Las Vegas (Februari 20, 2020) – Two-division world champion Michael Spinks has confirmed that he will appear at the sixth annual Box Fan Expo on Saturday, Maj 2, 2020, at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m.

Spinks will hold a Meet & Greet with his fans at his booth during the fan event held over the Cinco De Mayo weekend.

The Box Fan Expo is an annual fan event that coincides with some of the sports’ legendarisk, classic fights in Las Vegas, including Mayweather vs. Maidana II, Mayweather vs. Berto, Canelo vs. Chavez Jr., Canelo vs. GGG II, and Canelo vs. Jacobs. Centered in boxing’s longtime home – Las Vegas – this year’s Expo is a must-do for fight fans coming in for this legendary weekend, with dozens of professional fighters, promotorer, and companies involved in the boxing industry. **About Michael Spinks**
Spinks is a two-division world champion, having held the undisputed light heavyweight title from 1983 till 1985, and the lineal heavyweight title from 1985 till 1988. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1994. As an amateur he won a gold medal in the middleweight division at the 1976 Sommar-OS.

Spinks is the brother of former world heavyweight champion Leon Spinks, and uncle of Cory Spinks, a former welterweight and light middleweight champion.
Spinks went undefeated in his first 31 professionella slagsmål, beating such opponents as Dwight Muhammad Qawi, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Marvin Johnson and Eddie Davis en route to becoming the undisputed light heavyweight champion. Following ten successful title defenses, Spinks moved up to heavyweight, and as an underdog defeated long-reigning IBF heavyweight champion Larry Holmes; genom att göra så, Spinks became the first reigning light heavyweight world champion to win the heavyweight title. Spinks only defeat in his professional career came to the hands of Mike Tyson on June 27, 1988. Förra helgens mellanvikt titel uppgörelse mellan Canelo Alvarez och Daniel Jacobs presenterade också den årliga Box Fan Expo, hölls på Las Vegas Convention Center. Den fantastiska MINNESTECKEN på display och levande amatörboxning åtgärder kompletteras en rad tidigare och nuvarande världsmästare kämpar för snabb träffas och hälsar.

Som en livslång boxning fan, Det var synd att jag bara hade lite mer än två timmar att spendera på händelsen innan tillbaka till T-Mobile Arena för starten av undercard skjutningarna. Tiden jag kunde spendera var grundligt njutbar. Priserna var rimliga för att möta dessa BOXNINGS- legender och har en stund att prata och ta foton. Genomsnittet $20 -$25 priset för ett foto op var betydligt mindre än vad som skulle ha gått förlorade på kasinot i en enda roulette spin.

James Toney var där i en kostym, bevisar att han till och med kan göra pläd se snygg. För en kille känd för en buttre natur, Han var mycket tillmötesgående och nämnde han kommer att vara i Philadelphia för en live show juni 7 och hoppas att se mig där.

I montern nästa över var Hall-of-Fame programföretaget Al Berstein, vem jag hade förmånen att intervjua 2011. Då berättade om min beundran av hans stilrena arbete och är ett fan sedan hans dagar med Barry Tompkins på ESPN: s torsdag kväll Fights, Han var ödmjuk och uppskattande.

Linjen att möta Roy Jones Jr. var lång men värt att vänta. Medan tid att prata med Roy var kort, Jag kunde tala om vad en ära det var att träffa en av de största artisterna i min generation och hur jag satt bara ett par fötter från honom när han var på Creed II set.

Tyvärr, med tiden ont, I did not have the opportunity to meet one of my favorite fighters growing up. I would have loved to have shown him a photo when I was four-years-old, swinging away on the Sugar Ray Leonard punching bag I was given.

A few feet away was one of Sugar Ray’s most-famous rivals, the great Thomas “Hitman” Hearns. While the Hitman has shown some slowing as he has aged, he still proves to be an imposing figure, but he now replaces that fearsome glare with a warm smile.

Also coming up to meet Thomas Hearns was current IBF Super-Featherweight Champion Tevin Farmer, a fellow Philadelphian, who I’ve had the opportunity to watch grow from a 7-4-1 journeyman boxer to a 29-4-1 världsmästare.

Mitt besök skulle inte vara komplett utan att stanna för att se ”The Pazmanian Devil” Vinny Paz, alltid en av mina favorit action soldater och karismatiska personligheter. Men ingenting jämfört med bruset av pro-mexikanska publiken när den stora Julio Cesar Chavez infördes.

Delta denna händelse var en dröm och jag kunde bara önskar att jag hade mer tid att spendera på händelsen. Allt var så professionellt gjort och de närvarande var bortom tillmötesgående.

LOS ANGELES (November 30, 2018) – One day before the most significant heavyweight event in the U.S. i över 15 år, heavyweight legends have descended on Los Angeles to discuss the Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury showdown that will be live on SHOWTIME PPV^®Saturday night from STAPLES Center in an event presented by Premier Boxing Champions.

A media roundtable featured heavyweight greats Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Riddick Bowe, Gerry Cooney, Earnie rakapparater, Buster Douglas och Michael Spinks as they broke down Saturday’s battle of unbeaten giants.

Biljetter till evenemanget, which is promoted by BombZquad Enterprises and Queensberry Promotions, in association with TGB Promotions and DiBella Entertainment, are on sale now and are available via AXS.com. Wilder vs. Fury will be produced and distributed by SHOWTIME PPV. The suggested retail price (SRP) for the pay-per-view telecast is $64.99 for standard definition.

The roundtable was hosted by SHOWTIME Sports award-winning reporter Jim Gray from the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites, Los Angeles. Here is what the heavyweight legends had to say Friday:

Evander Holyfield

“I feel that Deontay Wilder will win because eventually he’ll land that right hand. He’s very patient. He’s a thinker, but he can also take chances. When people take chances, they win.

“Deontay might not have as much experience as we did in our day, but he’s got the power. That’s what the people want to see and I think they’re going to be happy when they see it.

“There was a point in time where every great heavyweight was from the United States. We had a very good amateur program. I was the last true heavyweight champion from the U.S. before Wilder and until I lost the decision against Lennox.

“To be the heavyweight champion of the world, and to say you’re the best, you have to fight any man.”

Lennox Lewis

“I think it’s going to be a great fight. Deontay Wilder has a terrific right hand and when it lands, not too many people can stand up to it. I also think that you can’t hurt what you can’t hit. Tyson Fury is not an easy person to hit. He has great ability and movement. I’m going with Deontay early or Fury late.

“We all know how it feels to lose the heavyweight championship. We know how hard it is to gain it back. Fury has lost it, and now he wants it back. I can see now that he’s sacrificing and saying to himself that he shouldn’t have lost it, and now he has to regain it.

“I think the view in the U.K. is that Tyson Fury is the man that stepped up. The gauntlet was thrown out there and he stood up for Britain. Deontay came to England to challenge Anthony Joshua, but it was Tyson Fury who answered the call.

“I would say that there are a couple of meccas in boxing that are places where everyone wants to fight. Las Vegas, New York and of course, Los Angeles. My fight against Vitali Klitschko at STAPLES Center was a great fight. My plan that night was not to box to go the distance, I boxed to go a short distance and it did.”

RIDDICK BOWE

“I’m going with Deontay Wilder tomorrow night. He’s going to put on a great show for everyone and get another knockout.

“Tyson Fury is skilled and tall, men för mig, he doesn’t do enough on offense. He moves but he doesn’t move his hands enough.”

GERRY COONEY

“I think it’s a great fight tomorrow night. We know that Fury is coming back motivated. If Wilder finds a home for that right, he’s going to take Fury out. I think he’s going to connect at some point during the fight.

“I think Tyson Fury is a great man for how far he’s come back in his life and for standing up to Deontay Wilder. Fury called him out, so maybe he knows something we don’t know.

“I’m so glad to be up here. Look at all these great heavyweights and great guys. It’s special and they’re all here to watch this fight tomorrow night.”

EARNIE SHAVERS

“Me and Deontay are both from Alabama. I’ll be inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame soon and Deontay will be there one day as well. Deontay is a great puncher and I’m pulling for him tomorrow night.

“I fought in a great era. If you fight guys on the same level, you’ll get good fights. These guys today could get in there in our day and put on a good show.”

BUSTER DOUGLAS

“I think this is going to be a good competitive fight. If I had to pick, I’d take Deontay Wilder by knockout in the eighth round.

“I feel like Tyson Fury has already won by battling back and getting into great shape and being in this position. I’m sure many people thought they’d never see him back here. That’s a victory in itself.

“My victory over Mike Tyson changed my life in a great way. I was now the heavyweight champion of the world. My dream had come true. Seeing my two youngest kids being born was the only thing that could top it.”

MICHAEL SPINKS

“Må bäste man vinna. I don’t know who’s in the best of shape but I think Fury being out of the ring makes me lean toward Deontay Wilder. If Fury is as big in person as they say he is, he’s got a great chance.

“If you’re the underdog, you just have to go on what you know and what you’ve worked on. You can’t pay attention to the doubters. You focus on what you’ve prepared yourself for and give it your all. I always saw myself winning. It’s the greatest feeling to come out of the ring victorious.”

Las Vegas (Juli 3, 2018) – Three Time World Champion Jessie Vargas has confirmed that he will appear and hold a Meet & Greet with his fans at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the fourth Annual Box Fan Expo på Lördag September 15, 2018 från 10 AM TO 5 PM, during Mexican Independence weekend. Vargas is a Mexican American professional boxer who is a former two-weight world champion, having held the WBA (Regular) and IBO super lightweight titles in 2014 and the WBO welterweight title in 2016.

Erik Morales Nicknamed “Den förskräcklige,” is a retired Mexican boxing legend and is being inducted into the International Boxing Hall of fame in Canastota on June 10th, 2018).Morales compiled a 52-9 record in 61 slagsmål, Inklusive 41 straight wins to start his career, and won world titles in four different weight classes (junior fjädervikt, fjäder, junior lightweight, junior weltervikt). Their memorable fights were also named Ring Magazine’s fight of the year on February 19, 2000 and once again on November 27, 2004.

Las Vegas (Juni 26, 2018) – Three-Time world champion Fernando Vargas has confirmed that he and his Feroz Fight Factory Gym will appear, have a booth and hold a Meet & Greet with his fans at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the fourth Annual Box Fan Expo som kommer att äga rum Lördag September 15, 2018 från 10a.m to 5pm, during Mexican Independence weekend. The Boxing Expo will also coincide with the highly anticipated rematch between Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin, that will take place later that evening.

Vargas and the Feroz Fight Factory will have merchandise to sell to his fans, samt foton och minnessaker.

Fernando Vargas, är en pensionerad amerikansk boxare av mexikanska härkomst och 3 Time world champion with a Pro record of 31 vinner 5 losses and 22 KO: s. He who won a bronze medal as an amateur at the 1995 Pan American Games in Mar del Plata. Hans smeknamn inkluderar “Vilt”, “Den aztekiska Warrior” och “El Feroz”. Vargas was the youngest open national champion at 16 yrs old. The youngest boxing Olympian at 18yrs old and holds the record in boxing history as the youngest to become jr. middleweight champion at 21 år gammal.

Some of Fernando’s notable wins came against 5 world champions which includes, Raul Marquez, Yori Boy Campus, Ike Quartey, Javier Castillejo and Winky Wright. His losses to Oscar De La Hoya, Félix Trinidad, Shane Mosley, and Ricardo Mayorga remain his only career defeats and he is a favorite of American cable TV giant HBO.

Las Vegas (Mars 26, 2018) – Three Time World Champion Jessie Vargas has confirmed that he will appear, have a booth and hold a Meet & Greet with his fans at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the 4th edition of Box Fan Expo som kommer att äga rum

Saturday May 5, 2018 från 10am to 5pm, during Cinco De Mayo fight weekend.

Vargas will once again appear at this year’s Expo where he will be launching and introducing his new “Jessie Vargas Tequila Signature Bottle” products. Vargas will be signing gloves, photos and will also have merchandise for fans to enjoy. Boxing fans will also have a great opportunity to take pictures with this boxing star. Vargas will also be involved in a mega fight event versus Adrien Broner on April 21st vid Barclays Center i Brooklyn, New York. The fight will be Live on Showtime Boxing, Presenteras av Premier Boxing Champions “PBC” and co-promoted by Mayweather Promotions and Dibella Entertainment.

Vargas joins, David Benavidez, José Benavidez, Zab Judah, Shannon Briggs, Badou Jack, Kelly Pavlik, Erik Morales and Fernando Vargas among early commitments to this year’s Box Fan Expo.
