am on my way.”
“This fight should not be the toughest fight, but am expecting it to be. I am just looking to sticking to the gameplan, which is hit and not be hit, and everything should be good op zaterdag. I just want to thank my manager Rich Masini, Rising Promotions and The Claridge.”

Atlantic City, NJ (Januari 11, 2017) – Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna will battle veteran Eduardo Flores eight-round junior middleweight bout on zaterdag avond, January 28th bij de Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.

Mayfield of Perth Amboy, New Jersey will making his first appearance in just for 8-years.
Mayfield won the IBF Cruiserweight championship when he won a 12-round unanimous decision over Uriah Grant on November 8, 1997. He made one defense and was stopped by Arthur Williams on October 30, 1998.
Mayfield won the USBA Cruiserweight title with 10th round stoppage over Gary Wilcox on June 30, 2001.
Mayfield has also fought world champions Juan Carlos Gomez, Krzystof Wlodarczyk and Alexander Povetkin.
