RENO’S JJ MARIANO TO MAKE PRO DEBUT / CARSON CITY’S ELIZONDO RETURNS TO RING JUNE 8TH

30.května, RENO — Northern Nevadans JJ Mariano and Diego Elizondo are scheduled to fight on the June 8th world-championship boxing card at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The event is presented by Top Rank Inc., Pojďme Get It On Promotions, and the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. The evening’s feature attraction matches World Champion Oscar Valdez (25-0, 20 KO) against Jason Sanchez (14-0, 7 KO) for the WBO Featherweight World Title.  



Making his highly anticipated pro debut, Reno’s own JJ Mariano will be fighting William Flenoy of Fresno in a four-round jr. welterweight bout. Mariano, who has been exciting local boxing fans by fighting for University of Nevada Reno’s boxing program, is ready to throw his hat into the prize ring.  

“I’ve been looking forward to fighting professionally for about a year now.” Says Mariano. “Being able to have your first pro fight in your hometown is something special.”

Mariano, who is a Reed High School graduate, has also recently participated in various Golden Glove tournaments.

In a battle of undefeated prospects, Lehký Carson City Diego Elizondo (2-0-1) will be fighting Sacramento’s Sergio Vega (2-0) in a four-round match. After a layoff, Elizondo is eager to get back into the squared-circle.

“I have bigger plans in boxing.” Says Elizondo.  “A win over Vega will be a step in the right direction.”


Valdez-Sanchez and the 10-round co-feature will be televised live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT. Undercard bouts will stream live on ESPN+, the leading multi-sport streaming service, začínající na 6:30 p.m. A / 3:30 p.m. PT.

30. dubna, RENO — Karta je připravena na světovou boxerskou událost 4. května, kterou pořádají Let’s Get It On Promotions a Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa v Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Večerní atrakce přitahuje světově proslulého Oscara „El Chapito“ Vasqueza (15-1) proti Ricardovi „El Niño“ Sandovalovi (12-1) v osmi kolech, bitva se superlehkou váhou. Velkolepý undercard doplňuje hlavní událost.

 

 

 

Neporažený vyhlídkový a vyřazovací stroj v těžké váze, Frank „Freedom Fighter“ Sanchez (5-0, 5 KO), byl přidán na kartu 4. května. Sanchez se narodil a vyrůstal v zálivu Guantánamo na Kubě. Ve své rodné zemi, soutěžil ve více než dvou stech boxerských zápasů jako amatér. Utekl z Kuby 2016 a vydal se do Las Vegas, kde podepsal manažerskou smlouvu s rozhodčím Síně slávy ve výslužbě Richardem Steeleem. Sanchez bude bojovat s veteránem Lamontem Capersem (9-11) v šestikolové bitvě.

 

 

 

Lehký Carson City Diego Elizondo (2-0) bude bojovat s velmi tvrdým Canton Millerem (3-1) ve čtyřkolovém zápase.

 

 

 

V šestikolovém zápase s křižníkem, U.S.. Armádní veterán Blake „The Beast“ McKernan (7-0, 5 KO) Sacramenta bude čelit mexickému Danielovi Arambule (4-2).

 

 

 

V klasickém mexickém vs. Portorický boj, Santos "Titos" Vasquez (5-2-1), který je Oskarovým mladším bratrem a náhradníkem 2012 U.S.. Olympijský boxerský tým, bude bojovat s portorickým Bryanem Aquinem (11-2) v šesti kole záchvatu juniorské muší váhy.

 

 

 

Ricardo „Snílek“ Lucio-Galvan (2-0, 2 KO) je naplánováno bojovat ve čtyřkolovém souboji s muší váhou.

“CHAPITO” VASQUEZ WINS IN FALLON RURAL RUMBLE 2017

AUGUST 14th, RENO — The Fallon Rural Rumble once again delivered a night of sensational world-class professional boxing in it’s tenth installment v sobotu noc.

 

In his first ten-round fight, Reno native and world-ranked flyweight Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez scored an impressive unanimous decision win over Javier Gallo in the evening’s main event. Vasquez improves to 14-1.

 

In the co-main, Stockton, CA sensation Gabriel Flores Jr. scored a shutout unanimous decision win over the tough Jorge Padron of Mexico. Flores improves to 3-0 (2 KO).

 

Carson City’s Diego Elizondo also scored a shutout UD victory over Chandler Clements in his pro debut.

 

Sacramento’s Pedro Moreno improves to 7-0 (5 KO) with an impressive second-round TKO victory over Curtis Morton.

 

V úvodním zápase, Stockton CA’s Quilisto “Kilo the Kid” Madera with a sensational second-round, one-shot KO win over Austin Marcum. Madera improves to 7-0 (4 KO).

VASQUEZ AND FLORES CO-HEADLINE TENTH ANNUAL FALLON “RURAL RUMBLE” 8/12

JULY 19th, RENO — The City of Fallon and Let’s Get It On Promotions are pleased to announce the tenth annual ‘Rural Rumble’. The August 12th fight card will feature Reno’s Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez (13-1), and Gabriel Flores (2-0) Stockton, JAKO.

 

Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez, who was recently ranked #15 flyweight in the world by the World Boxing Organization, is coming off of a dominant unanimous decision victory over Armando Vasquez in June. He looks to further his world title campaign against veteran Javier Gallo (24-13-1) who is coming off of an impressive upset split decision victory over Jose Salgado in April. Vasquez versus Gallo is scheduled for ten rounds.

 

Neporažený, vzrušující, and youngest-ever signed Top Rank Inc. boxer Gabriel Flores makes his return to Northern Nevada at this year’s Rural Rumble. In his professional debut on May 5th, Flores delighted the Reno fight fans by impressively knocking out Devon Jones. On June 30th, he scored his second consecutive KO over Jahaziel Vasquez in Texas. .

 

Four other bouts are scheduled for August 12th in Fallon. Carson City’s own Diego Elizondo will be making his anticipated professional debut in a four-round lightweight fight. After impressing the boxing fans in Fallon last year, undefeated Northern California favorite Pedro Moreno (6-0) returns to the 2017 Rural Rumble in a lightweight bout. Reno Jr.-flyweight, Santos Vasquez, looks to continue his third win in a row in a six-round bout. And finally, Reno bantamweight Alec McGee (2-1) looks to get back into the win column as he, také, returns to Fallon for the 2017 Rural Rumble in a four round scrap.
