Rivera était un vrai champion du monde du travail. Peu de champions du monde ont également eu des emplois à temps plein pendant leur règne de titre. À la fin, bien que, garder mon travail était la meilleure décision que j'aurais pu prendre pour moi et ma famille.
Rivera. qui a été juriste adjoint pendant des années et a été promu l'an dernier au poste de greffier adjoint, est toujours impliqué dans la boxe. Lui et son fils aîné, A.J. A propos de Michael Spinks Spinks est un champion du monde en deux divisions, ayant détenu le titre incontesté des poids lourds légers de 1983 à 1985, et le titre poids lourd linéaire de 1985 à 1988. Robert Duran Jr., son of legendary four division World Champion Roberto Duran, made a successful UK debut on Saturday night, when he fought Nicaragua’s Juan Carlos Santana on the former WBO and IBF Intercontinental Champion Dr Mark Prince OBE’s ‘Jabbing Not Stabbing’ Charity event, to raise funds for the Kiyan Prince Foundation (KPF) www.thekpf.comat the London Irish Centre in Camden, Londres.
Floride, USA based Duran Jr, whose record stood at 3-1-0 prior to his UK trip, joined stars from Professional boxing such as WIBA World Champion and WBC Muay Thai World Champion Denise Castle, British and WBO European Champion Bradley Skeete, WBF International & European Champion Tommy Jacobs and former WBC International Champion Herol Graham and also from Football such as Harry Redknapp and Peter Peter Odemwingie in their support of the Kiyan Prince Foundation (KPF).
Duran Jr. had to be on top form as Santana pulled out all the stops to try and prevent the Floridian securing his maiden UK victory, Duran Jr. though had bought his ‘A game’ and was more than happy to go to war with the tough Nicaraguan and after four scintillating all action rounds it was Duran Jr that Referee Adrian Thorne deemed victorious by a 40-37 points de marge.

The incident took place outside the gates of his school, the London Academy, located in Edgware North London. Kiyan attempted to resolve the situation in the most peaceable way by directly challenging the aggressor.
The ‘killer’, 16 year old Hannad Hasan, felt that Kiyan had disrespected him because he stood up to him. He then turned and callously killed Kiyan – plunging a knife straight into his chest. Kiyan died of a single, but fatal, stab wound to his heart.
Kiyan, who played for Queens Park Rangers Under-16’s football team. He was dubbed ‘The Bullet’ because of his speed and he was hailed as the next Wayne Rooney… tipped to play for England.
Kiyan was a beautiful, thoughtful, kind and considerate young man. . How he lived was reflected in the way he died… in probably the last words he ever spoke…
Even though he must have been very scared and in pain… in dying he still represented the life he lived. His heart was so full of love and empathy for others. In his final minutes his thoughts were, même alors,, still of others. As he lay bleeding he told his friends: “if these are my last words… tell my Mum I love her.”

En tant que fan de boxe vie, il était dommage que je n'avais un peu plus de deux heures pour passer à l'événement avant de retourner à l'aréna T-Mobile pour le début des combats undercard. Le temps que j'ai pu passer était très agréable. Les prix étaient raisonnables pour répondre à ces légendes fistic et ont quelques instants pour parler et prendre des photos. La moyenne $20 -$25 Prix pour une séance photo était beaucoup moins que ce qui aurait été perdu au casino en un seul tour de roulette.
James Toney était là dans un costume, prouvant qu'il peut même faire élégant look à carreaux. Pour un gars connu pour une nature revêche, il était très accommodant et a dit qu'il sera à Philadelphie pour un spectacle en direct sur Juin 7 et l'espoir de me voir là-bas.
Dans le stand d'à côté était Hall of Fame diffuseur Al Berstein, qui j'ai eu le privilège d'interviewer en 2011. Quand on lui dit de mon admiration pour son travail de classe et d'être un fan depuis ses jours avec Barry Tompkins sur Combats jeudi soir ESPN, il était humble et reconnaissante.
La ligne de rencontrer Roy Jones Jr. était longue, mais la peine d'attendre. Alors que le temps de parler avec Roy était courte, J'ai pu mentionner quel honneur il devait rencontrer l'un des plus grands artistes de ma génération et comment je me suis assis à quelques pieds de lui quand il était sur le plateau Creed II.
Alors que la ligne de rencontrer le légendaire Sugar Ray Leonard était exceptionnellement longue, on pouvait voir qu'il était vraiment s'amuser, ce sourire clignotant millions de dollars et faire ses poings surelevees célèbre séance photo avec les fans. Malheureusement, avec peu de temps en cours d'exécution, Je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de rencontrer un de mes combattants préférés grandir. J'aurais aimé avoir montré une photo de lui quand j'étais âgé de quatre ans, se balancer loin sur le sac de boxe Sugar Ray Leonard m'a donné.
Quelques pieds était l'un des rivaux les plus célèbres de Sugar Ray, le grand Thomas « Hitman » Hearns. Alors que le Hitman a montré un certain ralentissement comme il a vieilli, il prouve encore être une figure imposante, mais il remplace maintenant que l'éblouissement redoutable avec un sourire chaleureux.
Également à venir pour rencontrer Thomas Hearns actuelle IBF des super-champion poids plume Tevin Fermier, un camarade Philadelphian, qui j'ai eu l'occasion de regarder passer d'un 7-4-1 à un boxeur journeyman 29-4-1 champion du monde.
Ma visite ne serait pas complète sans arrêter pour voir « Le diable Pazmanian » Vinny Paz, toujours l'un de mes combattants d'action favoris et des personnalités charismatiques. Au lieu d'une poignée de main, il m'a accueilli avec un gros câlin et a exprimé sa déception que mon père ne me joindre à l'expo.
Dans le court laps de temps, il était impossible de répondre à tous les grands combattants y compris Michael Spinks, Riddick Bowe, Errol Spence, Anthony Dirrell, et Rasoirs Earnie. Avec ce week-end étant Cinco de Mayo, les lignes pour quelques-unes des légendes mexicaines enroulé autour du rez-de-centre de congrès. Mikey Garcia, Marco Antonio Barerra, Erik Morales, et Juan Manuel Marquez tous prouvé être exceptionnellement populaire. Mais rien comparé au bruit de la foule pro-mexicaine quand le grand Julio Cesar Chavez a été introduit.
Assister à cet événement était un rêve devenu réalité et je ne pouvais voudrais avoir plus de temps pour passer à l'événement. Tout était si professionnellement fait et les personnes présentes étaient au-delà accueillir.
Kudos à Expo Fan Box pour un tel événement exceptionnel.

Las Vegas (Mai 1, 2019) – Icône de boxe &Huit fois champion du monde Thomas Hearns hasconfirmed qu'il apparaîtra, un stand et tenir une rencontre et saluer ses fans à la cinquième édition annuelle Box Fan Expo samedi mai 4, 2019 à la Las Vegas Convention Center.L'hôtel Expo est ouvert de 10 a.m. à 5 p.m., Pendant le week-end Cinco De Mayo. La boxe Expo coïncidera également avec la lutte très attendue entre Canelo Alvarez vs Danny Jacobs, qui aura lieu plus tard ce soir au T-Mobile Arena.
Hearns fera sa 4ème apparition à cette année’ Expo et sera la signature des gants, Photos,objets personnels et ont également des marchandises en vente pour les fans de profiter. Les amateurs de boxe auront aussi l'occasion de prendre des photos avec cette vie Légende de la boxe aussi connu sous le nom “The Hitman”.

A propos de Thomas Hearns Hearns plus connu comme étant “The Hitman”, est devenu le premier boxeur de l'histoire à gagner des titres mondiaux dans quatre divisions. Il serait également devenir le premier boxeur de l'histoire à remporter cinq titres mondiaux dans cinq divisions différentes. Hearns a été nommé combattant Ring Magazine de l'année 1980 et 1984 et est surtout connu pour ses combats avec Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler et Roberto Duran. Il a été intronisé au Temple de la renommée en boxe 2012.

Atlantic City, N.J. – Novembre 19, 2018 – Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame (ACBHOF) a annoncé son 2019 induction de classe. Le week-end d'intronisation aura lieu au Claridge, un Hôtel Radisson situé à Park Place & Boardwalk à Atlantic City, New Jersey en Juin 21 – 23, 2019.
“Nous sommes très enthousiasmés par la classe de 2019 et sont très impatients de rendre hommage aux nouveaux intronisés à Atlantic City à notre 3ème week-end d'intronisation annuelle Juin prochain” ACBHOF président et Saïd fondateur Ray McCline.

Bernard Hopkins sera intronisé son premier Temple de la renommée dans le cadre de la troisième classe annuelle qui comprendra un total de 19 intronisés.
“Je me sens apprécié et il commence à Settle dans que je suis près de cette marque de légende vivante. Je ne me vois pas comme une légende vivante. Que d'autres personnes décident. C'est un grand honneur et je suis reconnaissant pour Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame pour la réalisation de cet,” Hopkins a déclaré dans un Novembre 16 entretien RingTV avec Joseph Santoliquito.
“Regardez qui vous cosigner pour; vous ne pouvez pas me vendre noir pour obtenir dans la porte. Vous ne pouvez pas me vendre blanc pour obtenir dans la porte. Vous ne pouvez pas me vendre la moitié blanc ou moitié noir ou rien de tout cela pour obtenir dans la porte. Mais vous pouvez me vendre FIDÉLITÉ” ledit ancien champion deux divisions Bernard Hopkins.
La 3ème cérémonie d'intronisation annuelle & Week-end célébration honorera certains des figures les plus emblématiques du monde du sport de la boxe: Butch Lewis, Nigel Collins, Anglais “Bouie” Pêcheur et New Jersey boxe Hall of Fame président Henry Hascup ne sont que quelques-uns du nom qui sera inscrit à la 2019 classe d'induction.
Intronisées seront nommés dans trois catégories: Combattant, Entraîneur & Cut-Hommes et collaborateurs spéciaux.
“Ce fut un grand honneur d'entendre que j'allais être intronisé Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame. Atlantic City est ma deuxième maison, et comme un combattant pro, je me suis battu à plusieurs reprises dans cette grande ville. Il est une grande ville de la boxe et il est un honneur d'être intronisé Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame” dit Micky Ward.
