WBC CARES AND FEET FIRST FOUNDATION UNITE

WE TEACH CHARACTER THROUGH THE ART OF TEXTBOOK BOXING
NEW YORK, NY (Říjen 19, 2020) - Feet First Foundation is pleased to announce a collaborative partnership with the “WBC Cares”organizace, a community outreach program formed by the World Boxing Rady v 2006. The two parties have teamed up to highlight the transformative power of boxing, and how textbook boxing training can help improve the lives of many students in schools across the world.

By partnering with the WBC Cares, the Feet First Foundation, who already has had over 10,000 students go through their program, now aims to extend its curriculum nationally as a supportive outlet for schools around the world. The Feet First Foundation has found success implementing a data-backed program that uses boxing exercise and group discussion to inspire strong character in these school children.
Founded in the state of California in 2017, the Feet First Foundation under the guidance of co-founders Dan Dorsett, Sean Sharkey, Zach Micheletti a Brandon Kregel, has improved the lives of thousands of students and adults. Along with promoting a healthy lifestyle that incorporates disciplined boxing exercise, the Feet First program also encourages group discussion topics around perseverance, accountability, and respect.


“It feels good to be working with a common goal of helping others through the art of boxing, and we are proud to team up with a first-class organization like the WBC Cares,” said co-founder Sean Sharkey. “Our goal is to incorporate this curriculum in schools all over the world and we believe our partnership with the WBC Cares will better broaden our mission for the betterment of students across the globe.”


The World Boxing Council has crowned an array of some of the most famous world champions, several of whom continue to be household names to this day. These include Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson,Julio Cesar Chavez, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, a Manny Pacquiao abychom jmenovali alespoň některé.

In keeping with the high standards established by this partnership, Feet First announces their new brand ambassador, undefeated Super Lightweight prospect Omar “El Relámpago” Juarez (9-0, 4 KO), a rising star fighting under the Premiere Boxing Champions (PBC) prapor. Omar has been contributing to his community in Brownsville, Texas since he was 16-years old through motivational speeches to over 35,000 students in more than 20 campuses. He is also the annual guest of honor at “A Night to Shine”, a prom styled event held for special needs children every March, sponsored by Brownsville’s “Down By The Border” and the nationally recognized “Tim Tebow Foundation".
Omar Juarez is an embodiment of the strong character that Feet First Foundation and WBC Cares seek to replicate around the world, and both organizations are looking forward to a future helping as many children as possible.
“I’m a huge fan of the WBC Cares program so its enlightening to be part of this movement with Feet First, as together I know we can help a lot of students.” said Juarez. “I believe this program will benefit society in many ways. I’m all in.”

Boxing For The World 5K Run a Success in Puerto Rico

Portoriko (Červenec 30, 2018)Last Sunday (22. července) v Caguas, Portoriko, Boxing For The World staged a 5K run, which served as a fundraiser for The Make A Wish Foundation of Puerto Rico facility . The facility (domácí) houses children with Cancer and other terminal illnesses. The facility sustained major damages due to Hurricane Maria .

 

 

 

The main sponsor was the WBC and their WBC Cares program.

 

 

 

No less than 20 of the greatest fighters in Puerto Rico took part in the walk such as:

Mercedes Simmons, who is a board member for Boxing For The World as well as the CEO of Pretty Girl Promotions was ecstatic about the turnout for the great event.

 

 

 

We are so happy that the legends of Puerto Rico boxing came out to support this very important cause. The building is vital for those children in need, and we are on our way to rehabbing the facility after the terrible damage it sustained during the hurricane. The WBC really came through, and really was a huge help to this fundraiser.said Simmons.

 

 

 

WBC did a great thing. I informed them that Daniel Alicea’s WBC Continental belt and NABF belt were stolen from him house while he was undergoing chemotherapy. When I approached Mauricio Sulaiman and Jill Diamond from the WBC, without hesitation they agreed to redo the belts and also sponsor the 5k

 

 

 

 

The first edition of Boxing for the World 5k, a project of I am Working for the World Foundation exceeded our expectations,” said Abner DiSilva, President of I’m Working for the World Foundation. “For the first time in Puerto Rico’s history we were able to unite boxing legends under one roof for a great cause . These boxing icons changed their boxing gloves for sneakers and ran/walked to help those in need. This is the beginning of our new model, to maximize their reach to bring awareness to humanitarian needs not only in the island but in the entire world. Everyone should do their part, not just with words but with actions. We’re grateful for overwhelming support and we hope more Athletes and people join our movement. We’ve already received calls inquiring about our next event and for that we are grateful.

Diamond prosazuje ženy v boxu od chvíle, kdy poprvé vešla do boxerské tělocvičny 2005. Původně se připojila k posilovně, aby zvýšila svou náladu po smrti svého manžela, ale rychle bylo jasné, že našla své poslání ve vyvyšování žen v ringu i mimo něj, ve sportu, kterému dlouho dominovali muži. Poté, co si uvědomila, že málokdy slyšela o soutěžích boxerek, Diamond oslovil tehdejšího prezidenta WBC, José Suliaman, ptát se, proč nebyly žádné ženské šampionky v boxu. Diamond byl překvapen, když obdržel pozvání od Suliamana na letošní kongres WBC ve Španělsku, a byl ještě více překvapen, když se to dozvěděl, při jejím příchodu, že byla jmenována v programu úmluvy jako členka výboru mistrovství žen. Ve stejném roce, Profil WBC se začal zvedat, a schválilo to úplně první zápas ženského šampionátu. Další sankční orgány jej následovaly. Byl to jen začátek toho, co bylo víc než a 20 roční působení ve sportu pro Diamond.
“Je to ohromná pocta,” řekl Diamond o tom, že má dostat cenu Raging Babe Luminary Award. “Je to také skutečný smích, protože události, jako je tato, ukazují, jak daleko ženy v boxu došly. Když jsem začal pracovat v boxu 2005, v podniku nebylo mnoho žen. V jakémkoli odvětví, když je koláč tak malý, lidé bojují o drobky. Skutečnost, že takové události existují, a že ženy se nyní navzájem podporují a otevírají dveře, ukazuje, jak moc se role žen v boxu vyvíjely.” Diamond pokračoval, “Být poctěn jinými ženami pro mě znamená celý svět. Hřeje mě to u srdce.”
“Je to taková čest, že Jill souhlasila s tím, že bude oceněna na letošním brunchi,” řekla zakladatelka Raging Babe Michelle Rosado. “Svůj život zasvětila boxu, a konkrétně podporovat zájmy žen v boxu, a věnovala se službě druhým. Ve své vášni skutečně prospívá, a celý box je pro to lepší. Jde tak skvělým příkladem pro ženy a muže, kteří vstupují do podnikání. Jsem velmi rád, že ji poctím 16. září.”
Výtěžek z brunche, který se bude konat v Mandalay Bay’s Border Grill, bude přínosem pro Prichard Colon Foundation, která pomáhá pokrýt přemrštěné náklady na zdravotní péči a pojištění pro mladého bojovníka, který utrpěl poranění mozku 2015. 50-YEAR OLD “BRONCO” BILLY WRIGHT COMPLETES 500 MILE TREK FOR CHARITY

 

LAS VEGAS, NV (Duben 22, 2015) – After trekking a remarkable 500 miles from Las Vegas, Nevada to Phoenix, Arizona, 50-year heavyweight contender (WBC #17), Bronco Billy Wright (47-4, 38 KO), has a message to send to the boxing community and the heavyweight division.

 

I did this 500 mileTrek for Cures”, Run, Walk and Ride to help raise money for charities that are close to my heart,” řekl Bronco Billy Wright. “In addition I wanted to send a message to the heavyweight division, letting everyone rated in the WBC top 15 know that I’m a serious athlete coming for their rankings. My next fight will be announced shortly, and my goal is to take out everyone in my path. I don’t think there is a heavyweight out there that can handle my power. I humbly want to thank the WBC Cares and everyone who supported me during this journey.

 

The trek ended at the Central Boxing Club in downtown Phoenix, where Bronco Billy was greeted by its members, which included undefeated super-lightweight Jose Benavidez Jr. (22-0, 15 KO) mimo jiné.

 

The fighters and coaches at the Central Boxing Club were gracious enough to let me end my trek at their gym and it was fantastic.” Bronco Billy Wright pokračuje. “There were some local TV cameras there to talk about my story. It was a great success and I’m ready to begin my march toward the heavyweight championship of the world.

 

Billy currently holds the WBC LATIN AMERICAN, FECARBOX , and United States (USNBC) Stříbrné tituly. Right now Bronco Billy is riding a 18-fight knockout streak, 14 of which came by first round KO. With a few more first round knockouts he’ll break Shannon Briggs world record. Look for Bronco Billy to make his return to the ring this summer.
