CHELYABINSK, Rusia (Iunie 1, 2018) – Brazilian middleweight Bruno Silva shocked Alexander Shlemenko with an opening round stoppage to set-up a potential showdown with M-1 Challenge champion Artiom Frolov, who defeated American challenger Joe “Diesel” Riggs earlier this evening (Vineri) la M-1 Challenge 93 în Chelyabinsk, Rusia.
To say the least, Silva (18-6-0) was impressive in his M-1 Global debut, knocking out the former Bellator champion Shlemenko (56-11-1), la 2:54 din primul tur de scrutin. Shlemenko (53-9-0, M-1: 4-0-0) s-a calificat pentru finala M-1 Grand Prix la categoria mijlocie, la fel ca și campionul în curs la categoria mijlocie M-1 Challenge Ramadan Emeev (14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0). Emeev (14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0), fighting out of Russia by way of Dagestan, is the reigning M-1 Challenge middleweight champion, although his title belt will not be at stake against Shlemenko. The 28-year-old Emeev, care a fost 2015 M-1 Global Fighter of the Year, is a two-time M-1 Challenge middleweight champion. MOSCOVA (Februarie 29, 2016) – M-1 Global has announced its M-1 Challenge 64bonus performances, highlighted by co-Fight of the Night awards, along with KO of the Night and Submission of the Night.
Veteran Russian fighter Alexander Shlemenklo (52-9-0), a three-time Bellator champion, won a close unanimous decision over former 2-division M-1 Challenge division Vyacheslav Vasilevski (28-3-0), de Rusia, in their M-1 Global Grand Prix Middleweight Tournament co-Fight of the Night match (poza de mai jos).
