Three-time world champion Cristian “Diamente” Mijares (55-8-2, 26 KOs) and former super flyweight titlist TomasGusanoRojas (48-14-1, 32 KOs) squared off in the 10-round main event in a showdown between a pair of veteran Mexican featherweights.
Mijares vs. Rojas was a rematch of their March 12, 2004 fight in Mexico, in which Mijares won a 12-round unanimous decision for the Mexico super flyweight championship. They had a combined pro record of 103-22-3 (58 KOs), along with four world titles in two divisions, upon entering the ring last Saturday evening.
The reigning World Boxing Council (CMB) featherweight champion, Mijares is rated No. 4 and positioned for another world title shot with a victory over Rojas. Mijares is a three-time world super flyweight champion who is 11-5 en baralles de títol mundial.

The main event and co-feature showcased a pair of world-class Mexican fighters, former minimumweight world champion Francisco “Chihuas” Rodríguez and No.1 world rated lightweight Dante “Boig” Jardon, in critical matches that had immediate world title fight implications.
The main event was a scheduled 10-round flyweight bout between Rodriguez (20-4-1, 13 KOs) i Hajime Nagai (14-7-2, 4 KOs), del Japó.
