NEW YORK (November 11, 2019) – The 33rd annual Ring 8 Holiday Event and Awards Ceremony will be held Sunday afternoon (12:30-5:30 p.m. EN), December 8, bij Russo's On The Bay in Howard Beach, New York.

Ring 8 heeft aangekondigd 2019 prijswinnaars (zie volledige lijst hieronder), headlined by Fighter of the Decade Amanda “Real Deal” Serrano (37-1-1, 27 KO), of Brooklyn by way of Puerto Rico; ongeslagen zwaargewicht mededinger (Fighter van het Jaar) Adam “Babyface” Kownacki (20-0, 15 KO), of Brooklyn by way of Poland; Legend Award winners three-time, three division world champion Iran “The Blade” Barkley (43-19,1 27 KO), van Bronx, and two-time, two-division world champion Junior “Poison” Jones (50-6, 28 KO), van Brooklyn; and two-time world heavyweight champion “Terrible” Tim Witherspoon (55-13-1, 28 KO), van Philadelphia, the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award winner.

Atlantic City, N.J. – November 19, 2018 – The Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame (ACBHOF) heeft aangekondigd 2019 Inductie klasse. The Induction Weekend will take place at The Claridge, een Radisson Hotel gelegen aan Park Place & Promenade in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 21 – 23, 2019.
“We’re extremely excited about the Class of 2019 and are very much looking forward to paying tribute to the new inductees in Atlantic City at our 3rd annual induction weekend next June” said ACBHOF President and Founder Ray McCline.

Bernard Hopkins will be inducted into his first Hall of Fame as part of the third annual class that will include a total of 19 inductees.
“I feel appreciated and it’s starting to settle in that I’m near that mark of living legend. I don’t see myself as a living legend. Let other people decide that. This is a great honor and I’m grateful for the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame for making this happen,” Hopkins said in a November 16 RingTV interview with Joseph Santoliquito.
“Watch who you co-sign for; you can’t sell me black to get in the door. You can’t sell me white to get in the door. You can’t sell me half white or half black or none of that to get in the door. But you can sell me LOYALTY” said former two-division champion Bernard Hopkins.
The 3rd Annual Induction Ceremony & Celebration Weekend will honor some of the world’s most iconic figures from the sport of boxing: Butch Lewis, Nigel Collins, Engels “Bouie” Fisher and New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame’s President Henry Hascup are just a few named who will be enshrined with the 2019 inductieles.
Inductees will be named in three categories: Fighter, Trainer & Cut-Men and Special Contributors.
“It was a great honor to hear I was going to be inducted into Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame. Atlantic City is my second home, and as a pro fighter I’ve fought numerous times in this great city. It’s a great boxing town and it is an honor to be inducted into the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame” zegt Micky Ward.

NEW YORK (December 11, 2017) – Less than 24 hours after he defeated previously undefeated Guillermo Rigondeaux, WBO Junior Lightweight World Champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Vasyl “Hi Tech” Lomachenko attended yesterday’s (Zondag, December. 9) 31st jaarlijkse Ring 8 Holiday Event and Awards Ceremony to accept the Ring 8 2017 Muhammad Ali International Fighter of the Year Award.
The gala event was held Russo’s On The Bay in Howard Beach, New York, en David Diamante once again served as the event’s Master of Ceremonies.
Six world champions were in attendance, including three award winners: Lomachenko), International Hall-of-Famer Michael Spinks (Historical Award), and five-time world champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (New York State Female Fighter of the Year); World champions Vito Antuofermo, Iran Barkley en Luis Collazo showed their support.
“Our awards banquet was one of the best ever,” Ring 8 president Jack Hirsch zei. “We are deeply honored that Vasyl Lomachenko attended the day after the biggest fight of his career. His presence created an electric atmosphere, the type that is rarely seen. The other honorees, led by Michael Spinks, made it an afternoon that will always be remembered.”

NEW YORK (December 5, 2017) – Limited tickets are still available for this Sunday afternoon’s 31st jaarlijkse Ring 8 Holiday Event en prijsuitreiking, tussen 12:30 en 5:30 p.m. EN, bij Russo's On The Bay in Howard Beach, New York.
Six world champions will be attending, including three award winners: WBO Junior Lightweight World Champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Vasyl “Hi Tech” Lomachenko (Muhammad Ali International Fighter of the Year), Hall-of-Famer Michael Spinks (Historical Award), and five-time world champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (New York State Female Fighter of the Year).
Another Hall-of Fame star, Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield, is unable to attend the festivities because of a travel conflict but he did receive his Legends Award at the last Ring 8 vergadering.
World champions Vito Antuofermo, Iran Barkley en Luis Collazo are cdenfirmed special guests.
Other 2017 Ring 8 award winners include two-time Irish Olympian Michael Conlan (International Prospect of the Year Award), 2012 U.S. Olympiër “Mijnheer” Marcus Browne(New York State Fighter of the Year), van Staten Island.
“The anticipation is continuing to grow as we move closer to the Ring 8 awards banquetop zondag,” Ring 8 president Jack Hirsch zei. “We are honored that Vasyl Lomachenko and Michael Conlan will be attending despite having fought at Madison Square Garden the night before. Many consider Lomachenko the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, and Conlan the best prospect. I am proud to officially announce my 6th Official Amateur Boxing Reunion that will take place on March 18 at Monique’s Lounge in Harlem, New York. I am expecting by far the largest turn out of any of the previous 5 reunions which were held twice at Rival Boxing in Las Vegas, once at Jimmy’s Corner in Manhattan and once each at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casinos.
Of the over 100 boxers attending this far, among them I expect the likes of 1988 Olympisch zilveren medaillewinnaar Riddick Big Daddy Bowe, NYC Golden Gloves Champ “Poison” Junior Jones, 1984 Olympic champ Mark Breland, 1974 National Junior Olympic champ Marlon Starling, 1996 USA Olympic team captain Lawrence Klei-Bey en 1988 Nationaal kampioen gouden handschoenen Mark “Ook Sharp” Johnson.
At my past reunions, including the most recent one held at the Rival Boxing Store in Las Vegas on November 18, we’ve had the likes of Roy Jones Jr., Alex “The Bronx Bomber” Ramos, 1992 Olympian Montell Griffin, former three time world champions Mike McCallum and Iran Barkley, en “The Fighter” and Irish Micky Ward in attendance.
Among the most special of moments at my reunions, we had Mike McCallum and Alex Ramos, who met each other in the semi-finals of the 1980 NYC Golden Gloves, reconnect in Las Vegas in late 2014, we had Luis Ortiz and Lawrence Clay-Bey, who were brought together in 2015 at Foxwoods after not only not seeing each other in 38 YEARS but after not even knowing they fought against each other in 1977 until just a few days before they reunited and in NYC over the summer of 2015 wij hadden 1984 New York City Golden Gloves 156 pound champion and runner up Dennis “De goochelaar” Milton and Jesse Lanton connect once again.
Any media who wish to attend the event in Harlem, New York on March 18 are more than welcome to be a part of the festivities.

NEW YORK (Oktober 17, 2015) – De 30th jaarlijkse Ring 8 Holiday Event en prijsuitreiking zal worden gehouden Zondag middag (12:30-5:30 p.m. EN),December 11, bij Russo's On The Bay in Howard Beach, New York.
Ring 8 heeft aangekondigd 2016 prijswinnaars (zie volledige lijst hieronder), inclusief Hall-of-Famer Barry McGuigan (International Fighter Achievement), regerend wereldkampioen Carl Frampton (Internationale jager van het jaar) en Danny Jacobs (New York State Fighter of the Year),Joe Smith, Jr. (Knock-out van het Jaar), en 2016 Olympisch zilveren medaillewinnaar Shakur Stevenson (Service aan “Jouw land” Prijs).
“Onze leden kijken ernaar uit om dit evenement elk jaar,” Ring 8 president Bob Duffy zei. “We hebben weer een geweldige groep prijswinnaars. NEW YORK, NY (November 30, 2015) – Vijfvoudig, twee-divisie wereldkampioen Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley zal aanwezig zijn op de 29th jaarlijkse Ring 8 Holiday Event en prijsuitreiking, Zondag middag (12:30-5:30 p.m. EN), December 13, bij Russo's On The Bay in Howard Beach, New York. Bradley will receive his award as the 2015 Ring 8 Fighter van het Jaar.
Randy Gordon will serve as the event’s Master of Ceremonies. Other 2015 Ring 8 prijswinnaars (zie volledige lijst hieronder) onder andere voormalig New York State Athletic Commission voorzitter Melvina Lathan (Vrouw van het decennium), ongeslagen Geen. 1 wereld weltergewicht mededinger Poort “Wereld Kid” Zijn (NY Fighter van het Jaar), Heather Hardy(Door vrouwelijke Fighter van het Jaar), “Ierland” John Duddy (Ongekroonde kampioen), Andre Rozier (Trainer van het Jaar) en Joe DeGuardia (Promotor van het Jaar).
De 32-jarige Bradley, uitvechten van Palm Springs, Californië, is een twee-tijd en regerend World Boxing Organization (WBO weltergewicht kampioen, naast het feit dat een drie keer wereldkampioen licht weltergewicht titlist.
