PRELIMINARY CARD CONTINUES TO TAKE SHAPE

SANTA MONICA, CALIF (Augusti 2, 2016) – A flyweight matchup pitting Lena Ovchynnikova (11-4) mot Jaimelene Nievera (4-1) has been added to the main card of "Bellator 160: Henderson vs. Pitbull” på Augusti 26 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.

 

The fight joins a main card that includes a lightweight main event between fellow superstars Benson Henderson (23-6) och Patricio “Pitbull”(25-3). Dessutom, obesegrad knockout konstnär A.J. Fresh off an emphatic knockout win over Stephanie Frausto at "Bellator 154: Davis vs. Kung Mo," the Union City, Calif., native is eager to once again step back into the cage and represent Bellator MMA. Nicknamed “Queenie,” the 31-year-old Dragon House MMA product has her eyes set on building off of her current three-fight winning streak when she takes center stage in Anaheim on Augusti 26.

FRESNO, Calif. (Juni 17, 2016) — It was a rematch over three years in the making, it was a fight that was scheduled, cancelled and re-scheduled, ochpå fredag vid “Bellator 156” inside Save Mart Center, Marcos Galvao (17-7-1) kontra Eduardo Dantas (18-4) was also a barnburner of a main event with the Bellator MMA Bantamweight Championship on the line.

Galvao, 33, walked into the arena with the belt in tow, riding high on his memorable victory at the expense of Joe Warren i 2015. But over the course of 25 minuter, Dantas put a halt to any momentum “Loro” had, peppering his former training partner’s left-eye with punches, until it swelled shut. Galvao tried valiantly to slow the pace of “Dudu” through grappling, but the 27-year-old did enough to earn the nod from the California State Athletic Commission judges and take back the belt that he claimed was his all along.

With the defeat, Galvao’s four-fight winning streak was snapped, while Dantas has now pieced together two consecutive victories. The Nova Uniao product will now set his sights on the winner of Darrion Caldwell mot Joe Taimanglo vid “Bellator 159,” a bout that will determine the new No. 1 contender for Dantas’ freshly won title.

Chidi Njokuani ‘Bang Bangs’ His Way to Knockout Victory

Parlo will return to the Bellator fray for the first time in nearly two years, riding a two-fight winning streak and a stretch of four victories in his last five bouts. After beginning his career undefeated, the Danish middleweight posted a 4-2 record for the Viacom-owned promotion, which was highlighted by a ferocious knockout win in his promotional debut at “Bellator 78.” With fights against competitors the likes of Brennan Ward already under his belt, Honeycutt will continue the trend of Parlo facing stiff competition.

A native of New York, Reiter began his career on a spectacular hot streak, recording 16 wins in his first 17 professionella slagsmål. The 28-year-old middleweight made 15 appearances under the direction of regional promotions before signing with Bellator MMA in 2014, where he has since strung together a 2-1 record with impressive victories over Benji Radach and Shamir Garcia. A six fight veteran of the Scott Coker-led promotion, “The Mercenary” has posted a 4-2 record under the promotion’s umbrella, including two first round knockouts and one highlight reel soccer kick knockout over Charlie Rader at “Bellator 70.” The 28-year-old Calif. native now returns following a stint in Japan with hopes of creating havoc at 185-pounds when he challenges Reiter at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif.

ANDREY KORESHKOV RETAINS WELTERWEIGHT CROWN IN EMPHATIC FASHION, DEFEATING BENSON HENDERSON BY UNANIMOUS DECISION

Uncasville, CONN. (April 22, 2016) — While many will be surprised by the news that Andrey Koreshkov (19-1) besegrade Benson Henderson (23-6) i den viktigaste händelsen i “Bellator 153: Koreshkov vs. Henderson,” the Russian champion made it clear following the bout that he intended to win each and every round inside the cage at the Mohegan Sun Arena på fredag natt, and according to the judges scoring the bout at cage side, he did exactly that (50-45, 50-45, 50-45).

“Spartansk” makes his first successful defense of the title he took from Douglas Lima in this very arena last year, and has his sights set on fighting one of the main contenders that the Scott Coker-led currently promotion has on its welterweight roster. In addition to the victory, Koreshkov also takes home the newly designed Bellator championship belt.

Patricio “Pitbull” Freire’s Showcases Nasty Guillotine in Co-Main Event

Patricio "Pitbull" Freire (25-3) went all-in with a beautiful guillotine choke 4:09 into the second round of his co-main event fight, forcing Henry Corrales (12-3) att peka ut. Since making his Bellator MMA debut back in April of 2010, “Pitbull” has now collected 13 victories with the promotion, including wins in eight of his last nine bouts. “Cyborg” Santos Spoils Ward’s Hometown Reunion With First Round Win

In his Bellator MMA debut, Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos (21-16) defeated New London’s own Brennan Ward (13-4) with an ankle lock submission just 30 seconds into the opening round. The victory is Santos’ fourth career win in 30 seconds or less and 16th first round finish. The former Strikeforce competitor has now strung together back-to-back wins and has left an impressive first impression for Bellator fans, aside from the ones in attendance at Mohegan Sun Arena. For Ward, the loss puts an end to a promising streak of four consecutive wins, all of which came in his dominant 2015 kampanj.

The Portland, Oregon native connected on several heavy blows and two pivotal takedowns leading him to his seventh career win. The three-round thriller was just Primus’ second fight that went past the first round and was left to the judges’ discretion.

Uncasville, Conn. (April 21, 2016) – Following weigh-ins for "Bellator 153: Koreshkov vs. Henderson " competitors på torsdag, all fights are set to take place inside the cage at the Mohegan Sun Arena i morgon på Spike.

Headlined by a welterweight world title bout between Andrey "Spartan" Koreshkov (18-1) och Benson “Smooth” Henderson (23-5), the main card is primed to entertain. The card is loaded with young talent, including 28-year-old welterweight star Michael "Venom" Sida (9-0), who will put his unblemished record on the line against Jeremie Holloway (7-1).

TORINO, ITALIEN. (April 15, 2016) – En elektrisk, fullsatt hus fanns till hands på lördagskvällen för att vittna om Bellator MMA:s första internationella evenemang, "Bellator 152: Pitbull vs. Souza," på Italiens största inomhusarena, Pala Alpitour. Lokalen, som inrymde flera evenemang under 2006 Olympiska vinterspelen, gav en otrolig atmosfär för det historiska kortet.

I huvud händelse av kvällen, Patricky "Pitbull" Freire (16-7) välkomnade Kevin Souza (15-5) till Bellator MMA med enhälligt beslutsförlust (30-27, 30-27, 30-27). Matchupen mellan de två brasilianerna var väl omtvistad, som Souza tog kampen med kort varsel efter att ha ersatt Derek Fieldspå grund av skada bara en vecka sedan. EN STJÄRNA ÄR FÖDD I ANASTASIA YANKOVA

Anastasia Yankova (3-0) kämpade sig snabbt in i en full mount mot Angela Pink (0-1) och applicerade en snygg armbar-underkastelse för att ge Pink en förlust i sin professionella debut kl 1:35 av öppningsrundan.
