Over Michael Spinks

Tijdens de middengewichttitelwedstrijd van afgelopen weekend tussen Canelo Alvarez en Daniel Jacobs vond ook de jaarlijkse Box Fan Expo plaats, gehouden in het Las Vegas Convention Center. De geweldige memorabilia die werden tentoongesteld en de live amateurboksactie vormden een aanvulling op een reeks voormalige en huidige wereldkampioenenvechters die beschikbaar zijn voor snelle meet & greets.

Als een levenslange boksfan, het was jammer dat ik maar iets meer dan twee uur te besteden had aan het evenement voordat ik terugging naar de T-Mobile Arena voor de start van de undercard-wedstrijden. The crowd will be wild with anticipation going into the 8th ronde, sensing the Alvarez might be closing in on victory. Jacobs will use lateral movement while he clears his head, probing with his jab to keep Alvarez at bay. Alvarez will continue to look for the homerun punch, but Jacobs will stay out of range for the duration.

Las Vegas (Juli 3, 2018) – Three Time World Champion Jessie Vargas has confirmed that he will appear and hold a Meet & Greet with his fans at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the fourth Annual Box Fan Expo op Zaterdag september 15, 2018 uit 10 AM TO 5 PM, during Mexican Independence weekend. Erik Morales Nicknamed “De Verschrikkelijke,” is a retired Mexican boxing legend and is being inducted into the International Boxing Hall of fame in Canastota on June 10th, 2018).Morales compiled a 52-9 opnemen in 61 gevechten, inclusief 41 straight wins to start his career, and won world titles in four different weight classes (junior featherweight, vedergewicht, junior lichtgewicht, junior weltergewicht). He also ended Manny Pacquiao’s six-year unbeaten streak in 2005 with a unanimous decision win.

 

 

 

Morales notable fights came against Marco Antonio Barrera (nicknamed “De Baby Face Assassin”). The Morales versus Barrera trilogy is one of Boxing’s most famous fight trilogies of all time, involving two of Mexico’s most revered boxers. Las Vegas (Maart 21, 2018) – Current WBC Super middleweight champion David Benavidez and former WBA lightweight Champion José Benavidez have confirmed that they will appear, have a booth, and hold a Meet & Greet with their fans at the Las Vegas Convention Center voor de 4th edition of Box Fan Expo dat zal plaatsvinden Zaterdag mei 5, 2018 uit 10am to 5pm, during Cinco De Mayo fight weekend.
Team Benavidez, David and José will appear for the first time at this year’s Expo, where they will be signing gloves, photos and have merchandise for fans to enjoy. Boxing fans will also have a great opportunity to take pictures with these two brothers and rising boxing stars. Fans will also have an opportunity to meet their father and one of the best trainers in boxing, José Benavidez sr.
About David Benavidez
David Benavidez is a Mexican-American professional boxer. He has held the WBC Super middleweight title since September 8, 2017 by defeating Ronald Gavril in Las Vegas. David also became the youngest champion in Super middleweight history at the age of 20. He is trained by his Father José Benavidez sr., and he’s also the brother of former world lightweight WBA champion and current top welterweight champion José Benavidez.
About José Benavidez
José Luis Benavidez is a Mexican-American professional boxer and the former WBA lightweight champion. He is currently undefeated with a record of 25 wins and presently competing at the welterweight division. He is the son of boxing trainer José Benavidez Sr. of Arcelia, Krijger, Mexico, and the Brother of current WBC Super Middleweight Champion David Benavidez. In the late summer of 2016, José was shot in the leg by an unknown assailant while walking his dog in Arizona. The severity of the injuries sustained to his leg left doubt on his professional career. But José was determined to come back stronger than ever. After a rigorous 2 years of rehabilitation of hard work at the gym, José is back and presently a top contender in the Welterweight division.
David and José will join, Zab Judah, Shannon Briggs, Badou Jack, Kelly Pavlik, Erik Morales and Fernando Vargas among early commitments to this year’s Box Fan Expo.
