RTS BOXING OF HOUSTON PRESENTS The RUMBLE IN HUMBLE on March 24th

RTS Boxing Will present a great night of boxing.

The main event features former WBC Continental Americas Super Middleweight Champion Alfonso “El Tigre” López (25-3, 20 Nocauts).

La 34 Year-old Lopez, of Cut and Shoot, Texas will take part in a six-round bout against an opponent to be named.

Lopez is a 10 any-professional, who was undefeated his first 21 extrems.

He has wins over former world title challenger Rubin Williams and Romaro Johnson (11-2-1)

In his highest profile bout, Lopez came up just short as he dropped a majority decision to former middleweight champion on May 7, 2011 in Las Vegas,

Lopez’s wife a nutritionist and personal trainer looks forward to seeing her husband in the ring and says he will be fighting this fight at 175 and will gradually come down to contend at the super middleweight division.

Lopez has won three straight bout, which includes his last outing when he stopped Lester Gonzalez in two rounds on May 9, 2015 a Houston.

The undercard will showcase Houston’s own sensational amateur fighter Luis Acosta, who will be making his pro debut as well as undefeated middleweight brothers Jonathan (9-0) and super featherweight Cristobal Morales (5-0).

Also appearing on the card will be middleweight Cameron Burroughs (2-1, 2 KOs) and pro debuting Robert Edmonds.

RTS BOXING is owned by Courtney Glaspie, who has served as a manager and fitness trainer for fighters. “Boxing has been a long love for me and I am looking forward to this challenge of continuing to make HOUSTON a big stage for BOXING,” said Glaspie.

The show will feature a loaded fight card with fun filled action and entertainment. The show is produced by RoRo Productions and matchmaker Lynn Collins

World Ranked Middleweight Antoine Douglas returns with a 5th round stoppage over Pablo Munguia in Charenton, Louisiana

Nutley, Nova Jersey (Març 14, 2017) – World ranked middleweight Antoine Douglas returned to action after a year layoff by stopping Pablo Munguia in the 5th round in a scheduled six-round bout in Charenton, Louisiana.

Douglas of Washington, D.C. was making his first start since March 5, 2016 got back in the win column.
La 24 year-old raised his mark to 20-1-1 amb 14 nocauts, and is ranked number-12 by the WBC,
Douglas is promoted by GH3 Promotions.
“This was a good way to comeback for Antoine,” said GH3 Promotions promoter Vito Mielnicki.
“We wanted to bring him back in March. Antoine has been fighting regularly since he was 11 anys d'edat,, so the layoff was needed and good. We moved him fast as he fought 21 vegades a 4 any. It was the first time that he was able to take a step back. Despite what happened in his fight with Khurtzsidze, we still believe is a future world champion. The fight with Khurtsidze was a learning experience for all of us, from he fighter to the trainers to me the promoter. This whole thing should be about Antoine Douglas and no one else. He is still just 24 years old and his best boxing is ahead of him. We will have him in a few more of these learning fights, and then look for him to be back knocking on a big fight by August.”
“We have a good team around him with his trainers Dennis Porter, Kevin Smalls and Kay Koroma. We just added Joseph Karoma as the strength and conditioning coach.”

CIUTAT DE NOVA YORK (Març 13, 2017) – World-class featherweight Joan “La Fira” Vásquez (18-1, 16 KOs) will put his world ratings on the line, Març 27 at home in an eight-round bout against undefeated Venezuelan prospect Maikol “La Perla” Maikin Beaumont (12-0-1, 7 KOs), at New Monte Bar in Santiago, República Dominicana.
The 22-year-old Vasquez is a former Interim World Boxing Council (CMB) campió súper ploma. A dangerous puncher who also boxes effectively, he is currently world rated by the World Boxing Association (AMB) at No. 13, així com No. 15 pel CMB.

LAS VEGAS–Rei Vargas walked into enemy territory and won the WBC Super Bantamweight title with a 12-round majority decision over Gavin McDonnell at Ice Hall in Hull, Anglaterra.

Luke Campbell took out Jairo Lopez in the 2nd round of their scheduled 10-round lightweight bout.

Campbell hurt Lopez in the 1st round with a right hand. Campbell was patient and then dropped and stopped Lopez with a right hand and the fight was over.

Campbell is 16-1. López és 21-7.

Tommy Coyle stopped Rakeem Noble in round three of their scheduled ten-round super lightweight bout.

Coyle hurt Noble with a right at the end of round two, and finished him with a booming right in round three, that sent Noble down. Noble got to his feet, Però l’àrbitre va aturar la lluita.

MONT-REAL (Febrer 20, 2017) – Una targeta completa amb un sabor internacional, de dalt a baix, s'ha anunciat per aquest divendres (Febrer. 24) nit de “BUTE VS ALVAREZ” gran esdeveniment al Centre Videotron de la ciutat de Quebec, Canadà.
Consell Mundial de Boxa (CMB) campió de pes semipesat Eleider “Tempesta” Alvarez (21-0, 10 KOs), defensa el seu títol contra l'antic campió mundial de pes súper mitjà Lucian Bute (32-3-1, 25 KOs) a l'esdeveniment principal de 12 rondes que també serveix com a eliminatòria final del CMB per determinar el desafiant obligatori per al CMB i el campió lineal de pes semipesat Adonis “Superhome” Stevenson (28-1-0, 23 KOs). Alvarez, que viu a Mont-real, va ser un olímpic colombià i Laval, Bute, resident al Canadà, és originària de Romania. Stevenson, Alvarez i Bute estan tots promoguts per GYM.

Una antiga Mancomunitat & Challenger al títol canadenc, Martel-Bahieli lluitarà a casa seva a la ciutat de Quebec. Braidwood, lluitant contra el colombià britànic, és un antic jugador de futbol de la Washington State University i de la Canadian Football League (CFL).
Pes superwelter popular del Quebec Sebastian Bouchard, 1 2007 Medalla de plata al Campionat del Canadà, s'enfronta al campió mexicà de pes superwelter Gustavo “Vitamines” Garibay (13-7-2, 5 KOs) en una baralla sense títol en vuit assalts.
Federació Internacional de Boxa (FIB) campió de pes mitjà Francis Lafreniere (14-5-2, 8 KOs), també lluitant fora del Quebec, defensa el seu combat de 10 rondes contra l'artista nocaut mexicà Uriel “Big Bang” González (15-1-1, 11 KOs). L'Organització de Boxa Nord-americana vacant (TAMBÉ) campionat també serà la línia del Lefreniere vs. Enfrontament de Willis.
En un parell de baralles fora del PPV, pes súper mitjà de Montreal invicte Dario Bredidean (11-0, 3 KOs) s'enfronta a un invasor mexicà Alejandro Torres (9-1-2, 4 KOs) en un partit de vuit assalts, mentre 2016 Olímpic de França cristià “El Sòlid” M'Billi (1-0, 1 KO) es mostra en una lluita de quatre rondes contra el pes súper mitjà mexicà Jesús Olivares (5-3, 3 KOs).

Ivan Baranchyk – Is he the next Arturo Gatti?

Miami, OKAY (Febrer 14, 2017) – El Divendres, Febrer 10, boxing fans were treated to a fight of the year candidate between junior welterweights Ivan “The Beast” Baranchyk of Brooklyn, NY and Arizona’s Abel Ramos. The bout took place at the Buffalo Run Casino in the main event of ShoBox: La Nova Generació. It was a significant fight for both combatants, with Baranchyk looking to move further up the ladder while Ramos hoped to become a player at 140 pounds by taking out his highly regarded foe.

 

When the matchup was announced, Baranchyk and Ramos were expected to put on an entertaining fight. What ultimately transpired however far exceeded expectations.

 

For ten rounds, Baranchyk and Ramos had the capacity crowd on their feet cheering on the incredible action. Both men hit the canvas and were badly hurt at different points of the fight, trading punches at a frenetic pace. They bled, brawled and left everything in the ring in a fight that was among the greatest in ShoBox’s 17 year history.

 

Els puntajes van ser 99-91, 97-92 i 97-93 for Baranchyk, que és 14-0 amb 10 nocauts. Ramos, whose stock went up tremendously in defeat, és 17-2-2 (12 Nocauts).

 

The CompuBox stats were similar to the first showdown between Arturo Gatti and Mickey Ward. Baranchyk and Ramos combined to land 664 total punches and 482 power shots. Gatti-Ward I saw a total of 618 connects with 521 being power punches.

 

“I believe this has to be the best fight in ShoBox history,” exclaimed Baranchyk’s promoter Tony Holden, who promotes him along with DiBella Entertainment and Fight Promotions Inc. “Ivan is a natural crowd pleaser. He has the biggest heart in boxing and incredible conditioning. Like we saw many times from the late, great Arturo Gatti, Ivan was hurt, bloodied and took a lot of punches but his will powered him to victory. I believe he could become the next Arturo Gatti but there’s still work to do.”

 

Lou DiBella, who promoted the aforementioned Ward, believes Baranchyk is boxing’s newest action star.

 

“We got stats from CompuBox and they were almost identical to Gatti-Ward 1 and Corrales-Castillo 1, two of the greatest fights in boxing history. Baranchyk and Ramos put on a fight for the ages and I think the comparison to Gatti-Ward is a good one. Ivan’s offensive mindedness and willingness to take and give punishment is reminiscent of Arturo Gatti. He’s already shown he can get a crowd behind him and that was proven by how quickly the fans in Miami, OK adopted him as if he were one of their own. I really think he can become the Belarusian Gatti.”
