(März 26, 2019) – Undercard action on Saturday, April 13 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City will feature an exciting lineup, including a women’s featherweight world title matchup and unbeaten prospects stepping in the ring, leading up to the SHOWTIME BOXING: SPECIAL EDITION tripleheader headlined by the Claressa Shields vs. Christina Hammer showdown for the undisputed 160-pound world championship.

The undercard lineup is highlighted by unbeaten Russian Helen Gärtner (9-0, 2 KOs) vying for her first world title when she takes on former two-time title challenger Brenda Karen Carabajal (15-4-1, 9 KOs) um die vakante IBF-Federgewicht-Weltmeisterschaft.

NEW YORK – März 7, 2019 – Two undefeated heavyweight prospects will put their unblemished records on the line when they fight in separate bouts on Saturday, April 13 live auf SHOWTIME aus der Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J on the undercard of the Claressa Shields-Christina Hammer groundbreaking event. The 25-year-old Franklin (17-0, 13 KOs), von Saginaw, Mich., is a former amateur standout and a 2014 Nationaler Champion der Goldenen Handschuhe. He suffered his lone defeat to former three-division world champion James Toney, who was coming off wins over Vassiliy Jirov and Evander Holyfield, in 2004. After serving a 12-year prison sentence, Booker has returned to the ring looking to get his life back on track and live up to his once promising expectations, registering three unanimous decision victories in 2018 under the tutelage of former world champion Jimmy Paul.

“It means a lot to have this opportunity to fight on SHOWTIME,” said the 38-year-old Booker, who sparred with heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua in preparation for his September 2018 bout with Alexander Povetkin. “I’m ready to show my talents on a national stage so everyone will know who Rydell Booker is once again. I think Jermaine Franklin is a pretty good fighter but he has never fought anybody with my experience, knowledge in the ring or my ring savvy. I am going to teach him some new lessons on April 13. I have a bag full of goodies and tricks at my disposal that I will teach this young whipper snapper.”

Wallin (20-0, 13 KOs), wer wird seinen US-. Debüt, Profi wurde in 2013 and has gradually risen in the rankings by recording 20 Siege. I will be one step closer towards my goal of winning the heavyweight world title. Like I’ve said before, I’m a kid from a small town in Sweden and I’m proud of where I’m from and what I’ve achieved so far, but I feel like this is when all the fun starts.”

The 28-year-old Kisner (21-4-1, 6 KOs) has competed at both cruiserweight and heavyweight since turning professional in 2010 after a successful amateur career. Among Kisner’s numerous amateur recognitions, the Baltimore, Md. native was a three-time National Silver Gloves Champion, two-time Junior National Golden Gloves Champion and Ringside World Champion. He holds the distinction of being the youngest boxer in American history ever to win a Men’s National Title in the heavyweight division at 17 Jahre alt. As a pro, three of Kisner’s four losses have come against opponents who boasted an undefeated record on fight night. “This has been long overdue. I’m just glad that Hammer is here and the fight is set. She’s been at my fights before but I can’t wait to get inside the ring and show her I’m the real champion.

“I’ve traveled to many different countries and dethroned champions around the world. Am Ende des Tages, I’m coming to fight and I recognize that she’s a great champion. To be a champion for all those years shows that she’s a good fighter. But I also look at resumes, and her resume is not as good as mine.

WBO Belted Yomar Álamo in Puerto Rico

Aguas Buenas – In an emotional activity held at the Aguas Buenas Urban High School, die Weltboxorganisation (WBO-), together with its president, Francisco “Paco” Valcárcel, Esq., delivered the WBO North America (NACHBAR) Jr. Welterweight title to boxer Yomar “The Magic” Álamo which he won last Friday in Florida, after defeating Mexican Manuel Méndez by unanimous decision in an event promoted by All Star Boxing.

“When Yomar fought the previously, we were not pleased, Yomar’s people made the decision for him to train with Iván Calderón so that he learned some techniques that Iván had already used very well. Iván is the architect of this and I recognize his work as a coach who charge of polishing this diamond. As a fighter, Iván made 18 world title defenses in the 105 und 108 pounds of the WBO and will be a safe bet for the Hall of Fame”, Varcárcel said.

An excited Álamo said: “I am very happy with this tribute. This fight was for my people of Aguas Buenas and Puerto Rico, who so need moments of happiness. NEW YORK – Februar 12, 2019 - Die ungeschlagenen Weltmeisterinnen im Mittelgewicht Claressa Shields und Christina Hammer treffen am Samstag aufeinander, April 13 live auf SHOWTIME, um den unangefochtenen 160-Pfund-Weltmeister der Frauen zu krönen. Die Blockbuster-Vereinigung von Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. wird das Hauptereignis von . sein Showtime Boxing: SONDERAUSGABE Leben zu 9 p.m. ET/PT und ist wohl das bedeutendste Boxereignis für Frauen in der Geschichte.



Shields vs. Hammer verfügt über zwei der konsensuellen Top-10-Pfund-für-Pfund-Kämpfer der Welt, die sich gegen den zweiten unangefochtenen Champion in der Geschichte des weiblichen Boxens stellen.Der Kampf, ursprünglich für November geplant 2018, wurde aufgrund eines inzwischen gelösten medizinischen Problems von Hammer verschoben.

In ihren acht Jahren als Champion, Hammer hat nur eine Handvoll Runden verloren 16 WM-Titel kämpft. Hammer, der auch professionell modelliert und kürzlich auf der Fashion Week in New York City vorgestellt wurde, machte sie in den USA. In festlicher familiärer Atmosphäre, die Weltboxorganisation (WBO-), durch sein erfolgreiches WBO Kids Drug Free Programm, gelieferte Fahrräder, Schulbedarf und Sportartikel für die Kinder von Cubuy in der Stadt Canóvanas, Puerto Rico.

Die Veranstaltung wurde vom WBO-Präsidenten geleitet Francisco 'Paco’ Valcárcel, Esq, Trainer Jesus ‘Chuito’ Ayala, und Schiedsrichter José h. Rivera.

“Jeden Tag arbeiten wir mit Kindern, um zu sein Weltmeister im Ring oder, wichtiger, im Leben. Wir arbeiten um zu sein diszipliniert fürs Leben. Wir danken der WBO für die Hilfe bei diesem Prozess mit ihren Aktivitäten für die Kinder, Wer ist die Zukunft“, sagte Trainer Ayala.

WBO-Präsident Valcárcel sagte allen präsentiere das “die arbeit die alle hier leisten ist gewaltig. Dank an Leute wie Chuito, die sehr hart und uneigennützig zum Wohle der Kinder, das sind unsere prioritäten. Hier geben wir ihnen ein paar Geschenke, die sie mitnehmen können nach Hause, weil sie sich gut benommen haben. Die Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung war zwischenzeitlich Latino-WBO-Schwergewichts-Champion Víctor Bisbal, WBO Latino Jr. Weltergewicht Meister Jean Carlos „Lobo“ Torres, WBO/NABO Jr. Fliegengewichts-Champion Wilfredo „Bimbito“ Mendez, WBO Latino Jr. Bantamgewichts-Champion Yenifel Vicente, und WBO Latino-Champion im Federgewicht Luis „Popeye“ Lebrón. Andere Boxer, die waren Anwesend waren Alberto Mercado und David Reyes sowie der Amateurboxer Armani „The Vermächtnis” Alméstica.

Auch bei der Veranstaltung waren Manager Raúl Pastrana, Margaro Cruz und José Ortíz; trainiert Jesís „Tongui“ Ortiz, ich die "Yowy" González, und Oro Lebrón. Der Schiedsrichter Roberto Ramírez,Jr., körperlich Trainer und Ernährungsberater DJ, und der Vizepräsident des Spartan Boxing Club Mayra Pastrana nahm auch an der Veranstaltung teil. Für die WBO, Geschäftsführender Direktor der NABO / Interkontinental Diana Melendez, der Schatzmeister Adolfo Flores, Stellvertretender Vorsitzender des Meisterschaftskomitees Enrique Mendoza, Esq, und Bewertungen Ausschussvorsitzender Edgardo López Sasso waren anwesend.

WBO Kids Drug Free program impacted the children of Aguas Buenas

Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico – With its consistent social commitment, die Weltboxorganisation (WBO-), chaired by Francisco “Paco” Valcárcel, Esq, and through the program WBO Kids Drug Free, brought joy and gifts for the children of the ‘Educational Center: Play, Explore & Learn’ and ‘Hacienda Don Antonio’. Both centers are located in the city of Aguas Buenas.

During the busy event that took place in the municipal boxing gym of Aguas Buenas, the children received backpacks with school supplies and sporting goods. Auch, motivational speeches were given, bicycles were raffled, and lunch was served for them.

“We have no words for what the WBO did for our city. It was the second time this year our children saw the WBO visiting and helping us. In the future, this will reflect on their lives. Our gratitude is infinite. Thanks Paco, for this gesture of love”, said the mayor of Aguas Buenas, Javier García Pérez.

“Thanks to the mayor for putting the sport of his city first. These activities serve to motivate, but the most important thing is that we have to be consistent in maintaining that. This isn’t done overnight; this is a process that we work with a lot of love and in the long term, we see extraordinary results”, Valcárcel said.

The WBO Interim Latino Heavyweight champion Víctor Bisbal, WBO Latino Jr. Welter Champion Jean Carlos “Lobo” Torres, WBO/NABO Flyweight Champion Jonathan “Bomba” González, and WBA World Featherweight Champion Jesús Rojas participated as volunteers, along with prospects Yomar Álamo, Emmanuel “Tito” Morales, Alfredo “El Salsero” Cruz, Patrick Cora and John Karl Sosa. Amateur boxing was represented with the presence of Alexamil Cotto, Tatiana Ortiz, Ryan Montes, Ramón Montes, Kenneth Molina, Ivan Silva, Yadel Hernández, Gabriel Menard, Joshua Carrión, Carlos Rivera, Carlos Díaz, Ángel Javier, Christian Rivera and Adrián Ortiz.

Also in attendance was manager Orlando Piñero, trainers Álex Caraballo, Jesús “Tongui” Ortiz, Yoel “Yowy” González, Felix Pagan Pintor, Armando Álamo, Efraín Román, Eliezer González and Edwin Delgado. The professional boxing referees Luis Pabón, José Hiram Rivera, Melva Santos and Roberto Ramírez,Jr were also present, as well as professional boxing judge Luis Ruiz. From the WBO, other than Valcárcel, legal advisor Gustavo Olivieri,Esq, treasurer Adolfo Flores, and the Vice Chairman of the Championship Committee Enrique Mendoza, Esq were also in the activity.

WBO Kids Drug Free is an international program aimed at children and young people in order to carry a message of prevention of drug use and to motivate them to continue studying and using sports as a tool to stay on the right path, as well that support causes directed to those in need in order to contribute to a better quality of life.
