Ozgul-Scriven II - Títol en línia per a la represa del York Hall del 2 de maig

L'octubre de l'any passat, l'invicte Turk Siar Ozgul, basat en Hackney, i el seu rival Matt Scriven, van fer campanya en un dels més propers., tota acció, batalles de l'any.

 

Va ser un veritable clàssic de la sala petita que realment mereixia almenys ser nominada per al guardó de "Fight of the Year", si no ser el guanyador absolut, no obstant això, això no havia de ser tan d'alguna manera que va aconseguir passar per sota del radar de la majoria dels mitjans britànics..

 

El dissabte de maig 2nd, aquests magnífics guerrers tornaran a entrar a l'arena, a York Hall a Bethnal Green, Londres, aquesta vegada en un concurs de deu rondes i amb l'incentiu afegit d'un campionat en joc – el títol vacant de pes welter internacional de MBC: a l'esdeveniment LORDS OF THE RING promocionat Mark Lyons i Billy James-Elliott.

 

L'Octubre Ozgul-Scriven Battle Boyale recordava la primera de la trilogia de baralles de Mickey Ward-Arturo Gatti que va tenir lloc a 2002/3, Sens dubte, una de les trilogies de baralles més grans de tots els temps que aquest esport hagi presenciat.

Quina lluita, sens dubte la lluita de la nit, ja que ambdós protagonistes van anar a la guerra.

L'àrbitre Lee Murtagh va marcar el combat 39-37 a favor d'Ozgul, el veredicte correcte sens dubte, però que realment no expressa com de gran va ser aquesta lluita o com de properes van ser totes i cadascuna de les rondes".

MBC & PBA Ink Deal – British Masters Title Fights For MBC UK Events

It was announced earlier today that Malta Boxing Commission (MBC) and the Professional Boxing Association (PBA) have inked a deal, that will not only mean that the hugely popular British Masters Championship, but also the as well as the all new European Masters Championship, that is being created specifically for the MBC, can now be campaigned for on MBC sanctioned events in the United Kingdom for the first time.

 

For the past sixteen years or so, both the British and International Masters Championships have only been available on British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) sanctioned events in the UK, however with the MBC’s rapid growth in the United Kingdom, projected to be sanctioning in excess of forty events in England, Gal·les, Scotland and Northern Ireland in 2015, it became clear to PBA Chairman Mr Bruce Baker that there was potential for further growth for the Championships if they were also available on MBC sanctioned events.

 

Over the past sixteen years or so there have been close to six hundred Masters title fights that have taken place in the UK, many of the Masters Champions have then gone on to campaign for major accolades on the domestic, international and even the World stage.

 

The most famous of these Masters Champions is no less than former two division WBO World Champion Ricky Burns, who after winning the International Masters Super Featherweight title against Romania’s Gheorghe Ghiompirica in May 2008, was catapulted onto the International stage, where in his very next bout the Scotsman successfully challenged American based Ghanaian Osumanu Akaba for the vacant Commonwealth title.

 

Burn’s successfully defended the Commonwealth crown three times before moving onto the World scene, where he then successfully challenged then WBO World Super Featherweight Champion Roman Martinez from Puerto Rico.

 

Once more Burn’s successfully defended his WBO World Super Featherweight crown three times before moving up a division and beating Australia’s Michael Katsidis for the interim WBO World Lightweight title in November 2011.

 

On his very next fight Burn’s secured the full WBO World Lightweight title, beating Namibia’s Paulus Moses at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow in March 2012.

 

Burn’s successfully defended his second World title four times before succumbing to the skills of Omaha, USA’s Terence Crawford in March 2014.

 

With such an illustrious Championship career blossoming from Burns’ first tilt at a title, there can be no doubt of the importance of the Masters titles on the domestic scene, something that now can also benefit the boxers, both British and those from overseas that box on the UK events sanctioned by the MBC.

 

The inaugural Masters Championship, that will take place on an MBC sanctioned event in the UK, sees Czech Republic’s Nikolas Botos challenge Bradford’s Tasif Khan for the International Masters Bantamweight title on the Mark Lyons and Billy James-Elliott promoted event which takes place at York Hall in London on Saturday May 2nd.

Haywood es prepara per a Pepper Showdown el 2 de maig

Jerome Haywood, de Champions TKO, s'enfrontarà a Matthew Pepper de Scunthorpe a l'esdeveniment de promocions de Mark Lyons i Billy James-Elliott Wise Guys LORDS OF THE RING., que té lloc al York Hall de Bethnal Green, Londres el dissabte 2nd Maig 2015.

 

Jerome tornarà a York Hall, l'escenari del seu exitós debut professional l'octubre de l'any passat, on va aconseguir una victòria de punts ben merescuda sobre Rolandas Cesna.

 

Ja a l'octubre, després d'un inici una mica vacil·lant, Haywood aviat es va establir i va portar la lluita al seu oponent més experimentat, pressionant el gran lituà amb cops durs i drets pesats al cos.

 

El treball de Haywood al cos va començar a afectar Cesna, Tant és així que a mitjan tercera Cesna estava clarament lluitant per fer front al càstig constant a les costelles..

 

A la quarta Haywood va augmentar encara més la pressió, que al seu torn va obligar a Cesna a tapar-se per protegir la seva caixa toràcica contusa i malmesa.

 

Després de quatre rondes excel·lents, l'àrbitre Alf Sprung va anotar el combat 40-38 a favor de Haywood.

 

L'oponent de Haywood al maig 2nd és Matthew Pepper de Scunthorpe, que farà la seva primera visita a la famosa casa de la boxa de la capital.

 

Després d'una sessió d'entrenament, sota l'atenta mirada del seu entrenador Brian O'Shaughnessy al gimnàs Champions TKO a Hackney, Haywood va parlar breument sobre el proper enfrontament amb Matthew Pepper.

 

"Encantat de tornar a lluitar, han passat sis mesos des de la meva lluita de debut.

 

Després de la meva última baralla, Tenia l'esperança de sortir de nou el més aviat possible i hauria de fer-ho, Havia de lluitar al març, però vaig haver de retirar-me d'aquell, ja que em vaig trobar amb un error aproximadament una setmana abans de lluitar.

 

La meva primera baralla, sí, ho vaig gaudir, Jo estava ben preparat per a això, era dur però res que no pogués manejar.

 

No en sé massa sobre Mateu (Pebre), però hem estat treballant molt al gimnàs, així que espero fer una bona actuació per als meus fans, a qui no puc agrair prou pel seu fantàstic suport".

Canada’s Tony Luis Disappointed in Scoring of Controversial Loss, but Vows to Keep Fighting for his Goals!

Canadian lightweight Tony “Llampec” Luis (19-3, 7 KOs) says he’s disappointed with the scoring of his controversial unanimous-decision loss last weekend to Derry Mathews (38-9-2, 20 KOs) for the interim WBA Lightweight title in Matthews’ hometown of Liverpool, Anglaterra, but won’t let it deter him from his goals.

Despite taking the fight on three days’ avís, Luis seemed to outwork Matthews in most rounds and would probably be wearing a championship belt today, had the fight been contested on neutral ground. Desafortunadament, the European judges saw it another way, scoring it 114-112 (Jean Legland, Des de), 115-112 (Dave Parris, Regne Unit) i 114-112 (Stefano Carozza, ITA), all for Matthews.

“I can’t say I feel good,” said Luis, home safely in Cornwall, Ontario. “This was my shot and I didn’t get the decision, but I know with my performance, I’ll get another one. Most of the press and the fans, especially in North America, know what’s up and saw the fight for what it really was. Derry did what he had to do to survive but not enough to win. He was cagey and made the fight look more competitive than it was, and that’s what a veteran is supposed to do.”

Despite his disappointment in the scoring, Luis says taking the fight was still a good career choice. “It was absolutely the right decision. You don’t turn down a title shot. But taking it on three days’ avís, we knew we’d have to shake off the jetlag quickly. My game plan was good, but on such short notice, it wasn’t muscle memory. I had to keep thinking about it in the ring. That’s why I think it took me three rounds to get going. Despite all this, I still won the fight. Now I know I belong among the champions in this division and that’s a good feeling.”

Luis’ promotor, Greg Cohen, de Promocions Greg Cohen, says he’s pleased with his fighter’s strong performance and will immediately go to work for the 27-year-old.

“Tony looked sensational en dissabte,” va dir Cohen. “Taking the fight on such short notice, you’d think fatigue would play a role, but he was a machine in there. That shows you how hard he works in the gym. Of course we’re disappointed in the scoring, but looking at the big picture, we now know we have a championship-caliber fighter in Tony. He responded perfectly to the pressure of a world championship fight. I will be petitioning the sanctioning bodies to keep Tony high up in the ratings and give him another title shot very soon. This time on neutral ground.”

Luis will be returning to action quickly, he is set to fight for a regional title against an opponent TBA on Juny 26 at the Seneca Niagara Event Center in Niagara Falls, Nova York, and live on CBS Sports Network.

“I’m a bit discouraged from the politics,” continuar Luis, “but am I deterred from my goals? Absolutament no. The people have spoken, the fans know who won and that is consolation for me. I will keep moving forward!”

Legendary Referee Mickey Vann To Officiate MBC’s Inaugural Scottish Event This Saturday

Legendary globe trotting Championship referee Mickey Vann will be making one of his shortest international journeys in a long while, this coming weekend, when he officiates the first Malta Boxing Commission (MBC) sanctioned event in Scotland, the Stewart Allan promoted event at the Rivals Gym in Wishaw on Saturday 25º Abril 2015.

 

Vann, who has been the MBC’s chief referee since 2013, has been officiating for close to forty years, the first bout he refereed was Eddie Smith versus Joe Jackson at the Anglo American Sporting Club in Manchester on the 11ºOctubre 1976.

 

It would be some seven years later before Vann refereed his first domestic Championship bout, the BBBofC Central Area Featherweight Title fight between Steve Pollard and Steve Farnsworth at the Tiffany’s Nightclub in Hull on the 29º Març 1983.

 

Three years later Vann refereed his first International Championship contest, the Commonwealth Lightweight Title fight between Zimbabwe’s Langton Tinago and Australia’s Graeme Brooke at the Granada Studios in Manchester on 23rd Agost 1986.

 

With numerous British, Commonwealth and European title contests under his belt on the 8º Juny 1990 Vann refereed his first World Championship bout, the WBC World Minimumweight title fight between Japan’s Hideyuki Ohashi and Thailand’s Napa Kiatwanchai in Tokyo, Japó.

 

To date Vann has refereed one hundred and forty three International, Inter-Continental and World title contests for the World Sanctioning Organisations, such as WBC, OMB, FIB, WBU etc as well as an even higher number of European, Mancomunitat, British and Irish domestic title fights during his eight hundred and eighty two bout career to date.

 

The most recent of these bouts being the WBO Inter-Continental Cruiserweight title fight between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and Russian Andry Knyazev, which took place in Kiev just last weekend.

 

In addition Vann has also judged one hundred and seventy three Championship contests since 1978, taking his officiating career total to an incredible one thousand and fifty five contests, sorry make that one thousand and fifty six contests if we include the upcoming event this weekend.

 

Shortly after returning from Kiev, the effervescent Vann spoke briefly about his career and the upcoming event he is to officiate in Scotland en dissabte.

 

“What can I say I didn’t realise I’d refereed that many fights,

 

My most memorable fight would naturally be Lennox Lewis and Frank Bruno at Cardiff Arms Park, that was history.

 

But have refereed so many memorable fights, where do I start, Shea Neary and Mickey Ward, now that was a great fight.

 

There’s some from years ago I can remember, like Jean-Marc Renard against Farid Benredjeb, oh what a war that was, they both ended up in hospital.

 

Another memorable fight was Cassius Boloyi against Phillip Ndou, It was a war, una guerra absoluta

 

They were two South Africans but from different tribes, they wanted me to referee it, not a South African, which was very much appreciated.

 

I remember refereeing the WBC mandatory Lightweight title fight, between Leavander Johnson and Miguel Angel Gonzalez, in a bullring, which was an experience.

 

I refereed in America Jorge Paez and Angel Manfredy, that was a terrific fight, in fact refereed three or four times in America.

 

I think if you count them all I think I refereed in thirty nine different countries, I left school at seven and went back at thirteen and left again at fourteen and I didn’t know at that time that there were that many countries in the world. Jo no, honestament.

 

I just enjoy what I do, you know I’ve been to Russia, Argentina, Japó, all over, I just got back from Kiev.

 

People come up for photographs, even in Kiev, with Mickey the dancer and then they pretend they are you moving about, it’s lovely.

 

I pick out nothing really, I just pick out what has been the big fights that I’ve enjoyed.

 

I qualified as a star grade referee in 1978 and I’m still going, I’d done hundreds of fights by then, it’s not a job really, it’s just enjoyment as such.

 

I wasn’t a very good pro fighter, I was a pretty good amateur, I had sixty six fights as an amateur and lost nineteen, but you used to have three fights a day in the Championships, you fought in the morning, won that you fought in the afternoon and if you won that you fought at night to get through to the next round, in the Army Championships and the boys clubs sort of thing, that’s what we all did.

 

As a pro I have fourteen fights but I lost nine, but I enjoyed it, I’m glad I turned pro and I’m glad I fought, I’m glad I fought amateur and pro and I missed it when I retired and I wanted to do something and my manager suggested I referee, I wanted to coach but Tommy Miller, my manager said to me ‘Jesus Mick what could you teach anyone’, so he said to me you want to be a referee, so I put in for it and it took me two years and I qualified.

 

I’ve enjoyed every minute of it and some times have been better than others, in fact they used to hate me in Scotland, they thought I hated the Scots. I heard this on the radio many times.

 

Alex Morrison will tell you, he thought I was hater of Scotsmen, Jo no estava, just they never seemed to get the verdict from me, so it’s quite ironic that aquest dissabte it’s the Scottish promoter and the Scottish boxers that asked for me for this show.

 

I’ve always had great fun there and my all time favourite fighter is a Scotsman, Ken Buchanan, so it’s really nice that they want me to be there for the first MBC sanctioned event there, I can’t wait.”

 

Mickey Vann will be the referee for both the Sandy Robb versus Mathew Ellis and Scott Allan versus Isaac Quaye that co-headline the Stewart Allan (Rivals Promocions) event at the Rivals Gym in Wishaw, Escòcia dissabte 25º Abril 2015.

El prospecte turc Ozgul es prepara per a l'enfrontament a Londres amb Miekle el 2 de maig

L'invicte prospecte de pes lleuger de Champions TKO Gym, Onder Ozgul, farà la seva cinquena sortida professional en poc més d'una setmana., quan s'enfronta a la molt entretinguda Jody Meikle, de Scunthorpe, en un concurs de sis rondes, a l'esdeveniment de promocions de Mark Lyons i Billy James-Elliott Wise Guys LORDS OF THE RING al York Hall de Londres dissabte 2nd Maig 2015.

Ozgul, s'ha construït una gran reputació, com un boxejador seriosament dur i intransigent, durant l'últim any més o menys, després de les victòries de primer nivell sobre el lituà Dmitrij Kalinovskij, Iain Jackson de Bighton, Remigijus Ziausys de Lituània i, més recentment, sobre el gran cop de puny de la República Txeca Karel Horejsek.

Amb un estil i un enfocament de boxa sorprenentment semblants al d'un tal Mike Tyson "Iron"., no hauria de sorprendre que els fans turcs d'Ozgul hagin sobrenomenat el seu home "Little Mike"., un nom que també han començat a adoptar els seguidors britànics que l'han vist en acció.

Això a part, La determinació d'Ozgul podria ser provada poderosament per Miekle, que l'última vegada va anotar un bon empat sòlid contra el contundent de Portsmouth Sam Couzens, no hi ha cap sorpresa, ja que a l'home de Lincolnshire no només li agrada una bona festa de llimacs de peu a peu passat de moda., però també té una ratxa entremaliada molt entretinguda.

Parlant al famós gimnàs Champions TKO a Hackney, Ozgul va parlar breument sobre el proper enfrontament amb l'home que anomenen "The Entertainer".

"Estic content d'estar lluitant contra un sis rodons, Seria feliç si fos un vuit, Entreno durant dotze rondes, així que sis és fàcil per a mi.

 

La nostra manera de veure-ho és si pots córrer una marató, llavors córrer una mitja marató és fàcil, per això treballem tant al gimnàs, així que és fàcil al ring.

 

La meva última baralla la vaig entrenar dur, Aleshores també vaig entrenar durant dotze rondes, l'oponent era fort i durador, però encara va ser una lluita fàcil per a mi.

 

Serà el mateix la setmana vinent, Estaré preparat per a qualsevol cosa que porti Jody Meikle, M'han dit que Jody és dura, bé, això vol dir que tindrem una molt bona lluita.

 

Estic molt content que el meu germà Siar tingui una lluita pel títol al maig 2nd i encara més feliç que lluitaré a la fitxa de la seva lluita pel títol i espero que tothom surti i ens doni tot el seu suport a tots dos.

Speight delighted to secure Home Advantage

26 year old “The Genius” Jamie Speight has a wish come true on 16º Maig 2015 when he co-headlines the massive Goodwin Boxing “Master Class” bill at York Hall defending his Southern Area Featherweight title against Ian Bailey.

 

“I am over the moon at signing with Steve Goodwin” said Jamie “With everything he has done for me so far I could not be happier. This is the first time in years I have not had to go on the road and be the away fighter and have waited to be promoted as the home fighter for so long”.

 

Speight has had an up and down career but being sent as the away fighter meant that to Speight he never had the rub of the green or the advantage given to other fighters. Only two years ago Speight took Josh Warrington the distance in Warrington’s back yard and then subsequently lost a contentious decision to Lewis Pettitt once again in the opponent’s corner.

 

Maig 2014 and Speight once again was in the opponents corner when he stopped Craig Whyatt to win this belt he is now defending but now the time has come for Speight to enjoy home advantage.

 

“I just want a fair crack of the whip and with Steve now in control of my career I know I will get that. I need to win this title as the next day I am flying with the Goodwin team to Turkey for a training camp and that needs to be a celebration.” Speight added “My aim is the British title at Featherweight and provided I keep winning Steve has promised he will deliver that to me.”

 

“This is a tough fight. Ian Bailey does not receive the credit he deserves. Like myself Ian has taken short notice fights and yet stops people with winning records. We have given him 2 months notice so he can prepare as well as myself and may the best man win.”

 

The Speight v Bailey clash is one of 4 50/50 intriguing Southern Area title fights on the bill with 3 masters titles as well making this one of the best non TV shows seen in London for a long time.

 

Adam Dingsdale defends his Southern Area Lightweight title against Prizefighter finalist Michael “Chunky” Devine.

 

Philip “Quicksilver” Bowes (9-1) challenges for the Light-Welterweight version against the unbeaten former Prizefighter Champion Johnny Coyle whilst Johnny Garton makes his second defence of the Welterweight version against former English title challenger Martin Welsh.

Championship Battle Headlines Wise Guys Promotions Inaugural Event On May 2nd

Eminent MMA promoter Mark Lyons has linked up with Britain’s youngest professional boxing promoter, eighteen year old Billy James-Elliott to create a new professional boxing promotions outfit – Promocions Wise Guys.

 

Their first event, titled LORDS OF THE RING, will take place at the famed York Hall, In Bethnal Green, Londres el dissabte, 2nd Maig 2015, and will be headlined by the vacant MBC International Welterweight Championship battle between Siar Ozgul and Matt Scriven.

 

Hackney based Ozgul and Nottingham’s Scriven are old foes, having fought each other as recently as October last year.

 

It was an all action, closely fought small hall classic, an enthralling, intense four rounds of toe-to-toe action, so much so that when Scriven approached both the event promoters and Ozgul’s management asking if he could be considered as Ozgul’s opponent for the title fight, all parties agreed in an instant.

 

Who wouldn’t, these two put on a magnificent display of the pugilistic arts, not too dissimilar to the classic Mickey Ward-Arturo Gatti trilogy of fights from 2002/3.

 

Control of the fight switched between the two warriors throughout, both gave their all for every second of every round, much to the appreciation of those in attendance, as was clear when the bout was voted the Fight of the Night and a clear contender for the end of year Fight of the Year accolade.

 

On that occasion it was Ozgul that rightly emerged victorious, by a 39-37 point margin, however that score line just didn’t reflect just how close each round was or give any insight in to just how thrilling the bout was.

 

Main support, for the Ozgul-Scriven Championship bout, sees Bradford’s Tasif Khan return to York Hall, the scene of his sensational first round stoppage victory over Richard Voros in January.

 

Al maig 2nd Khan challenges Czech Republic’s Patrik Bartos for the International Masters Bantamweight title.

 

Adding an added element of intrigue to this particular match up, is that both Khan and Bartos have a recent opponent in common, Ladislav Miko, what’s more both stopped Miko early in their bouts, Bartos late in the second and Khan with a sensational one minute and fifteen second of the first round knockout.

 

Heading up the support card sees Chester’s WBF Intercontinental Super Bantamweight Champion Paul Economides against Doncaster’s former British Super Flyweight Champion Andy Bell.

 

Economides comes into the bout high in confidence, following a sensational second round stoppage victory, over former Commonwealth title challenger Isaac Quaye, només el mes passat.

 

What makes this victory so special is that Economides became the first person to stop the gutsy thirty seven fight veteran, a major feat indeed considering Quaye had previously fought the likes of British and Commonwealth Champion Don Broadhurst, Britànic, Commonwealth and European Champion Kevin Satchell and WBO European Champion Iain Butcher.

 

Another top class match up sees Siar Ozgul’s older sibling Onder in action against Scunthorpe’s highly entertaining Jody Miekle.

Back in October Marston clinically beat then European #3 i World #31 ranked Marianna Gulyas, to secure the coveted MBC International Crown, by a shut out unanimous points margin.

 

Former BBBofC Welsh Champion Lee Churcher will be making his first visit to the famed York Hall on May 2nd, where he will face a yet to be announced opponent.

 

Churcher comes into the fight off the back of a run of five solid wins, since last losing to Costas Osben back in July 2011.

 

Sensational unbeaten Featherweight David Agadzhanyan also makes his first visit to London on May 2nd.

 

Agadzhanyan, who has three stoppage victories from his four bouts to date, won the battle of the undefeated in his last fight, taking Czech Republic’s Daniel Bazo’s coveted ‘O’ with a superb 39-37 point victory in Liverpool in March.

 

Eric Mokonzo will be looking to secure his first pro victory, following his debut loss against Darren McKenna, when he faces debut boy Andy Cona, whilst Luton’s unbeaten Manny Muhammad, who was originally due to fight Mokonzo, will now face a yet to be named opponent.

 

Al maig 2nd Finsbury Park’s Mark ‘The Flash’ Alexander returns to York Hall, the scene of his magnificent third round stoppage victory over Lithuania’s Tadas Stulginkas back in October.

 

Making their pro debuts on May 2nd will be Nottingham’s Garfield Mushore and Canning Town’s Kimberley Leah.

Robb-Ellis & Allan-Quaye Co-Titular Rivals Promocions abril 25º Newmains Esdeveniment.

 

Allan Scott, i Sandy Robb s'estableixen per co-titular de l'última oferta de promotor famós Stewart Allan, que té lloc al Gimnàs Rivals en Newmains, Escòcia dissabte 25º Abril.

 

El line-up estel·lar compta amb una sèrie d'interessants perspectives joves, però, el partit en marxa que ha atret la major atenció és la batalla Creuer co-protagonitzada entre sorra Robb (9(5)-2) i de Blackpool Mathew 'The Rock' Ellis (20(9)-10-2).

 

Robb, que ha estat competint al Canadà des 2012, estarà competint en el seu primer combat en sòl escocès i al seu excel·lent quarta victòria d'atur ronda sobre polonès Marcin Radola maig '06.

 

El oponent de Robb, l'ex retador al títol del CMB Internacional Mathew Ellis, ha lluitat a terme amb alguns dels millors en el joc intern, notables com Tyson Fury, Enzo Maccarinelli, De Tony Bellew, Matty Askin etc, així que no és estrany per què això està determinat baralla ha capturat l'atenció de tots.

Britànic #1 i regnant MBC Internacional campió supergallo Marianne Marston té previst tornar al Saló de Nova York a l'East End londinenc, l'escena de la seva sensacional victòria assegurar Campionat sobre Marianne Gulyas finals de l'any passat, en unes setmanes, on s'enfrontarà a un rival encara no té nom en el Mark Lyons & Billy Elliott va promoure SENYORS DE L'ANELL esdeveniment el dissabte 2nd Maig 2015.

 

Ja a l'octubre Marston dominat completament el procediment contra el llavors hongarès #1, Europeu #3 i World #31 Classificat Gulyas per assegurar el títol vacant de MBC Internacional supergallo.

 

De principi a fi, va ser l'esquerrà britànic taca que va portar la baralla al seu oponent molt molt més experimentat, agressivament en el futur, utilitzant els seus cops tallants i punxants esquerres amb gran efecte.

 

Al llarg de Marston semblava ser capaç d'escollir del seu oponent a voluntat, en fer-ho així Gulyas esquerra una altra opció que defensen a la jubilació.

El magnífic exclòs victòria va disparar Marston a la classificació, així com li va valer una oportunitat pel títol Mundial, contra l'actual Campió WIBA, Shannon O'Connell d'Austràlia, que tindrà lloc a finals d'aquest estiu.

 

No obstant això, és el proper combat que Marston se centra actualment en, com va fer clar quan va parlar anteriorment.

 

"Tinc moltes ganes de tornar a lluitar, sobretot de tornada a York Hall.

 

És a prop de sis mesos des que vaig guanyar el títol, He d'admetre que m'esperava estar fora molt a principis d'aquest any, però per una raó o una altra que simplement no succeirà.

 

Si hagués que tindria ja sigui defensat el títol MBC o lluitat pel títol de la UMC Europeu de nou, però amb la lluita pel títol mundial ve aquest estiu es va decidir que en lloc de tenir tota la pressió que ve amb una baralla pel títol, ens trobaríem amb un oponent amb un estil semblant a Shannon (Campió actual WIBA Mundial Shannon O'Connell) per lluitar al maig 2nd perquè poguéssim utilitzar això com un simulacre prova seriosament com a tal.

 

Jo sé que vaig guanyar cada ronda contra Marianna (Gulyas) però el seu estil és molt diferent a Shannon, per sort, encara que el meu company d'espàrring principal és Ian Napa, Ian és tan experimentat i pot boxejar en qualsevol estil, que és genial, ja que sabem que pot preparar-se adequadament per a tots dos Shannon i la meva maig 2nd adversari.

 

Ian brillant, tenir algú que ha estat allà, fet això i té la samarreta per provar, Sincerament, crec que és la seva entrada als meus preparatius que fa tota la diferència, Vull dir que ha guanyat tant als títols britànics i europeus doble de bé que va lluitar per nombrosos títols, així que realment sap el que es necessita.

 

També ajuda que tinc un gran equip amb experiència al meu voltant, el meu entrenador Brian O'Shaughnessy realment m'ha comprat a, ara en lloc de ser més o menys unidimensional en el meu enfocament ara estic totalment arrodonit i puc boxejar en qualsevol estil, fins i tot al peu del darrere, que és una cosa que sempre em va semblar difícil de fer.

 

Explica que quan estàs de espàrring gent com Ian (Napa), Assolellat (Edwards) i Ian Bailey tot el temps, ha de ser capaç d'adaptar-, pel que alguns dels elogis que anar a ells també.

 

He gaudit molt de ser el Campió Internacional MBC, guanyar el títol m'ha afectat de manera positiva, No ho puc explicar, però és que sóc un lluitador diferent ara, potser això és només la confiança de saber que puc anar deu rondes amb un lluitador classificat mundial i no només mantenir la meva pròpia, però guanyar-los.

 

Ara he de fer servir això per a mi avantatge, primer he de vèncer a qui sigui estaré lluitant al maig 2nd i després, per descomptat, Shannon quan jo desafiament al seu títol.

 

Sé que he dit això abans, però quan la meva carrera arriba a la seva fi, Vull ser recordat com un boxejador que tenia bones habilitats, un campió adequada, no algú que simplement va lliscar a través de la seva carrera.

 

Vull baralles reals, baralles significatives, creguin-me que no estic buscant al maig 2nd sent un escalfament ni res d'això, Vull fer una gran declaració al maig 2nd, Vull Shannon de preocupar-se per la Marianne que s'enfrontarà al seu aquest estiu, Vull que sàpiga que vaig a prendre el seu títol d'ella ".
