A native of Las Cruces, N. M., Nicco trains in the Tapia home garage, enjoys studying sociology to “look at people from a different perspective,” dislikes mathematics, and currently has no plans to further an academic career following his 2023 graduation.

“I don’t really plan to go to college,” said the music fan who freestyle raps in his downtime. “I want to keep pushing myself in the ring and turn pro as soon as I get enough experience.”

Surrounded by the sweet science from an early age, Nicco fondly looks back on innumerable heartwarming memories of watching his father train for upcoming fights.

“I used to go to the gym and run around with my Dad every day. When the bell rang, I held up the gloves with him.”

Outside of boxing, the father-son pairing spent quality time playing other sports, enjoying delicious desserts, and tuning into their favorite television programs.

“We used to go to the park, play basketball, and jump on the trampoline,” Nicco recalled. “Dad used to give me ice cream sandwiches. I remember going into his room and watching the show ‘Cops’ together.”

Aiming to find inspiration and discover boxing tips from one of boxing’s all-time greatest fighters, young Nicco frequently rewatches Johnny’s classic bouts.

“I study his speed, head movement, and angles,” said the teenager who models much of his fighting style after his Dad and Marvelous Marvin Hagler.

When asked to name his favorite “Mi Vida Loca” fight, Nicco did not hesitate in listing Johnny Tapia’s hard-fought victory over fellow Albuquerquean and former world champion Danny Romero for the IBF/WBO junior bantamweight titles on July 18, 1997, v Las Vegas, Nevada.

“The crowd was wild and crazy,” Nicco recollected. “I love studying my Dad’s boxing technique.”

Originally scheduled to fight at Inn of the Mountain Gods on July 31, 2021, the aspiring actor and former viola player pulled out of his amateur debut when he sustained a hand fracture.

“I was playing football with friends and landed on my hand wrong,” lamented the proud holder of a driver’s license. “It was the first time I injured myself.”

Less than four months later, Nicco is eager to thrill the Mescalero crowd on Nov. 20 before Barrera and De Leon take center stage.

“I am ticking off the days and can’t wait for this night to come.”

“It was summer, and we picked cantaloupes in the hot sun all day,” said the multi-faceted student who is currently taking psychology classes at Odessa College. “That was the year I first won Nationals. I still trained while working in the fields. It was the best and the worst.”

Recalling the arduous memories when he did not know where he would sleep or locate his next meal, the Native American history fan finds solace in giving back to the El Paso community during the holiday season.

“I love to help out at shelters because I have been in that situation where I needed food and a place to stay,” said Santa’s helper who also hands out gifts at west Texas hospitals each December. “It makes me feel good to see the children smile.”

Hoping to battle for a world crown within the next year, the never-married Mendoza counsels the wedded on social media when not honing his skills in the squared circle.

“I go on Instagram Live because people ask me for marriage advice. A lot of people need help.”

NEW YORK (Červenec 28, 2020) – Surging middleweight contender Christopher Pearson is ready for a breakthrough performance against any of the top names at 160 nebo 168 divisions.

Pearson of Trotwood, Ohio, is managed by Split-T Management, and he recently moved to San Antonio, Texas, má rekord 17-2, and is riding a three-fight winning streak which includes a win over former Olympic Bronze Medal winner and undefeated Yamaguchi Falcao.

Pearson, who trains in Los Angeles under world-championship trainer Manny Robles, has already begun preparations for his next assignment.

“I started training down here in San Antonio at Jesse James Leija’s gym. I just moved down here, and it took a minute to find a gym, but once the gym opened, this is a great place to be. I will go to Los Angeles on July 30th and start with Manny,” řekl Pearson.

“I took that fight on four weeks notice. I am not short on confidence, and I know what I am capable of doing.

Recently Pearson had his named mentioned for a showdown with Canelo Alvarez, and he believes that Canelo’s handlers were not too keen in a fight with the 29 year-old Pearson.

“I know that I am one of four or five guys from Golden Boy Promotions that was offered that fight. Out of all of those guys, they must of looked at me as a high-risk, low-reward fight. Fighting me is dangerous. They know me, because I have sparred with him, and he knows what I am capable of.”

“Canelo is a counter-puncher, but he is not better then me in the department. He has more power, but he is not as capable as me. Jakmile se dostaneme do ringu, anything can happen..especially at 168 liber.”

“Another fight that I would like to get is with Jaime Munguia. He is at 160 pounds now. I can outclass him. I don’t see anything special about him. Los Angeles, JAKO. (Listopad 8, 2018) – V době, kdy boxu v těžké váze je opět horké divize. Otázkou je stále požádán, kdo bude, že v příštím Mike Tyson jako vyřazovací umělce? Nebo má sporty jako fotbal a basketbal sejmuty nejlepší velcí muži od boxu?

vstoupit James “Beast” Wilson.

Wilson má všechny atributy výše uvedených vlastností. Úžasný sportovec, který byl v NFL soustředění s pozadím v boji, který zobrazuje divoký elektráren.

Wilson, který právě podepsal s Golden Boy Promotions, má rekord 8-0 se sedmi knockouts, ale jeho příběh začíná v průběhu 20 před lety v ulicích Los Angeles.

Wilson se prochází těžkým obdobím a byl bez domova ve věku mezi 13 a 15, kde spal v motelech, parkové lavičky, a sprchování v těchto parcích. Wilson měl seškrábat se zákonem, a to změnilo jeho život….pro lepší.

Wilson se stal Los Angeles Times High School Fotbalista roku, stejně jako trojnásobný all-město sledovat & atlet pole, což mu vyneslo stipendium na Concord univerzity v Západní Virginii.

Wilson, který absolvoval s mírou v sociologii, pak pokračoval hrát profesionální fotbal ve všech místech, Polsko.

Po tom získal soustředění pozvat s Chicago Bears. Nicméně se rozhodl následovat další sportovní vášeň.

“Začal jsem dělat Kenpo-Karate, Muay-Thai a kickbox.” Wilson měl profesionální Kickboxing rekord 16-2-1 kde závodil ve špičkových organizací, jako je K-1 a Glory.

Potom, Wilson se pokusil svou ruku na MMA a nasbíral impozantní 5-2 záznam a bojoval za vysoce ceněné mistrovství Bellator Boj.

Stále není spokojen, Wilson začal boxovat.

Wilson opět cestoval po celém světě a začal děrování pro odměňování kariéru na Novém Zélandu.

“Věděl jsem, že promotor na Novém Zélandu, a byl jsem schopen bojovat tam každý týden. Že zrychlil svůj proces a rozvoj. Vrátil jsem se do Los Angeles, a byl schopný dostat další čtyři vítězství.”

Na 7-0, Wilson se poté setkal dlouholetý boxu průmysl hráč, Jared Shaw.

Shaw viděl videa Wilsonem na jeho účet Instagram, a natáhl do neporažený heavyweight.

“Jared mě kontaktoval, a setkal se v tělocvičně, a měl stejnou vizi pro mě, že jsem měl, a zbytek je historie.”

“Viděl jsem Jamese jako diamant,” Said Shaw. “Má kombinace a rychlost a sílu, které nejsou vidět v těžké váze. Má že “to” faktorem, který jsem viděl, s Kimbo Slice. Co se mi líbí nejvíce o této párování je Justin byl kratší heavyweight jakož, ale silný puncher. Jeho zkušenost je to, co se děje na pomoc James zrychlit svůj růst ve sportu. Jako tým, Máme za cíl přinést mistrovství světa zpátky do Los Angeles, aby včas,” pokračování Shaw.

Shawa Dalším krokem bylo najít tu správnou promotor pro Wilson podepsat s, a duo našel jednou z největších společností na světě, který se zajímal.

“Hodně promotérů se na mě dívají. Setkal jsem se s Golden Boy, a viděli mou talent a vizi, a mám pocit, že se to stalo pro mě, a vzít mě do těžké váze mistrovství světa,” řekl Wilson.

Shaw pochvaloval manželství mezi bojovníkem a promotor.

Wilson mluví hodně mladíků asi proti šikaně. “Já hodně mluvit a seminářů pro boj proti šikaně. Jdu do mnoha škol a dětských domovů a říct jim svůj příběh. Myslím, že může být někdo, pro děti vzhlížet a dejte jim vědět, že mají budoucnost navzdory bez ohledu na okolnost, že jsou v. Řeknu dětem, že vaše ruce jsou zbraně, ústa je zbraň, a jediné místo pro boj je uvnitř kruhu.”

Když byl dotázán, kdo chce bojovat a jaké jsou jeho cíle jsou v tomto sportu, Wilson, “Nejsem snaží bojovat proti každému jednotlivci zvlášť, Dívám se na boj se všemi z nich. A co je nejdůležitější, Jsem zde, aby fanouškům něco se dívat. to je 365 dny “Bestie” sezóna. Je Beast Mode nebo ne Mode.”

New York City (Listopad 7, 2018): Golden Boy Promotions and FITE announced today that the third encounter of UFC Hall of Famers Tito Ortiz (19-12-1 MMA) and Chuck Liddell (21-8 MMA), taking place on Saturday Nov 24th at The “Fabulous” Forum in Inglewood, Calif., will stream live around the world on the FITE digital streaming network as part of the partnership deal with Golden Boy Promotions. Bell time for the PPV broadcast is 9:00pm ET / 6:00pm PT.

FITE will stream the trilogy fight on its platform, live on digital pay per view to a worldwide audience of viewers. Pre-orders are available now on the www.FITE.TV website, FITE mobile apps for iOS, Android, and the FITE channel on Amazon Fire, Android, Apple TV, and Roku on a PPV basis.

Two of the most recognizable names in UFC and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) historie, Liddell and Ortiz enter the cage on Thanksgiving weekend in what’s expected to be a throwback fight to the golden age of MMA. The fight takes place under Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions banner.

The resumes of Liddell and Ortiz speak for themselves as both fought the most important fighters of their era. The two first fought in the UFC cage in 2004 after months of trash talk in which Liddell said he always dominated Ortiz in sparring during their past training sessions together. Liddell won the fight in spectacular fashion via KO, but the grudge was far from over. V 2006 the two faced off again with Ortiz vowing he would even the score. Ortiz fared much better in the second encounter but again succumbed to Liddell via referee stoppage TKO.

Tito Ortiz returns to the cage after a submission win over Chael Sonnen back in January 2017 to fight for redemption against his longtime rival Chuck Liddell. Liddell, coming out of retirement, is fighting to make it a perfect 3-0 over the “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” and to close the door on a feud that has spanned more than a decade. With a rivalry this intense and emotions still running high, this trilogy fight has fighters and fans from multiple generations excited to see the final chapter of one of the biggest rivalries of all time!
