Mashantucket, Connecticut (Juliol 21, 2016) – Unbeaten rising middleweight Sergi “El Tècnic” Derevyanchenko (9-0, 7 KOs) enderrocat Sóc “Rei” Soliman(44-14, 18 KOs) three times before stopping the former world champion in the second round of the main event of Lliga de Campions de Boxa a ESPN and ESPN Deportes Thursday night from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
La 2008 Ucraïnès olímpic, Derevyanchenko was in control from the start, standing his ground and delivering smart shots as Soliman attempted to flummox him with movement and awkward angles.
Soliman got caught with a missile right hand from Derevyanchenko that landed right on the chin and sent the off-balance Australian to the canvas. Soliman didn’t appear hurt however, as he continued to come forward to try to disrupt and frustrate the undefeated fighter.
Derevyanchenko continued to land effective shots and caught Soliman off-balance again in round two, this time with a left hook that put Soliman on the ground. Soliman again got to his feet but Derevyanchenko quickly stunned Soliman and put him into survival mode.
Soliman tried to tie up and avoid Derevyanchenko, but eventually the undefeated fighter training, who trains in Brooklyn, landed several right hands before a sweeping left hook sent Soliman to the ground hard and for the final time of the night. Referee Johnny Callas waved the fight off at 2:41 de la segona ronda.
The opening bout of the evening saw hard-hitting Ievgen Khytrov (13-0, 11 KOs) lay a non-stop attack on Pablo Méndez (19-3-2, 9 KOs) before eventually earning a stoppage in the ninth-round of their middleweight matchup.
Khytrov and Mendez went toe-to-toe from the first-round, exchanging flurries and showing a willingness to stand in front of their opponent. It was Khytrov who showed the more varied attack while getting out to a fast start and landing 50 percent of his power punches over the first three rounds.
Mendez stood tough and continued throwing punches, but was unable to land anything that bothered Khytrov. The Ukranian-born fighter who trains in Brooklyn attacked the body early while dazing Mendez with uppercuts and power hooks. Rounds seven and eight saw Khytrov increase his attack as he seemingly landed power punches at will.
The fight continued in that one-sided manner throughout the opening minute of round nine. Sensing an opportunity, Khytrov cornered Mendez and hit him with a series of unanswered hooks that forced referee Joe Lupino to stop the fight, at the recommendation of the ringside physician, 1:20 a la ronda. Khytrov ended the fight with a 482-125 advantage in punches landed while landing 50 per cent dels seus cops totals.

“I’m doing well. I didn’t get to warm up, just a couple of minutes, but that’s no excuse. He did his job. That’s never happened before to me.

“After every fight, fighters have to decide what to do next. I have a lot outside of boxing that makes me happy, and it takes the sting out of tonight.”

“I love to fight and battle and go toe-to-toe. I executed the game plan. My defense was much better and I’ve worked hard on my defense. This was my best fight because that guy stood and fought, he didn’t run.
“I wasn’t surprised that Mendez took so many punches because I didn’t throw every punch hard, I mixed it up, but did throw some hard punches.
“I want a couple more fights then I want to fight for the world title. That’s what I’ve worked so hard to do. I’m not going to dodge anybody. I want to fight Gennady Golovkin and take his belts.”

The 27-year-old southpaw has stopped his last five opponents inside of the distance. He takes on the 22-year-old Mexican Ortiz, who made his U.S. debut in September 2015.

CABAZON, Califòrnia. (Jan. 9, 2015) - Perspectiva invicta Ivan Redkach (18-0, 14 KOs) va ser impressionant en una victòria per nocaut a la sisena ronda Yakubu Amidu (19-6-2, 17 KOs), que no va poder baixar del seu tamboret després de la sisena ronda Divendres de esdeveniment principal de ShoBox: La Nova Generació des Casino Morongo, Recurs & Spa en Cabazon, Califòrnia.

 

Treballant per primera vegada amb un nou entrenador Robert García, REDK, de Los Angeles per Ucraïna, va començar lentament quan va trobar el seu rang, amb el durador Amidu manejant el seu poder a les rondes inicials. Amida, de Los Angeles a través de Ghana, va començar lent però va agafar el ritme a la quarta i després l'àrbitre Ray Corona li va atorgar un punt per cops baixos repetits a la cinquena..

 

Amida, que mai havia estat assolit 26 baralles professionals, va patir dues caigudes a la sisena, amb el primer que arriba després d'un ràpid dret seguit d'una esquerra forta i el segon després d'un atac de cops de força.. Amidu amb prou feines va superar el recompte les dues vegades, però simplement no podia manejar el poder de Redkach, que va aterrar 45 per cent dels seus cops de poder.

 

"Estava preparant-me per noquejar-lo,"Va dir Redkach. "Anava a acabar-lo abans que el seu racó aturés la lluita. L'hauria acabat a la següent ronda.

 

"Feia sis mesos que no estava al ring, així que vaig haver de sentir-lo fora al principi abans d'atacar,", va dir Redkach. “Aquest era el pla de joc amb Robert Garcia. Estava en perfecte estat físic. Seré campió del món molt aviat. Aquest és el meu somni".

 

Amidu es va queixar que una lesió a la cama va ser la raó per la qual va deixar el seu tamboret.

 

"Em vaig fer mal al genoll a l'última ronda quan hi vaig caure,", va dir Amidu. "Estava bé després de la caiguda, però quan em vaig aixecar vaig sentir alguna cosa al genoll. No vaig deixar de lluitar pels cops de puny; Em vaig aturar perquè em vaig fer mal al genoll".

En la baralla co-estel·lar, prospecte de pes mitjà júnior invicte Alantez "SlyAza" Fox, de Forestville, Maryland, va mantenir intacte el seu rècord d'invicte amb una victòria per decisió majoritària a vuit rondes sobre invicte anteriorment Patrick Dia, anotat 76-76, 78-74, 80-72.

 

Guineu (14-0-1, 4 KOs), que fa 6 peus-5, va poder mantenir a Day a distància amb el seu jab molt efectiu, la mitjana 54 cops una ronda amb un total de 436 cops llançats en només vuit rondes. Dia (9-1, 5 KOs), que va passar sis rondes per primera vegada en la seva carrera, no va poder avançar i va semblar frustrat en rondes posteriors quan va entrar a un territori inexplorat.

 

"Vaig aconseguir el meu jab,", va dir la Fox, de 22 anys. "Vaig seguir movent-me i vaig poder mantenir-me fora de les cordes. El vaig mantenir a l'exterior amb els meus cops i moviment. Sens dubte, aquest va ser l'avantatge que vaig tenir sobre ell en la lluita. No només funcionava la meva alçada; era el meu moviment i abast.

 

"Estava ansiós abans de la baralla, però un cop al ring em vaig acomodar,", va dir Fox, que estava fent el seu debut a SHOWTIME. "Estic molt agraït per l'oportunitat i estic molt emocionat per les grans coses que vindran".

 

Day semblava frustrat amb la decisió que deia, "Crec que vaig fer prou per guanyar. Crec que he aterrat millor, més difícil, netejador, cops de puny més efectius. Vaig pensar que així es puntua la boxa professional, però suposo que no aquesta nit. La seva alçada no va ser un gran problema perquè encara crec que vaig guanyar, però definitivament va ser un obstacle".

 

Al ShoBox: La Nova Generació combat d'obertura, 2012 Olímpic Ievgen "lleó d'Ucraïna" Khytrov (8-0, 8 KOs) es va mantenir invicte amb una victòria dominant per nocaut tècnic a la tercera ronda sobre el superat Maurice "El natural" Louishomme (8-1-1, 4 KOs).

 

Khytrov, de Brooklyn, N.Y., a través d'Ucraïna, va controlar la lluita des del primer moment, il·luminant Louishomme, de Colorado Springs, Colo., amb mans dretes agressives i uppercuts al cos que va fer que Louishomme es trontollés en diverses ocasions en una baralla totalment unilateral..

 

Khytrov va ser molt precís, aterratge 53 per cent dels seus cops de poder, 51 per cent dels seus jabs i 52 per cent del seu total de ponches. L'àrbitre Ray Corona va aturar la lluita justament 24 segons a la tercera ronda després que un fort dret de Khytrov va fer volar el boca de Louishomme per tercera vegada i va concedir a Khytrov el nocaut tècnic..

 

"Només estava concentrant-me i intentant treballar,va dir Khytrov. "No estava allà només buscant el nocaut. Buscava oportunitats, però no ho anava a forçar. El pla era aconseguir algunes rondes i començar realment a empènyer a la quarta.

 

"Estic preparat per enfrontar-me a qualsevol. Ha estat difícil aconseguir baralles, però només anem a casa i preparar-nos per a la següent".
