FRESNO – desembre 3, 2018 – Combate Americas ha anunciat avui dos canvis a l'alineació pel seu tan esperat, esdeveniment més gran de l'any – la “COPA COMBATE” d'una nit, de vuit homes, $100,000 Gran Premi Arts Marcials Mixtes (MMA) pes ploma (145 lliura) enfrontament, així com els parèntesis del torneig per a l'esdeveniment que tindrà lloc divendres al Save Mart Center, Desembre. 7.

 

La segona extravagància anual "COPA COMBATE" s'emet en directe íntegrament en anglès als EUA. i Canadà a DAZN (9 p.m. ET / 6 pm. PT), i en directe per televisió en castellà als EUA. tant a Univision (12 a.m. ET / PT) i Univision Deportes Network (UDN) (12 a.m. I / 21 h. PT).

 

Originalment previst per a l'acció en un combat alternatiu de torneig anunciat anteriorment, 26-anys d'edat Joey “El Cazador” Ruquet (6-1), lluitant fora de Las Vegas, Nevada, EUA i representant a Puerto Rico, ha entrat al quadre principal del torneig de vuit jugadors on substituirà l'Uruguai San(7-2, 2 NC), que s'ha vist obligat a retirar-se del torneig a causa d'una infecció per estafilococs.

 

Addicionalment, Formatge Daniel “El Gallego”. (14-6) representarà Espanya en lloc de l'anunciat anteriorment Zebenzui "The Rock Boy" Ruiz (7-2), després que Ruiz no pogués obtenir un visat per entrar als EUA.

 

El Requeijo, de 34 anys, que prové de Las Palmas d'Espanya, Illes Canàries, compta amb una taxa d'acabat gairebé del 93 per cent, guanyant 13 de la seva 14 victòries en la seva carrera per mitjà de (T)KO o submissió.

 

Avui també s'han anunciat els parèntesis oficials del torneig per a l'assumpte del torneig "COPA COMBATE"..

 

A un costat del sorteig, o “Grup A,” Requeijo s'enfrontarà Pablo “El Gallo” Villaseca (13-4) de Santiago, Xile, mentre Alejandro “Gallito” Flores(13-1) de Monterrey, Nou Lleó, Mèxic lluitarà invicte John "Ronin" Bedoya (6-0) de Bogotà, Colòmbia.

 

A l'altra banda del sorteig, o “Grup B,” En Ruquet xocarà Bruno "Aquil·les" Cannetti (7-5) of Buenos Aires, Argentina, mentre Andrés “La Bala” Quintana (15-2) de Roswell, N.M., Els EUA s'enfrontaran a una altra estrella prolífica Marlon “Deriko Siete” Gonzales (13-3-2, 1 NC) de Lima, Perú.

 

Els guanyadors de cada partit de quarts de final del grup A es trobaran en la fase de semifinals, mentre que els guanyadors de cada partit de quarts de final del grup B faran el mateix.

El segon torneig anual "COPA COMBATE" s'emet en directe en anglès als EUA. i Canadà a DAZN (10 p.m. ET / 7 pm. ‘Argentinean Lomachenko’ Alberto Melian Wins First Professional Title in Second Pro Fight

This past Saturday, Març 17, la “Argentinean Lomachenko,” two-time Olympian Alberto “Impacto” Melian, fought for and won his first professional title in only his second professional fight.
Fighting at the Club Social y Deportivo Comercio in his hometown of Villa Dolores, Cordoba, Argentina, Melian (2-0, 2 KOs) captured the Argentine Super Bantamweight Championship with an eighth-round TKO over countryman Julian Aristule (32-9, 16 KOs).
Fighting on a show entitled “Night of the Olympians,” televised live on TyC Sports and VTV Uruguay and presented by Sampson Boxing in partnership with Tello Box and JEB Boxing, Melian was down for the first time in his young career in the first round, but came back to floor Aristule in the fifth, sixth and seventh rounds before his corner threw the towel at 0:15 de la vuitena.

Considered by several experts as the best Argentine amateur boxer of the last decade, Melian represented Argentina in numerous international tournaments, including his double Olympic participation, at the Olympic Games in London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
After knocking out the former world title contender Diego Ricardo Santillan in the fifth round in his debut (who entered the ring at 23-2), Melian received the challenge of Aristule, who was present at ringside. Melian accepted the challenge, but asked Aristule to put his national title on the line.
Among Melian’s outstanding amateur victories were wins over Cuban Olympic champion Robeisy Ramirez and Frenchman Khedafi Djelkhir, Olympic silver medalist in Beijing 2008 and APB Series World champion. En 2014, he was awarded the “Firpo de Oro” as the best boxer in the country, amateur or professional, by the Boxing´s Journalist Union of Argentina (UPERBOX).
Palmetta, former captain of the Argentinean Olympic team that participated in the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro 2016, will return to the ring after suffered his first defeat as a professional in a fight that had dominated on the cards against Gonzalo Coria.

Última nit de dissabte, two-time Argentinean Olympian Alberto “Impacte” Melian turned professional the “Lomachenko way” by knocking out the former world title challenger Diego Ricardo Santillan in the fifth round.
Fighting in front of a sold out F.A.B. Stadium in his hometown of Buenos Aires, Melian hit Santillan (ara 23-3, 15 KOs) with a sizzling right hand that dropped him for the 10 compte.
Promoted by Sampson Boxing, in association with Tello Box and JEB Boxing and with the sponsorship of Abitab and Asociación Atlética Argentinos Juniors, “Night Of High Impact” and was broadcast live by TyC Sports for all of Latin America and a large part of the United States.
Next up, the Argentinean super bantamweight phenom will face Julián “Chispita” Aristule for the Argentinean championship.

In an international special attraction, the undefeated Californian Sebastian “The Infernal Tower” Fundora (8-0, 4 KOs) won by points in unanimous decision after six rounds to the local idol David Ezequiel “Horseshoe” Romero (11-7-1, 5 KOs). Fundora is getting famous for his extraordinary size of 1.98 m. which makes him the tallest super welterweight boxer in the history of his weight class.
In another six-rounder, the Dominican middleweight, Felix “Jay Jay” Vargas (7-2, 2 KOs) won in split decision to the now former unbeaten Julián Isaias “The Diamond” Gómez (3-1, 3 KOs) de Buenos Aires.

Miguel Barrionuevo faces Adrián Verón in Argentinean Welterweight ‘Fight of the Year’

En Dissabte, Octubre 7, two of Argentina’s top welterweights, National and WBC Latino welterweight champion, Miguel “La Joya” Barrionuevo and WBO Latino welterweight champion, Adrián “Chucky” Verón, will collide in the Argentinean welterweight Fight of the Year.
To be held in Buenos Aires, Barrionuevo vs. Verón will be presented by Mario Margossian’s Argentina Boxing Promotions in association with Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing and televised live by TyC Sports in North, Central and South America, excluding Brazil and Canada.
WBC #11-rated Barrionuevo (32-3-2, 22 KOs), from San Fernando del Valle, Catamarca, will be attempting to defend his national title for the second time since winning it last September.

Barrios shared thoughts on his first training camp with Virgil Hunter, moving up and weight in more. Here is what the San Antonio-native had to say from Oakland:
On moving up to lightweight…
“En 6'1, it was getting difficult making 130 lliura. I feel a lot stronger now that I’m fighting at lightweight. It’s also safer not to be drained going into fights. En la meva última baralla, I killed myself trying to make weight. I believe this is the right move for me.”

“This will be a great card to fight on. Jesús Cuellar vs.. Abner Mares is going to be an all-out war. This will be the second time fighting at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. I’m looking to put on a great performance for all the Mexican fans that will be in attendance. Everyone will see a stronger fighter when I step in the ring on Desembre 10.”
On his recent training camp in California…
“Training in California has been very productive. I’ve got a lot of good sparring and my strength and conditioning has gone to a new level. I feel powerful and I know I’ll be at my best when I step in the ring. Considerant-ho tot, it’s been a great learning experience working out here on the west coast.”
On fighting Argentinean veteran Claudio Rosendo Tapia…
“I know he just went the distance with two undefeated fighters, so I know he’s durable. Fighters from Argentina always bring it. I know this fight will get rough at some point so I’ll be well prepared for anything he brings. I’m very confident in my ability to come out victorious.”
On his goals for 2017…
“2017 will be a year where I’ll get comfortable fighting at a higher weight class. My main goal is to stay busy and get as many fights in as possible. I can see myself possibly fighting at super lightweight if I keep growing. I’m just going to take it day by day.”

Sampson Boxing Signs Argentina’s Cesar Miguel Barrionuevo to a Promotional Agreement

Sampson Boxing proudly announces the signing of Argentinean welterweight slugger Cesar Miguel “La Joya” Barrionuevo to an exclusive long-term promotional contract.
Newtown (30-3-2, 20 KOs), from Salta, Argentina, first turned the heads of the boxing world in January of this year, when he scored a devastating one-punch KO of capable Panamanian contender Azael Cosio in the quarter finals of the World Boxing Council (CMB) welterweight tournament.
In a dominant performance, the southpaw Barrionuevo had Cosio down once each in the first, second and fourth rounds then down twice in the fifth, the last of which was a single left hook that put Cosio to sleep.
He was then scheduled to face Pennsylvania’s Sammy “The Who Can mexicana” Vasquez in the semi-finals, però, Vasquez elected to give up his chance for a green WBC belt and instead take a fight and lose to 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Felix Diaz last July.
In his seven-year professional career, the 27-year-old southpaw Barrionuevo has already held the Argentina (FAB) Welterweight and WBC Latino Welterweight Championships. The Cosio KO was the only time he has ventured outside his native Argentina to fight.
“I am happy to be joining Sampson Lewkowicz and his company,” said Barrionuevo. “I am ready to fight anyone in the world at 147 lbs and with him, I can get the fights I want. I have always said I just need the opportunities and I will do the rest.”
Lewkowicz, an expert at finding hidden boxing talent in foreign markets, says Barrionuevo has what it takes to be a top contender.
