“I came out with a victory, it can’t get better than that,” Hernandez said after the fight. “I put him down a few times. I was happy with my performance. I was trying to get out of her to celebrate with my family and friends.

“I didn’t expect him to keep coming, getting up and still coming forward. I’ll talk to my promoter and coaches and see what’s next.”

“Ce combat sera proche de l'endroit où vit Nico. Nico se connecte vraiment aux enfants dans la communauté, parlant souvent dans les écoles locales, ce qui est l'occasion idéale pour les parents d'amener leurs enfants à le regarder se battre sur une nuit de week-end.
“Nous appelons ce spectacle, 'Tir rapide,’ principalement en raison du style excitant de Nico, tir combinaisons nettes en succession rapide, en plus de son niveau d'activité, comme il revient le droit de se battre si vite.”

Je lui dis de boîte et d'être lui-même. Il est toujours bien conditionné pour qu'il puisse aller sans problème tours. Je veux qu'il soit rapide et insaisissable pour enlever ses adversaires’ corps et, dans les tours plus tard, revenir à la boxe. Il a combattu à 115 livres, mais il sera de retour à 112 pour ce combat. Nico était forte à 115 et il sera très fort à poids mouche.”
Un natif de 29 ans du Mexique qui se bat sur Markesan, Wisconsin, Rodriguez (2-0, 2 KOs) a deux premier tour KO dans une paire de combats professionnels. Un autre combattant se serait frappé en deux rounds, se battre à la maison devant un chanteur comme s'il l'avait soutenu, mais Nico a montré un équilibre formidable, s'installer et assembler très bien ses coups. Il n'a pas poursuivi Gutierrez, il a effectivement coupé la bague, et sa puissante attaque corporelle était quelque chose qu'il ne faisait pas en amateur. Nous voulions voir comment il réagissait à la résistance et il a réussi ce test avec brio.”
Andersen a noté que son entreprise avait promu plusieurs émissions à succès, notant que la grande différence est que l'émission du week-end dernier mettait en vedette un combattant de classe mondiale à Hernandez. “Faire les Jeux olympiques était un gros problème pour Nico,” Andersen a ajouté, “s'il a médaillé ou non. The large, hometown crowd of more than 3,100 had Hernandez (1-0, 1 KO) pumped to start the fight, in which he quickly established himself as the clear aggressor. The 21-year-old settled down in the second, showing his full arsenal of punches, as he banged Gutierrez’ body and also landed effectively upstairs.
Hernandez cut off the ring in the third, often trapping Gutierrez (0-3) on the ropes, where he unloaded punishing punches that started to take its toll on the gutsy Las Vegas fighter. Hernandez’ dominance continued in the fourth, even as he surprisingly switched from orthodox to southpaw stance, hurting Gutierrez until his corner asked the referee to halt the action.

“It doesn’t get better than this,” a beaming Hernandez said after the fight. “It means so much for me to bring boxing to Wichita, to all of Kansas, for these awesome fans. I started switching up a little because it was worked. I’d like to get back fighting again dans deux mois.
“I wasn’t to thank KO Night Boxing. This was the way I pictured it. As I was waiting in the tunnel, I could hear the crowd chanting my name. This was a great night of boxing. I want to bring more shows here.

“I performance okay,” Williams commented. “The last two rounds I was a little winded but I hadn’t been in the ring for two years. A southpaw known for his non-stop motor, Macias connected with punches thrown from every conceivable angle, leaving Soriano no room to move or time to catch his wind, to win by scores of 80-71, 79-72, 78-73).

“I feel like I could have done better,” Macias admitted. “My opponent came to fight eight rounds and we respect for each other. Je continue à apprendre. Everybody has a game plan until they get hit. I didn’t move like I should have. I thank my opponent for giving me a fight I can learn from.

“It’s a great feeling,” the 21-year-old Hernandez said from training camp. “I am feeling some pressure but, once I’m in the ring, everything goes away.
