FNU combattimento Sports Show: UFC Fight Night Recap, Pacquiao vs. Matthysse ancora, “Big Rig” Si ritira

Questa settimana al FNU Combat Sports Show, discutiamo delle ultime novità in MMA e boxe, riepilogare gli eventi della scorsa settimana e visualizzare in anteprima i prossimi eventi di questa settimana. Discutiamo anche di Walter “2 Pistole” Wright ha vinto il suo incontro principale contro Mark DeLuca un paio di giorni dopo che lo abbiamo intervistato la scorsa settimana. La vittoria della decisione divisa di Wright è arrivata in parte a causa di un jab persistente che ha frustrato DeLuca e lo ha lasciato insanguinato, contuso ed esausto dalla campana finale. Ovviamente sollevare questo fatto ci fa andare avanti sull'assoluta necessità del jab nella cassetta degli attrezzi di qualsiasi combattente di sport da combattimento.

Tra le novità tocchiamo:

Le voci sul prossimo combattimento di Manny Pacquiao con Lucas Matthysse sono in pericolo, Manny e il suo team dicono che tutto è sulla buona strada.

Johny “Big Rig” Hendricks si ritira (ha anche dimenticato di menzionare che anche Rashad Evans si è ritirato).

 

L'ultimo cast di The Contender Series, impostato per tornare questo mese di agosto 16 giovani pugili emergenti nella divisione 160 libbre.

 

La defezione di Lyoto Machida dall'UFC a Bellator e l'accordo di Bellator con DAZN, un servizio di streaming che sta lavorando per conquistare nuovi mercati quest'anno, compresi gli Stati Uniti e l'Italia.

Tom, Tony and Rich have a ton of ground to cover in this episode. We recap last week’s most significant fights, starting with the first sanctioned bareknuckle boxing event in hundreds of years. We also break down the latest UFC Fight Night card where Jimmie Rivera took the first loss in his last 21 combattimenti. We discuss Dana White’s tirade against fighters who don’t take the fights the company wants them to, and we blast Canelo Alvarez and his team for destroying all chances of another fight with GGG. We take a good chunk of the show to outline and analyze all the various boxing matches taking place this Saturday, from Tyson Fury’s return to the ring against Sefer Seferi to the battle of pound for pound best and undefeated welterweights Jeremy Horn and Terrence Crawford fighting on ESPN+ (which we criticize heavily). We also touch on the debut card for PFL, a fight league where all the prize money comes at the end of the season. Questa settimana al FNU Combat Sports Show, Tom, Tony and Rich discuss a wide variety of topics. We start out with the ESPN/UFC broadcast rights deal for five years, 30 fight cards and $1.5 billion. We also discuss the infighting among boxing promoters lately with both Bob Arum and UK upstart Eddie Hearn scrambling to sign free agents while trying to fill slots for slated shows in the United States over the coming year. We go on to recap last week’s combat sports action, highlighting the Adonis Stevenson vs. Badou Jack majority draw and the Usman vs Maia 5-round snoozefest headlining last Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night card. We of course also preview this weekend’s boxing matches and the UFC and Bellator cards coming out of England. We even touch on the regulation of bareknuckle boxing and Bobby Gunn’s claim of no fatalities recorded in the sport. Lo spettacolo di sport da combattimento illimitato di questa settimana è una grande miscela di boxe e arti marziali miste. Tom, Tony e Rich coprono tutta l'azione dell'ultimo fine settimana e si meravigliano del maestro del suo mestiere che è Vasyl Lomachenko. Discutiamo di Chuck Liddell che esce dalla pensione con Golden Boy MMA, e Tito Ortiz prendono il dibattito per essere il suo primo avversario. Abbiamo anche un po 'di dibattito su Raquel Pennington che dice al suo angolo che voleva fare dopo il quarto round contro Amanda Nunes. Tom, Tony and Rich recap last week’s boxing action, including the quick KO of Vanes Martirosyan by Gennady Golovkin. We also look ahead to Ryan Bader vs. King Mo Lawal in the Bellator Heavyweight Tournament. Inoltre, Raquel Pennington takes on Amanda Nunes at UFC 224, and Pennington will likely have to win by knockout to get the belt in the Brazilian backyard of Nunes. We also chat about the week’s major news stories in combat sports, namely Chuck Liddell wanting a rematch with Tito Ortiz and Oscar De La Hoya promising to promote the fight in a new MMA venture for the boxing legend and promotional kingpin. Recentemente, after our broadcast Thursday night, Tito and Chuck moved much closer to that trilogy fight with Tito announcing he is coming out of retirement for the bout.
