Bethlehem, PA (November 17, 2017) – Frank De Alba is ready to close out 2017 with a bang when he takes on Ivan Najera (17-3, 8 KOs) in the ten-round super featherwight bout Dienstag Nacht. 21. November bei The Sands Bethlehem Event Center inBethlehem, PA.

“Alles ist gut. I put in a hard eight-week camp,” Said De Alba.
De Alba and Najera were originally supposed to get together earlier this year, but Najera had to pull out.
I am excited to be able to finally get in the ring with him. We were supposed to fight in June. He pulled out at the last minute and that made me angry, because I trained hard for a full camp, but now I finally get my opportunity to fight him.
A win over Najera and a 6th straight win will De Alba should facilitate big opportunities for De Alba in 2018.
A win over him will have me on top and on my way. It will set me up for a big opportunity in 2018. Hopefully a win will get me a shot at one of those major regional titles and then eventually a world title. I just hope everyone comes out and support this show am Dienstag. Everyone knows when a Puerto Rican fighter and a Mexican fighter get together, the fight usually produces fireworks and Tuesday night should be no different.

Roy Jones – Bobby Gunn Press Conference quotes

Skill vs. Wille”

LIVE AUF PAY-PER-VIEW–FRIDAY FEBRUARY 17TH
Wilmington, DE (Februar 16, 2017)Below are quotes from Wednesday’s press conference in advance of Friday night’sSkill vs. Wille” Pay-Per-View showdown between Roy, Jones, Jr. and Bobby Gunn.
Roy Jones Jr.
On Bobby Gunn as an opponent:
The thing I stand for and respect and representI love a person who won’t quit, und [Bobby Gunn] won’t quit for nothing. Er hat 72 gewinnt mit 72 Knockouts – bare-knuckleyou’re really a professional bully! You just beat people up for the hell of itIt’s what I love. People ask why I’m so motivated to fight Bobby Gunnit’s because what I stand for in boxing, he is in bare-knuckle. I respect that.
On the opportunity to be in the ring on Friday:
We are getting an opportunity to share the ring, and entertain the people while we share the ring, and I am at-heart an entertainer. And this man is a killer. I’m not saying that this man is not a killer, it’s just that I trust in my abilities to go out and do things differently because that’s who I am.
On his conditioning:
I am in very good shape for the first time in four or five years. I feel better than I have felt in a long time. I know I have my hands full, and I know my hands are ready for battle. I know this man is coming to bring it. But that’s what we live for; that’s what we love. Come Friday night be ready for a very entertaining fight.
Bobby Gunn

On Roy Jones Jr. as an opponent:
I’m born and bred a fighting man, since birth. I’m fighting one of the greatest fighters who ever lived. I’ve seen a lot of horsesh!t on the Internet, people running him down. Saying he’s too old, this or that. Why don’t you guys get in the ring and fight him, dann? Let me tell you something right nowI respect him more today than [the fighter he was] 20 vor jahren. Because he’s more dangerous, he’s cagey, he’s a veteran. There’s nothing you can do to him he hasn’t seen.
On his mental and physical condition coming into the fight:
I’m coming here to fight my guts out. I’m in good shape. I’ve been training hard for this one for a long timethis man’s been in my head a long time. I go to sleep with Roy, and I wake up with Roy. He’s part of my family, we’re sick of talking about Roy. I can’t wait to see him Friday night and get it over with! I’m coming here to fight.
On critics of the matchup:
In a few days here, me and Roy are going to battle. We’re doing to prove a lot of critics wrong, a lot of doubters. When that bell rings, it’s only me and him in there. Um ehrlich zu sein,, critics mean zero. Their opinions mean nothing… [Roy Jones Jr.] said he’d come and fight me, and he’s here. He has the heart of the lion. But we’re going to get it down. I’ll shake your hand today, but I’ll tell you [to Jones Jr.] we’re in for a good fight, both of us. Roy Jones won’t forget my name for the rest of his life.

Fighting in front of my home people means more to me than anything. It shows them that I represent their culture and they like to see my fighting style. It was a dream come true to fight in front of so many of my people. They were cheering my name, and for that I am thankful for them.

Hier ist, was die Kämpfer zu sagen hatte Dienstag:
OMAR DOUGLAS
“Ich fühle mich großartig. I got some great rounds. The judges might have made it a little bit closer than it really was. But I went into his hometown and did what I do.
He was about as tough as my last fight. The only thing tougher than the last one was that I had to come here on the road and do it.
This builds me. It makes me a better fighter. I had a great opportunity tonight and I jumped on it. I feel like I’m the better fighter and tonight I proved it.
FRANK DEALBA
It was a very competitive fight. I think I landed more punches. He was more aggressive, but I was landing more.
This is boxing. I just come here to put on a show for the great fans. Ich dachte, ich gewann den Kampf. I knew I beat him inside.
MIGUEL CRUZ
“Es war ein großer Kampf, he was a tough opponent who was very agile and mobile. I had to be patient and it was great to get those rounds. I’m coming for the 147-pound division.
I was definitely trying to break him down slowly. He was mobile, but I didn’t expect him to be so quick.
I was hurting him every time I hit him and I finally got him out of there.
VIRGIL GREEN
The hits to the back of the head were the problem. I wanted the ref to do something about it but that’s what hurt me. I never recovered from it.
I felt like I was frustrating him and out-boxing him. But I never recovered from that blow.
CHRISTOPHER BROOKER
“Es war ein guter Kampf. Er ist ein guter Boxer, but I had to keep it rough. He has some good experience that kicked in, but my will, my heart and my training kicked in too.
My loss is what got me motivated for this performance. No more setbacks, only get backs.
LEO HALL
I tried to work, We were working in there. I wasn’t surprised by anything. Es war ein guter Kampf.
I pushed myself. We got in there and fought. Es gibt keine Ausreden. We’re going back to work.
