Une table ronde médiatique mettant en vedette des grands poids lourds Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Riddick Bowe, Gerry Cooney, Earnie Shavers, Buster Douglas et Michael Spinks alors qu'ils ont mis fin à la bataille de samedi contre des géants invaincus.

JARRETT HURD
“Everything that my team and I have spoken about has come to pass. I’m here as the co-main of a massive card and I’m just really appreciative of everyone who believed in me and helped push me to this moment.
“Saturday night I want to show my versatility. Everyone has seen that I’m electrifying. I bring the action. But I want to show that I am swift and I do have defense. I know how to use my height and range. I’m still going to bring the action on Saturday, so you have to make sure to tune-in.
“We don’t think of Welborn as a tune-up fight. Jason Welborn is a British champion for a reason. We just want to go out there and establish the game plan we worked on in camp.
“I want to show my defensive side and show that I can box and move. I want to show that I don’t have to just keep coming forward. I’m going to be able to do that and start to break him down and get him out of there.
“Everybody sees my demeanor, and they know that I carry that to the ring. My composure is my biggest attribute. Peu importe ce qu'on dit, I’m always going to be me.

“I’m coming to do my job. This is a heavyweight fight and we know that means one punch can change everything. It’s not going to end well for Travis on Saturday night.

“Although Wilder’s punch is strong, nothing can compare to the mental strength Fury has shown both in and out of the ring. It’ll be a close call, but I think Fury’s got a true fighting chance.”

 

EVANDER HOLYFIELD:

COLORADO SPRINGS, Tour. (Novembre 19, 2018) – La fin Emanuel Steward, sans doute le plus grand entraîneur de boxe de tous les temps, est membre de la classe des 2018 être intronisé au Temple de la renommée de l'Association des anciens de boxe américaine.

 

 

 

La deuxième annuelle de l'Association des anciens Etats-Unis de boxe Hall of Fame réception, tenue conjointement avec le 2018 USA Boxing Elite et Championnats nationaux de la jeunesse et junior et préparation ouverte, Décembre 2-8, aura lieu Décembre 7, à l'Hôtel Radisson (215 S. Temple Saint) à Salt Lake City, Utah.

 

 

 

 

Steward était un boxeur, trainer extraordinaire, et commentateur de HBO jusqu'à sa mort prématurée en 2012 à l'âge de 68. Sa carrière de boxeur a culminé avec son intronisation au Temple de la renommée de la boxe internationale en 1996.

 

 

 

À l'âge de 12, Manny a déménagé avec sa mère de Virginie-Occidentale à Detroit, où sa vie s'est vite transformée en boxe. Comme un boxeur amateur, il a compilé un 94-3 record, mis en évidence par une performance médaille d'or à la 1963 Tournoi national des Golden Gloves en tant que poids coq, mais il a décidé de ne pas essayer pour l'équipe olympique américaine de boxe.

Personne d'autre ne m'a jamais donné cette reconnaissance. Il était humble et pas un blowhard, mon genre de gars.”

 

 

 

Emanuel Steward a laissé sa marque sur terre, non seulement en tant que personnalité aux multiples facettes dans la boxe, mais on se souvient aussi de lui pour son travail de charité magnanime à Detroit, dans lequel il a aidé les jeunes à poursuivre leurs études.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Tour. (Août 6, 2018) – La USA Boxing Alumni Association a annoncé que sa deuxième promotion sera intronisée dans son Hall of Fame, Décembre 7, à l'Hôtel Radisson (215 S. Temple Saint) à Salk Lake City, Utah.

 

 

 

La réception est organisée conjointement avec le 2018 USA Boxing Elite et Championnats nationaux de la jeunesse et junior et préparation ouverte, Décembre. 2-8, également tenu à Salt Lake City.

 

 

 

La classe de 2018 comprend les États-Unis. Médaillés par équipe olympique et monde (professionnel) champions Roy Jones, Jr., Andre Ward et Claressa Shields, ainsi que l'ancien directeur national des entraîneurs de boxe américaine Emanuel Steward et vétéran officiel de boxe américaine Tom Cleary. Les deux derniers seront intronisés à titre posthume.

Webster décide de Riojas à Atlantic City remportée par Seldon, Ajamu, Wikins et Manzueta

Atlantic City, New Jersey (Juin 1, 2018)–Super- Derrick Webster s'est frayé un chemin vers une décision unanime de 10 rounds contre Oscar Riojas dans l'événement principal d'une carte de cinq matchs à Le Claridge Hôtel.

Avec la victoire, Webster a remporté le titre des super-moyens des Américains continentaux de la Fédération américaine de boxe.

Isiah Seldon a marqué deux renversements en route vers une décision unanime en six rounds contre Lamar Harris dans un combat de super-moyens.

 

 

 

Dans la quatrième manche, Seldon a décroché un contre-droit parfait qui a envoyé Harris sur le pont. En un tour de cinq, c'était un autre droit qui fou Harris’ le gant touche la toile une deuxième fois.

Anthony “Jus” Young signs with Real Deal Entertainment

Young to take on Enver Halili ce samedi night at Boardwalk Hall

Atlantic City, New Jersey (Mai 29, 2018) – Boxing manager Rich Masini announced that welterweight Anthony “Jus” Young has signed a promotional contract with Real Deal Entertainment.

 

 

 

Jeune (18-2, 6 KOs) of Atlantic City will make his debut under the Real Deal Entertainment banner when he takes on this Saturday night when he takes on Enver Halili (10-1, 3 KOs) in a scheduled eight-round bout at Boardwalk Hall in his hometown of Atlantic City.

 

 

 

“I am happy to join Real Deal Boxing. They are an up-and-coming promotion,” dit le jeune.

 

 

 

In Halili, Young will be fighting the brother of a former opponent who defeated Young for one of his two defeats.

(Mai 15, 2018):–The eyes of the boxing world will once again be on Atlantic City when Evander Holyfield’s The Real Deal Boxing makes it’s Atlantic City debut on Samedi, June 2nd au Adrian Phillips Theater à l'intérieur Boardwalk hall as part of the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame Weekend.

The Liberian born southpaw, now based out of Providence, Rhode Island is set to take on Mexico’s Emmanuel Dominguez (22-6-2, 14 KOs) in what promises to be an action-packed high stakes fight for the NABA Featherweight Title.

 

 

 

In preparation for the title shot, Clary is currently on the west coast working with Hall of Fame trainer, Freddie Roach at The Wildcard Boxing Gym in Hollywood.

 

 

 

“This has been a long, dur camp d'entraînement. I’ve been pushing myself ten times harder than usual with no distractions other than missing my family.”, explains Clary. “All I do out here is concentrate on boxing. I have a great support team, starting with a new addition, Freddie Roach.”

 

 

 

Clary has impressed Roach throughout the past few weeks of training as well.

 

 

 

“So far training camp has been great,” insists Roach, the 7-time winner of BWAA Trainer of the Year award. “I’m continually impressed with Toka’s speed, power and overall skills. JOE MOIS: “J'ai tant de gens à remercier pour cet honneur. Je suis un Buffalonian. Il n'y a personne de plus en faveur d'un New-York, mais ce n'est pas. Cela me est spécial pour parce qu'il est l'État de New York de boxe Hall of Fame. Ce solidifie moi et me rend pense que je ne suis pas seulement un garçon. Il y avait un énorme désavantage venant d'une petite ville, sparring était pas le même que dans les salles de sport de New York, mais j'avais un avantage provenant de Western New York. Personne n'a été Welling dehors comme nous l'avons fait à Buffalo avec 10,000, puis 16,00 et enfin 18,000 personnes. Ils étaient toujours derrière moi et je partager avec eux parce que leur soutien m'a fait. Mon rêve était de se battre à Buffalo et de continuer à se battre là-bas.
“L'un des moments forts de ma vie se battait Monte Barrett sur HBO à Madison Square Garden. Il était l'un des plus grands combattants du monde qui se sont battus pour le titre mondial. J'ai toujours voulu obtenir mon titre mondial tourné, mais je ne l'ai. C'est bon, J'étais peu amer pendant un certain temps, mais je ne pouvais pas être plus heureux de ma carrière. La meilleure partie de la boxe est la part de la fraternité nous.

RON SCOTT STEVENS: “Je sais que les gens disent toujours, mais cela est la vérité: Je dois tant de gens qui me ont soutenu tout au long de ma carrière. La boxe a toujours été à la maison loin de la maison pour moi et aujourd'hui, je sens que je suis à la maison.
“J'étais 30, vivant à Brooklyn Heights, et refoulant un taxi une attente sur les tables. Une lumière a explosé dans ma tête: la boxe est le sport de l'outsider et je suis un outsider. Le lendemain, je suis allé au Gymnase Gleason – le centre de l'univers. Je me dirigeais autour de tous les gymnases de la ville, promoteurs de réunion, gestionnaires et formateurs. J'ai commencé à faire des matchs pour les promoteurs et Cedric Kushner m'a engagé de 1980-2002. En 2002, Je suis un appel à travailler pour le New York State Athletic Commission comme coordonnateur communautaire et directeur de boxe. Puis, Je suis devenu président et j'ai servi deux termes. À L'ÉCOLE: “Je pensais que la boxe était le sport le plus stupide et la plus stupide jamais. Qui voulait se frappé au visage? J'ai commencé la boxe fin. J'ai joué un peu et les gens dit que j'étais assez bon. J'ai commencé la boxe quand j'étais 20, dans l'armée, stationné à Ft. Capuche. Quatre ans plus tard, J'étais sur l'équipe olympique. La raison pour laquelle est que j'ai eu un grand sparring-partner, Ray Mercer. Si je devais être dans le ring tous les jours avec Ray, Je vais soit faire battre, ou mieux.
“Je me souviens Bob Arum me donner sa carte de visite. Je ne le connaissais pas. Je ne connaissais de trois personnes dans la boxe: Don King, Muhammad Ali et Sugar Ray Leonard. Je ne l'ai pas suivi la boxe et la seule raison pour laquelle je mis en boîte-ce que j'aurais dû dormir dans les bois si je ne l'ai pas (dans l'armée). La boxe est: frappe le, avant qu'il ne me frappe.”

PETE BRODSKY: “Je tiens à remercier le conseil d'administration. Je vais être 70 et a commencé la boxe quand j'étais 18. Il a créé une nouvelle direction dans ma vie. Je suis tellement fier d'être en compagnie avec des gars qui ne parlait pas juste, Ils ont adoré. Si vous aimez vraiment ce sport, vous avez vraiment apprendre. Tout homme qui est intervenu dans le ring, ainsi que tous les travaux routiers, temps dans la salle de gym et sacrifier ce qu'ils mangent, at-il d'être le mieux qu'ils peuvent être.
“dans la boxe, vous n'allez gagner chaque combat, mais si un combattant gagne ou perd, s'il donne 100 pour cent, il est un gagnant. Ils travaillent un emploi, courir cinq miles jour, faire du sport au club de gym, puis rentra chez lui pour passer du temps avec sa famille. Les amis et la famille ont toujours le dos.”

MELVINA LATHAM: “Je suis sans voix. C'est merveilleux. Excité (ancien président NYSAC Gordon), rappelez-vous cette histoire? Il n'y avait que trois juges et, malheureusement, un appelé malade. J'étais assis au bord du ring sans responsabilités. Randy dit que je devais travaillerce soir. Je dis que je ne sous licence et ne pouvait pas le faire. Randy a dit, 'Lève ta main droite', et il était. J'ai été jeté là-dedans, mais il était correct.
“Mes plus grandes réalisations sont mes enfants et mari. Je ne pouvais pas demander une meilleure situation. Et Ralph Petrillo fait partie de ma famille; il était mon commandant en second. J'ai aussi eu les meilleurs fonctionnaires: commissaires adjoints, inspecteurs, juges et arbitres. Je ne serais pas ici sans eux. Bob Duffy a mis tout cela ensemble. World featherweight contender Toka Kahn-Clary heads to Hollywood To work with Freddie Roach

PROVIDENCE, RI (Avril 22, 2018) – World-rated featherweight Toka “T Nice” Kahn-Clary(24-1, 17 KOs) has graduated from prospect to world contender. To fully develop, Kahn-Clary recently shifted his training camp from the smallest state in the country, Rhode Island, to the second-largest city in America, Los Angeles, where he has started working with Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach.

 

 

 

Fighting out of Providence (RI), Kahn-Clary made the six-week move to Roach’s famed Wild Card Boxing Club to receive fine tuning from Roach, avoid any potential distractions at home, and have an opportunity for world-class sparring sessions.

 

 

 

 

The chemistry was there right away between Roach and Kahn-Clary. After his first day working with Kahn-Clary, Roach said the following: “Today was a very good day. Toka has great ring-generalship, footwork and speed. I was impressed.”

 

 

 

 

“Freddie is very precise,” Kahn-Clary reported after a few days with New England native Roach. “Sometimes I get a little lazy on the ropes. Ne Pas, ne pas, not with him. I wanted to prove right away that I listen. We were working on the pads and Freddie said, ‘You’re not as dumb as you look.’ I thought that was cool coming from him and took it as a compliment. He’s working on me being in total control in the ring. I’m not really going to learn anything too new from him, but it always helps to add a new move here and there. He saw that I’m fast and work the angles. He’s not changing my style, just sharpening my tools.

 

 

 

 

“When there is sparring, the gym is packed with fighters from 122 pounds up to heavyweight. Not just two or three, but a whole lot of guys, and the competition between everyone is great We’re working on my next opponent. Maintenant, I’m just preparing for my next fight, and then we can focus on my opponent when we know who that will be.”

 

 

 

 

 

Toka-Kahn’s remarkable life story started in his native Liberia, where he knew very little about his real mother as a child, or how many siblings he has in his family. When his father moved to the United States and in 1998, six-year-old Toka Kahn and his younger sister joined him there in Philadelphia.

.

 

 

 

Son père, bien que, was later shot to death, leaving Toka and his sister alone. En 2000, they moved to Providence (RI) to live with a family that, nettement, didn’t really care what happened to them. All signs led to him falling in with the wrong crowd and getting into serious trouble. He was homeless for a while but, fortunately, he found boxing and that became his salvation.

 

 

 

 

Saved the day his friend first took him to Manfredo’s Gym in Pawtucket, RI, when boxing trainer Peter Manfredo, Sr., USA Boxing/New England president Jim Perella et le couple qui a fini par lui adopté, Andrea Watson et Ron Clary, all became key parts of Toka’s dramatically changed life.

 

 

 

 

No matter the weather, including snow and freezing conditions, Toka always rode his bike seven miles each way to the gym from his residence, which didn’t even have electricity. He never told anybody, never complained. Un jour, Andrea told the quiet, private kid in the gym that Christmas was coming, and she had a present for him – an extra bedroom. He was adopted and proudly changed his name to Toka Kahn-Clary.

“I’m excited to see what my friend Freddie is going to do with one of our star fighters,” remarked Kahn-Clary’s promoter, Hall of Famer Evander Holyfield. “Toka is ready for anybody in the 126-pounds division and Freddie is going to bring out the best in him.”

Kahn-Clary recently became a father for the first time, but he understands the sacrifice he’s making for his pro boxing career will payoff sooner rather than alter for his family.

 

 

 

 

“I talk to my daughter every day,” the affable Kahn-Clary concluded. “Thank God for technology. I facetime because she’s five months old and I don’t want her to forget my face. I don’t know how fighters used to go away to camp.”

 

 

 

 

 

The 25-year-old Kahn-Clary is world rated by the International Boxing Federation (#11) and World Boxing Federation (#13).
