NEF ANNOUNCES SUMMER’S HOTTEST FIGHT CARD

ZUR SOFORTIGEN VERÖFFENTLICHUNG: Lewiston, Maine (Juli 16, 2025) - New England Fights ("NEF") presents its next event “NEF 63: Cruel Summer," am Samstag, August 9, 2025, at the Lewiston Memorial Armory in Lewiston, Maine. The event will make history as the first ever sanctioned hybrid mixed-martial-arts (MMA) and kickboxing card in Maine. Bereits heute Morgen, NEF kündigte die Vollkampfkarte für die Veranstaltung an. Eine Mega-Karte, die aus zwei Dutzend Kämpfen bestand, wurde mit einer Reihe von MMA-Titelkämpfen veröffentlicht, Groll Matches, und Kickbox -Wettbewerbe.

„Das ist die alte Schule NEF,"Proklamierte NEF-Miteigentümer und Promoter Nick Disalvo. Einfach ohne Unterbrechung von der Zeit, als der erste Kampf den Käfig bis zum letzten trifft. Wir wollten wirklich etwas Besonderes für unser Debüt in der Waffenkammer und für das Debüt eines regulierten Kickboxens in Maine zusammenstellen. Die große Geschichte des Abends ist der Ruhestandskampf von Lewiston/Auburns eigener Jesse "The Viking" Erickson (11-9).  Erickson, Einer der beliebtesten Athleten der Beförderung, nahm bereits 2012 an der „NEF 1“ -Karte in Lewiston teil. Er war im Laufe der Jahre ein Top-Herausforderer für den Profi-Leichtgewichtstitel von NEF und vertritt in der Nähe von Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ).  Erickson wird ein letztes Mal in den Nef Cage eintreten, Brian Cosco aus Massachusetts von Massachusetts ausgesetzt (2-2) in einem Einsatzgewicht von 165 Pfund in einem professionellen MMA -Kampf.

Das Hauptereignis der Nacht wird Nick Eldridge enthalten (4-0) Verteidigung des professionellen MMA Bantamgewichts -Titels der Aktion gegen die Herausforderung des kanadischen potenziellen Aussage Olivier Poisson (3-0).  Eldridge gewann die 135-Pfund-Meisterschaft bei „NEF 62“ im vergangenen Mai, der zuvor ungeschlagen Tim Fargo überreicht wurde (3-1) Der erste Verlust seiner beruflichen Laufbahn.

Eldridges Nostos -Teamkollege Nathaniel Grimard (7-5) Wird sich der Felipe Günter von First Class MMA ansehen (3-1) in der heiß erwarteten Co-Main-Veranstaltung für den professionellen MMA-Federgewicht von NEF. Beide Konkurrenten waren in ihren jeweiligen Karrieren bei den Fans sehr beliebt. Beide hielten Gold mit der Beförderung als Amateure.

Lokale Lieblings -Killa -Kam Arnold (6-1) Ich werde versuchen, seine Vierkämpf-Siegesserie am Leben zu erhalten, wenn er versierte Pennsylvania-Veteranin Charlie „The Madman“ trifft (9-11) in einem MMA -Kampf mit einem Einsatzgewicht.

Auch auf dem professionellen Teil der MMA -Karte vorgestellt: Fred Allen Sfeir (1-0) und Joshua Sotero (1-0) wird jeweils ihren ungeschlagenen Rekord in einem Federgewichtswettbewerb auf die Linie setzen; Tyler Smythe (5-6) kehrt nach einem kürzlichen Ausflug im Boxring zum MMA Cage zurück, um Erick Alvarado zu treffen (2-2); und Rumford, Maine's Nate Boucher (0-5) und Floridas Paul Walters (0-7) Beide suchen nach dem ersten Sieg ihrer jeweiligen professionellen MMA -Karriere in einem Vorschlag.

Zwei Titelkämpfe werden den Amateur -MMA -Teil der Kampfkarte überschreiben.

Ungeschlagener Nate „The Maultier“ weiß (7-0) wird mit Brandon Oldenburg abtreten (2-3) Für den freien Amateur -MMA -Schwergewichtstitel. White wird zum ersten Mal in den Wettbewerb stehen 21 Monate. Oldenburg ist mit zwei Knockouts in der ersten Runde eine Gewinnserie mit zwei Kämpfen.

Sean Wakefield (7-4) soll gegen Preston Lapointe kämpfen (4-1) Für den Amateur -MMA -Weltergewicht von NEF. Das Paar traf sich zuvor in Indiana in diesem Frühjahr für eine regionale Meisterschaft. Lapointe gewann in diesem ersten Kampf eine sehr enge Entscheidung. Ein hochkompetitiver Rückkampf wird erwartet.

Auch auf dem Amateurabschnitt der MMA-Karte wird ein Bantamgewicht zwischen hochqualifizierten Konkurrenten Julian Connecton sein (6-3) und Qasim Abdullah (3-1).

Sieben Amateur -Kickbox -Kämpfe sind für die Unterkarte „NEF 63“ geplant.

Wie die Kartenbestellung jetzt steht, Ben Perry (0-0) Von Nostos und Abdinajib Adan (1-0) des Choi -Instituts wird die Ehre haben, der erste regulierte Kickboxing in der Geschichte von Maine zu sein.

William Lagasse (0-0) wird Connor Morrill treffen (3-0) in einem Amateur -Kickboxing -Kampf. Es wird ein Rückkampf ihres ersten Treffens sein-ein Amateur-MMA-Kampf, der von Lagasse über die erste Runde gewonnen wird.

Auch auf dem Amateur -Kickbox -Teil der Karte, 52-jährlich altes Eis jung (0-0) Ich werde sein NEF -Debüt gegen Daniel Heredia geben (1-0) in einem leichten Schwergewichtswettbewerb.

Former NEF Amateur Featherweight ChampionNathaniel Grimard (0-0) soll übernehmenAnthony Vasta (0-0) bei einem Kampf Gewicht von 145 Pfund-.

Nathaniel Grimard made his NEF MMA debut in September 2019 bei „NEF 40: School of Hard Knocks.” That night, Grimard submitted Justin Kangas (0-3) via armbar in the first round. During the pandemic lockdown, Grimard competed twice in Florida and improved his record to 3-0. His unbeaten record positioned Grimard to challenge for the then vacant NEF Featherweight Championship. Im August, Grimard stopped Brandon Maillet-Fevens (3-2) in the second round at “NEF 44: Back in Black” to become the 145-pound titleholder. Grimard got right back in the cage at “NEF 45: Uprising” to defend his strap against Billy Wilson (7-1) from the famed Jackson Wink MMA camp in New Mexico. Grimard lost a laborious five-round decision that made Wilson the new champion. Jetzt, Grimard hits the reset switch as he plans to turn professional against NEF newcomer, Anthony Vasta. Grimard represents Nostos MMA of Somersworth, New Hampshire, wo er unter UFC- und Bellator-Veteranen trainiert, und ehemaliger NEF Professional Lightweight Champion, Devin Powell (10-5).

Vasta has a 1-1 amateur record and trains at Defensive Edge Martial Arts Academy in Wakefield, Massachusetts.

“Being able to make my professional debut against another rising New England fighter that I respect is exciting,” Vasta stated. “It’s time to take the next step in my career, put my skills to the test, and seize the opportunity. My style is really unorthodox and hard to prepare for. I plan to go out there and put on a dominant performance against another tough prospect of this division.”

Bereits heute Morgen, NEF announced the addition of an amateur championship bout to the fight card. NEF Flyweight ChampionTyler Smythe (3-1) is scheduled to defend his title against former NEF Flyweight ChampionRyan "Gordo" Burgess (3-2) bei einem Kampfgewicht von 125 Pfund.

Tyler Smythe notched his third MMA win and captured coveted NEF gold in the process when he recently stopped previously undefeated flyweight prospect Caleb “Dr. Wohlfühlen ”Austin (5-1) in a “Fight of the Night” performance at “NEF 45: Uprising.” Down on the scorecards but not discouraged, Smythe waged a come-from-behind victory to earn the technical knockout (DIE) stoppage over Austin in the final second of the fourth round of their championship bout. Never one to slow down, Smythe, who is trained by Nate Libby out of Evolution Athletix in Saco, Maine, is anxious to make an immediate turnaround and defend his title against a former NEF Champion.

“From bell to bell, every round, I’ll be going at this kid like he owes me money,” Smythe stated. “I want a quick finish. Ryan doesn’t deserve to be in that cage with me. February 12th, I’ll show why I’m the NEF flyweight champ.”

Ryan Burgess is no stranger to championship challenges. Hailing from Rumford, Maine, Burgess is one of only four Mountain Valley High School mat men to ever win triple state crowns in wrestling. He amassed an amazing 151-23 overall high school record before graduating and turning his attention to mixed martial arts. Burgess quickly made a name for himself in MMA when he won the NEF Flyweight Championship in November 2015 with a split-decision nod over then Champion Dustin Veinott (5-4). When Burgess last competed, he displayed a dangerous Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) game off his back in defeating Nate Boucher (0-1) in a heated hometown rivalry. Bürger, a BJJ purple belt, trains under Jason “JB” Bell and fights out of Bell’s Famoso BJJ.

“I’m super excited to make my return on NEF’s 10-year anniversary show,” Burgess stated. “It’s been a long time coming for me to return to the cage and I can’t think of a more perfect scenario than coming back and regaining my flyweight title with a finish over Smythe. It’s been three years since I’ve competed, but my coach, Jason Bell, and I have been putting in work behind the scenes. I can’t wait to showcase my skills and put on a show for the fans.

“Smythe seems like a tough opponent, and it was no easy feat for him to defeat Caleb Austin for the belt,” Burgess continued. “With that being said, I see many holes in his game that I plan to exploit come February 12th. I hope he’s not expecting the same fighter he’s watching in the three-plus-year-old film he’s researching to better understand me. Mentally and skillfully, I am a far superior fighter compared to my previous bouts and only my training partners actually know the weapons I’ll be bringing into that cage to get the job done. Smythe may rethink his entire pursuit of a professional MMA career when I’m finished with him. The pressure I’m going to bring would melt any of these amateur flyweights in New England and come February they will all be on notice.”

FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE WILL BE UP FOR GRABS AT NEF 45 IN PORTLAND

Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of an amateur featherweight title bout to the fight card. Reigning NEF Amateur Featherweight ChampionNathaniel Grimard(4-0) will defend his belt againstBilly Wilson (6-1).

Since his debut in September 2019, undefeated Nathaniel Grimard has emerged as one of the top amateur prospects on the New England MMA circuit. Grimard submitted Justin Kangas (0-3) in the first round at “NEF 40” in Orono, Maine. During the Covid-19 pandemic, and the resulting shutdown of combat sports events in the northeast region, Grimard kept himself active by taking fights in Florida where he was victorious twice. Last month at “NEF 44” he won the NEF Amateur Featherweight Title with an impressive second-round technical knockout of Brandon Maillet-Fevens (3-2).  Grimard represents Nostos MMA of Somersworth, New Hampshire, wo er unter UFC- und Bellator-Veteranen trainiert, und ehemaliger NEF Professional Lightweight Champion, Devin Powell (10-5).

“I’m very excited to fight in Portland against my toughest opponent yet,“ sagte Grimard. “Billy comes from a very credible gym with a little more experience than me, but that’s what motivates and excites me about this fight. Billy “The Kid” Wilson comes to Maine as the challenger on November 5th.  Of his six victories, Wilson holds four finishes with three technical knockouts and one submission. He has actively competed in the sport since summer 2017. Wilson currently represents Jackson Wink based in Albuquerque, New Mexico – a world-renowned MMA training academy whose roster reads like a “who’s who” of UFC champions and legends like Jon Jones (26-1) and Holly Holm (33-2-3) nur um ein paar zu nennen.

“I’m very blessed to have the opportunity to go out and travel to a whole new area to compete,” said Wilson when reached for comment.  “I had just switched my camps to Jackson Wink, and I think the fans will see a whole new fighter.”

NEF 43 RESCHEDULED TO JUNE 13 DUE TO CORONAVIRUS CONCERNS

Orono, Maine (März 20, 2020) - New England Fights (NEF) announced today that the fight promotion’s next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) Ereignis, "NEF 43: Randale,” has been rescheduled to Saturday, Juni 13, 2020. Das Ereignis, which will originate from the Collins Center for the Arts on the University of Maine’s flagship Orono campus, was originally scheduled to be held on April 18. Event organizers, jedoch, have decided to reschedule to June 13 based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recent recommendation that all events and gatherings consisting of 50 people or more be postponed for at least eight weeks due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 coronavirus contagion.

Bereits heute Morgen, NEF released the following statement from its owners Nick DiSalvo and Matt Peterson via its Facebook page:

Due to ongoing concerns surrounding the coronavirus and public gatherings, NEF 43 has been re-scheduled to Saturday, Juni 13, 2020, at the Collins Center for the Arts in Orono. Doors will open at 6 pm and first fight will be at 7 pm.

For tickets purchased through a fighter (or for those who plan to purchase tickets through a fighter): All tickets printed with the April 18 date will be honored at the door on June 13. If you cannot attend the event on the new date of June 13, please contact the fighter that originally sold you the ticket.

Richard won the then-vacant championship last November in Portland, Maine with a unanimous decision victory over “Magic” Mike Murray (3-2).  He is no stranger to titles, having won a Maine State Championship wrestling for Massabesic High School in Waterboro in 2015. The win capped a tremendous sophomore year in the cage for Richard as the follow-up to his 2018 “Rookie of the Year” season. The last time Richard fought on the stage of the Collins Center, im September 2019, he scored a vicious slam knockout of Erik Tainter (0-2).  The slam has become a signature move for Richard over the course of his young career. He is a product of Nostos MMA of Somersworth, New Hampshire where he trains under UFC veteran and former NEF Professional Lightweight Champion Devin Powell (10-4).

“Devin can say whatever he wants about me winning my title ‘at the right time,’” said Richard. “He’s had his offers. He’s got it. Unluckily for him, he’s got the most motivated Zac there has ever been. I do predict this fight, obwohl, to be a great one.”

Speaking of slams, there may be no athlete who has ever delivered more highlight-reel slams in the NEF cage than the challenger Devin Corson. Like Richard, Corson brings a strong wrestling base with him to the MMA game, having been a standout competitor on the mats for Foxcroft Academy in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Corson is currently riding a two-fight win-streak with unanimous decision wins over both Jacob Deppmeyer (jetzt 1-0 wie ein Profi) and Taylor Bartlett (2-3-1) in 2019. He represents the Outlet based in Dexter, Maine.

“I don’t think much about Zac besides he is in my way,” stated Corson. “He’s the man I have to defeat to get the 155 belt. After all is said and done, I will be the one with my hand raised.”

CARLO, Monaco (März 14, 2017) – Die Panamerikanische Division der MMA-Weltmeisterschaften (WMMAA) hat offiziell die kürzlich erfolgte Aufnahme von Ecuador als neuestes Mitglied angekündigt.

“Wir wachsen weiter mit jedem neuen Land, um die MMA-Bewegung voranzutreiben und MMA als Sport anzuerkennen,” sagte, Tomas Yu, Präsident der Panamerikanischen Division der WMMA. “Ich bin seit langem ein Verfechter von MMA als Sport. Zu sehen, wie diese großartige Gruppe von Pionieren einen großartigen Kampf austrägt, ist zurück zu den Grundlagen und zu dem, was Martial Arts wirklich darstellt: Loyalität, Ehre, und Familie.”
Yu ernannt Gorki E.. Rodriguez als Präsident der WMMAA Ecuador. Hector Molina, Direktor des Regulierungsausschusses der panamerikanischen Abteilung WMMAA, wird bei der Bildung des WMMAA Ecuador Regulatory Committee eng mit Rodriguez zusammenarbeiten.
“MMA befindet sich in einer kritischen Zeit,” Rodriguez kommentierte. “Das explosive Wachstum des letzten Jahrzehnts hat MMA zum am schnellsten wachsenden Sport der Welt gemacht, fordern, dass eine Organisation wie unsere existiert und eine unvoreingenommene Struktur hinzugefügt wird, nicht nur für sportler, aber auch als Regulierungsbehörde.
“Seit der Gründung der WMMAA Ecuador passiert weiterhin viel. Wir werden alle unsere erste Teilnahme feiern, als Nationalmannschaft, dieses Jahr bei den Panamerikanischen Meisterschaften. Ich freue mich darauf, meine Erfahrung und das Wissensvolumen der panamerikanischen WMMAA-Division nach Ecuador zu nutzen. ZUR SOFORTIGEN VERÖFFENTLICHUNG: Lewiston, Maine (März 14, 2017) – New England Fights (NEF) präsentiert sein nächstes Mixed-Martial-Arts-Event “NEF 28: UNBESIEGBAR” am Samstag, April 29, 2017 am Androscoggin Banküber Colisee in Lewiston, Maine. Ricky Dexter (1-0) konfrontiert sein wird Keenan Raymond (3-3) bei einem Kampf Gewicht von 160-Pfund.

After a successful amateur career that saw him claim the NEF MMA Amateur Welterweight Title, Ricky Dexter made his pro debut last month at “NEF 27.” He was able to drop Matt Denning in the first round with a vicious body shot that had thousands in the Colisee cringing. Die Bangor, Maine native will make his first appearance as a member of Young’s MMA at “NEF 28,” having previously fought under the banner of Team Irish.

“Keenan Raymond is coming to my home turf, and I’m going to show him how tough we are up North,” Said Dexter. “I’m new to the pro ranks, but I’ve got the work ethic of a seasoned vet. I’ve got the strength of a middle weight and the cardio like the Diaz brothers and I’m always looking for the finish. Hungry for April 29th!”

Representing Southern New England will be Providence, Rhode Island’s Keenan Raymond. A longtime competitor on the New England MMA scene, Raymond will look to work off some cage rust as he has not fought since January 2016. He is by no means a one-dimensional fighter. Raymond has displayed a solid foundation in both striking and mat work throughout his career with finishes coming by way of knockout as well as submission. He currently trains at Ricardo Cavalcanti Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mayo Quanchi Judo and Wrestling.

“I’m sure Ricky’s a game opponent, but I can promise he’s never faced a force like me,” said Raymond. “I’m healthy and my versatility will finish this fight one way or another.”

Lewiston, Maine (Dezember 7, 2016) -Neu England Fights (NEF) kehrt zum Androscoggin Bank Colisee zurück Februar 11, 2017 with its next mixed-martial-arts event, “NEF 27: RESURGENCE.” Bereits heute Morgen, the fight promotion announced the addition of a professional contest to the card. Ras “Rasquatch” Hylton (0-0) machen sein Profidebüt gegen Mikrofon “Der Schnurrbart” Hansen (5-4) im Schwergewicht.

 

Hylton’s now-legendary rise through the ranks of the amateur heavyweight division in NEF is one of the major stories of 2016. At 6’6″ and towering over the top of the MMA cage, Hylton cuts an imposing figure. The only thing more impressive than Hylton’s size and appearance might be his athletic abilities. A prolific striker, Hylton finished all three of his opponents this year by either knockout or technical knockout.

 

“Rasquatch,” or as some fans call him “The Jamaican Shamrock,” really began to raise eyebrows with a highlight-reel head kick knockout of Matt Glover (1-1) letzten Frühling. Dann, letzten Monat auf “NEF 26,” Hylton pounded an extremely tough Kevin Smith (3-3) to a bloody pulp. A former Maine state heavyweight wrestling champion out of Mountain Valley High School, Mike Hansen has never shied away from taking a fight with someone bigger than him. Tatsächlich, Hansen, who also competes in the light-heavyweight and middleweight divisions, has gained a reputation as somewhat of a “giant killer.”
