Pound-4-Pound Boxing Program sends Jordan Aguilar and Leslie Soto to Elite Qualifier
LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Octubre 12, 2017) – On the week of October 16th-21st, two of the rising stars of the “Pound-4-Pound” boxing gym in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jordan Aguilar, 19 years-old fighting in the 108 lliura. division as well as Leslie Soto, 18 years-old in the 125 lliura, will compete at The Eastern Elite Qualifier and Regional Open Championships held at the Chattanooga Convention Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee for a national title.
The event will feature the very best fighters from across the United States and features many future stars of the division with Jordan Aguilar and Leslie Soto at the top of the list of the talent heading into next weekend’s event.
Jordan Aguilar, a well-respected amateur, who has fought in numerous national competitions is looking to show his experience and poise as one of the favorites heading into the event.
Leslie Soto also a seasoned veteran will be looking to show why her aggressive style has drawn the attention of many who have seen her in the gym. Actualment està classificada #3 by USA Boxing.

FILADÈLFIA – Dylan Price, de Sicklerville, Nova Jersey, will be named the “2016 Amateur de l'any” at the Briscoe Awards on Sunday, Octubre 15, 2017, at Xfinity Live! a Filadèlfia. Price won the US National Championships in Reno, Nevada and took home a Bronze Medal at the Youth World Championships, a St. Petersburg, Rússia, both in 2016. His stellar year earned him bragging rights as the area’s top amateur.
Price recently turned professional, and will take home the final salutation for his fine amateur career diumenge. Past winners of the award include Darmani Rock, Jaron Ennis, and Stephen Fulton, all currently unbeaten pros.
ABOUT THE BRISCOE AWARDS ON Octubre 15 DES 1-4 Primer ministre
The Briscoe Awards are named in honor of legendary Philly middleweight Bennie Briscoe and the trophies given away – the Briscoe Statue and the Briscoe Medal – all bear the deceased icon’s likeness. The event brings together the local boxing community, including the award winners, their families, past and present boxers, els fanàtics de la boxa, other boxing people, and general sports fans.
This is the tenth year for the Briscoe Awards, which are presented by Philly Boxing History Inc., 1 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization, dedicated to preserving and celebrating Philadelphia’s great boxing legacy. D-Boys Boxing Team shines at Ringside National Tournament

FILADÈLFIA (Agost 1, 2017)–D and D Management and Promotional team would like to congratulate their amateur division, D-Boys Boxing Gym, for winning five national championships at the Ringside national tournament in Kansas City, Missouri.
Head coach David Price took 8 youths from the South Jersey area to Kansas City Missouri from July 25-30th, and Five of the eight boxers won gold medals (Lake Tilghman, Wykier Travis, Raymond Ford, Derron Gaines and Dante Trader); and three won bronze metals (Devin Price, Fitzroy Paul and Jule Jackson).
D-Boys Boxing has a goal of keeping the young people in the gyms and out of the streets.
D-Boys boxing is s non-profit organization, and any and all contributions would further efforts of keeping the South Jersey youth on the road to success.

Vito Mielnicki, Jr. places 2nd in the Golden Gloves Junior National Tournament in Mesquite, Nevada

Nutley, Nova Jersey (Juliol 31, 2017) – Last week in Mesquite, Nevada. 15 year-old Vito Mielnicki, Jr. took 2nd place in the Golden Gloves Junior National Tournament.

What made this a special feat for Mielnicki, was that he went up five weight classes for 101 lliures a 125 and narrowly lost to a split decision to the number-one ranked Luis Ybarra of Colorado.
Mielnicki is a former three-time Junior National Golden Goves champion, and was named the tournament Most Outstanding Boxer twice. Mielnicki went up in weight and fought him on the highly accomplished Ybarra on even terms.
Since the age of seven, Mielnicki has been trained by Wali Moses , who is the grandfather and trainer of 2016 Olympic Silver Medal winner Shakur Stevenson

Demler Zamora of Las Vegas’ P4P Boxing Program Brings Home Gold

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Juliol 5, 2017) – After traveling overseas for the “Monkstown Dublin Box Cup 2017”, an international amateur boxing tournament in Ireland, Demler Zamora III dels Pound-4-Pound Boxing program in Las Vegas, brought home a gold medal. Addicionalment, Zamora was voted most outstanding boxer of the tournament, which hosted over 1,000 fighters from around the world.
“Demler Zamora III is a special talent and one of the best boxers in our program,” said Pound-4-Pound owner Richard Barrientes. “El seu pare Demler II, who is his head coach, puts in a lot of work to make his son the fighter he is. He’s an amazing coach and he’s a big reason for the success of our program with is knowledge of the sport, in addition to his strength and conditioning workouts. For Demler to bring back a gold medal and the most outstanding boxer of the tournament, says a lot about the kid, seu pare, and our program. Our kids strive to be the best and their hard work shows when they come out victorious in these tournaments. I couldn’t be happier for the Zamora’s. They are a very hard-working family.”

Las Vegas’ Pound-4-Pound Boxing Program Sends 18 Participants to 6th Annual Southern California State Championships

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Juny 8, 2017) – La “Pound-4-Pound” gimnàs de boxa, Las Vegas’ #1 amateur boxing program, is sending 18 participants to this weekend’s 6º Annual Southern California State Championships, in beautiful Menifee, Califòrnia. The three-day tournament, sanctioned by U.S.A. Boxa, goes live starting this Friday June 9º, and carries on through June 11º.
Pound-4-Pound head coach, Richard Barrientes Jr., has been grooming most of his students since they were 8-years old. Barrientes hopes to bring home titles in several weight classes.
“This is a very difficult tournament for all weight classes because there are so many good fighters participating from Southern and Northern California, along with some neighboring states,” said Barrientes. “I feel we have some of the top kids competing in this tournament and I’m hoping to bring home a few titles. No serà fàcil, but I have faith my team will do well, because I know they all put in an extremely amount of hard work. Guanyi o perdi, it’s all about keeping these kids in a positive environment, where they can excel and gain self-esteem.”

LOWELL, Missa. (Març 3, 2017) – Western New England won its fourth consecutive New England Tournament of Champions open class team title last night in the grand finale of the 71st annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, a l'històric Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Western NE had seven individual winners to earn the Bill Hoar Memorial Award as the Most Outstanding Team. Northern New England finished second with three individual winners and Central New England had two.
“Un cop més,” Nova Anglaterra Guants d'Or Director Executiu Bobby Russo dit, “it was a great tournament with so many good, competitive matches. We had the biggest crowd of the season turnout for the finals. The draw was done by computer, so the marches were nice and fair. I really liked the way these boxers were matched. The fans here in Lowell have been appreciated for a long time watching good fights and we plan to keep that rich tradition going.”
Western New England bantamweight Nathan Martínez, qui va derrotar Josep Valdez on points last night, was named the recipient of the Thomas Costello Memorial Award as the Most Outstanding Boxer.

Anyone of the male boxers on Team New England could win at The Nationals. I think Elvis (Figueroa), Yarmarco (Guzmán) i Josniel (Castro). I will offer the Team New England head coaching position to Luis Rosa from the winning Western New England team. We’ll also be brining Carlos García (veteran coach from Worcester), who will be inducted into the National Golden Gloves Hall of Fame.)

Estic orgullós d'anunciar oficialment la meva 6a Reunió Oficial de Boxa Amateur que tindrà lloc el març 18 al Monique's Lounge de Harlem, Nova York. Estic esperant amb diferència el resultat més gran de qualsevol dels anteriors 5 reunions que es van celebrar dues vegades a Rival Boxing a Las Vegas, una vegada a Jimmy's Corner a Manhattan i una vegada cadascun als casinos Mohegan Sun i Foxwoods de Connecticut.
Del més 100 boxejadors que assisteixen fins aquí, entre ells espero els gustos 1988 Plata medallista olímpic Riddick Big Daddy Bowe, Campió dels Guants d'Or de Nova York “Verí” Júnior Jones, 1984 campió olímpic Mark Breland, 1974 Campió olímpic nacional juvenil Marlon Starling, 1996 Capità de l'equip olímpic dels EUA Lawrence d'Clay-Bey i 1988 Campió Nacional de Guants d'Or Marc “Too Sharp” Johnson.

Qualsevol mitjà de comunicació que vulgui assistir a l'esdeveniment a Harlem, Nova York el març 18 són més que benvinguts per formar part de les festes.
