LOWELL, Hmota. (Leden 29, 2016) – For the second week in a row all 13 matches went the three-round distance in last night’s Central New England (větší Lowell) semifinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, featuring open and novice class action, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Returning New England welterweight champion Xavier Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing in Lawrence (MA), byl 4-1 winner against Michael Fontenez, of Nashua, NH.
Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston led the hit parade with three winners, all in the novice class: lehká váha Jonathan Depina, welterweight Lipi Fernandes a middleweight Brian Lawrence. The Lowell West End Gym was the only other with more than one winner last night, both in the open class, lehká váha Brandon Higgins and light welterweight Jeremiah Perez.
The CNE championship finals, featuring open and novice class matches, will be held next Thursday noc (Únor. 4) at Lowell Memorial Auditorium. See the remaining 2016 schedule below as well as last night’s results.
