DEDHAM, Masă. (Octombrie 13, 2021) – The second “Fight Night,” a charity boxing event presented by Punch4Parkinsons, will be held Saturday night, Octombrie 23rd, at Moseley’s On The Charles in Dedham, Massachusetts.

Regular people, not professional or amateur boxers, will lace-up their gloves to support Punch4Parkinsons’ fight against Parkinson’s disease. A memorable night will include numerous boxing exhibitions, each a scheduled 3-round (1:30 per round) match.

“Through our charity ‘Fight Night’ we are able to support local boxing gyms with rock steady programs,” Punch4Parkinsons founder/president Ryan Roach explained, “as well as one-on-one and small group boxing lessons. We cover 100-percent of Parkinson’s fighters’ gym memberships. We now have more than 100 Parkinson’s fighters, mostly in New England, but we do have some fighters in Florida and Texas.
“One of our fighters recently went to the doctor and she had dropped 20 points on the Parkinson’s scale. She attributes this to the boxing we provide her three times a week.”

Last year’s “Fight Night” charity event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“ÎNVĂMĂM CARACTERUL PRIN ARTA BOGIULUI CU MANUAL”

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Mai 5, 2020) – Perspectivă super welter neînvinsăLamont “Cel Binecuvântat” Powell, bazat pe o experiență aproape de moarte de acum 2 ani și jumătate în Providence, putea avea cu ușurință “Norocos” ca porecla lui.
 
Powell, în vârstă de 26 de ani, a fost de trei ori campion la mănuși de argint, care a compilat a 45-4 Rezultatele amatori, înainte de a împlini acum doi ani. Doar stăteam într-o mașină, când doi copii au coborât dintr-o mașină și au început să ne împuște mașina. Aveau clipuri extinse, dar nu știu cine erau, și nici poliția până în ziua de azi. Unchiul meu a fost dus la spital și a trebuit să încep să mă privesc mai atent.”

Natural, după experienţa lui suprarealistă, Powell și-a schimbat dramatic stilul de viață. În loc să alerge pe străzi și să ajungă ca mulți oameni pe care îi cunoștea, mort sau încarcerat, Powell s-a dedicat boxului și a creat o organizație de caritate pentru copiii cu risc ridicat, Mănuși Sus, Guns Down, sponsorizat de Academia de box Big Six din Providence, unde se antrenează cu bunicul său ca antrenor principal, precum și având fosta S.U.A. boxer olimpicJason “Big Six” Rutier în colțul lui.

Am fost impresionat pentru că Lamont avea un loc de muncă cu normă întreagă, încă, se antrenează atât de greu. Am aflat că el a venit dintr-una dintre cele mai grele zone din Providence și a alergat pe străzi când era copil. Intr-o zi, a sunat și a întrebat dacă aș merge cu el la Școala Met, unde urma să vorbească despre 150 copii și profesori. A vorbit despre alergatul pe străzi și a recunoscut că a făcut totul. Mi-a spus că dacă ar putea influența viața unuia sau a doi dintre acești copii, s-ar simți fericit, și asta mi-a adus lacrimi în ochi. Urma să vorbească la alte școli, dar această pandemie a pus asta în așteptare pentru moment. Programul lui este nr. 1 in viata lui, ajutând copiii expuși riscului, astfel încât să nu repete ceea ce a făcut Lamont când era mai mic.”
 
In inelul, Powell afișează un jab rigid și, desigur, condiționare extraordinară. Și ca majoritatea boxerilor, el crede că va fi un campion într-o zi.
 
“Totul merge conform planului cu CES,” a concluzionat Powell. “Bunicul meu este antrenorul meu din prima zi, Jason mă antrenează și el, și Doc. Estrada este consilierul meu. Boxul mi-a venit firesc. Trebuia doar să depun o muncă grea. Într-o zi voi fi campion și abia aștept să-l văd pe bunicul meu în ring ținând centura deasupra capului, pentru că nimeni nu merită asta mai mult decât el.”
 
Burchfield este un promotor de box de aproape 30 an, și el este de acord că Powell va fi campion într-o zi. “El are cu siguranță misiunea de a fi campion,” a adăugat Burchfield, și are tot ce trebuie pentru ca asta să se întâmple. During Proper No. Twelve’s launch in late 2018, founder McGregor and his partners pledged that the whiskey company would donate $5 for every case of Proper No. Twelve sold until donations reached $1 million annually to first responder organizations around the world. Thanks to the tremendous love and support for the brand as well as the high-quality liquid, Proper No. Twelve has become a bartender and consumer favourite, setting sales records for the industry. Proper No. Twelve has sold approximately 200,000 9-liter cases in America and, based on the $5 per case donation the company will donate $1 million dollars in the United States.



The company is proud to announce it has selected the New York-headquartered Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to receive this $1 million donation for the United States. The donation will go towards paying off the mortgages for families of law enforcement officers and firefighters across the country, who were killed in the line of duty and left behind young children. Tunnel to Towers has a score of 100 for Accountability & Transparency on Charity Navigator. Additional donations will be announced in March and April for first responder organizations in Ireland, Canada, Marea Britanie, Australia, Rusia, Poland and South Africa.

IRVING, TX (Februarie 25, 2020) — Lone Star State-based non-profit organization Ring of Hope returns for a resounding night of sanctioned professional boxing when it presents its ninth annual “Night To Fight” pro boxing and charity event on Saturday, Martie 7 at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas.


The main event will present an 8 round light heavyweight attraction between two battle-tested warriors when Dallas-Fort Worth born-and-bred boxer Samuel Clarkson (22-5, 15 KO) challenges the Freddie Roach-trained Israel Duffus (19-6, 16 KO).


The marquee match of the night will culminate to serve as the major fundraising event to help support the Ring of Hope boxing program. Local talent and 18-year-old standout Tristan Kalkreuth (4-0, 3 KO), who last year inked a deal with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, will continue his climb up the ranks in a separate fight as well. Kalkreuth was born in Carrollton and is a resident of Duncanville. He’s trained by renowned coach Ronnie Shields, and has a decorated amateur background, where he participated in over 100 lupte, earned two National Championships and fought for the USA Boxing Team in the World Championships in 2018.

The WBO Kids Drug Free Program Continues To Impact Puerto Rican Children

In a festive family atmosphere, Organizația Mondială de Box (WBO), through its successful WBO Kids Drug Free program, delivered bicycles, school supplies and sporting goods to the children of Cubuy in the town of Canóvanas, Puerto Rico.

The event was led by the WBO President Francisco ‘Paco’ Valcárcel, Esq, coach Jesús ‘Chuito’ Ayala, and referee José H. Rivera.

“Every day we work with children to be world champions in the ring or, more importantly, in life. We work to be disciplined for life. We thank the WBO for helping in this process with their activities for the children, who are the future”, said coach Ayala.

WBO President Valcárcel told everyone present that “the work everyone is doing here is tremendous. Thanks to people like ‘Chuito’, who work very hard and unselfishly for the benefit of the children, that are our priority. Here we give them some gifts they can take home because they behaved well. If they respect their elders, behave well, and respect their parents, the Three Kings will arrive”.

Participating in the event were interim Latino WBO Heavyweight champion Víctor Bisbal, WBO Latino Jr. Welterweight champion Jean Carlos “Lobo” Torres, WBO/NABO Jr. Flyweight champion Wilfredo “Bimbito” Méndez, WBO Latino Jr. Bantamweight Champion Yenifel Vicente, and WBO Latino Featherweight Champion Luis “Popeye” Lebrón. Other boxers who were present included Alberto Mercado and David Reyes and amateur boxer Armani “The Legacy” Alméstica.

Also in the event were managers Raúl Pastrana, Margaro Cruz and José Ortíz; coaches Jesís “Tongui” Ortiz, Yoel “Yowy” González, and Oro Lebrón. The referee Roberto Ramírez,Jr., physical trainer and nutritionist DJ, and the Vice President of Spartan Boxing Club Mayra Pastrana also attended the event. Pentru WBO, Executive Director of the NABO / Intercontinental Diana Meléndez, the Treasurer Adolfo Flores, Vice-Chairman of the Championship Committee Enrique Mendoza, Esq, and Ratings Committee Chairman Edgardo López Sasso were present.

WBO Kids Drug Free is an international program aimed at children and young people in order to carry a message of drug prevention and motivate them to continue studying, using sports as a tool to stay on the right path, as well that support causes directed to those in need in order to ensure a better quality of life.

PONCE, Puerto Rico – Într-o activitate emoționantă și aglomerată de Crăciun, Organizația Mondială de Box (WBO) și președintele său Francisco “Paco” Valcárcel, însoţit de foşti campioni mondiali, perspective, WBO World Jr. Campionul la greutatea mușcă Ángel Acosta, campioni regionali, iar alte figuri ale sportului au livrat cadouri copiilor la Centrul Sor Isolina Ferré din Ponce, ca parte a programului mondial de succes „WBO Kids Drug Free”..

O soră emoționată Mildred Vázquez, Director spiritual al centrelor din Puerto Rico, a spus: “WBO și Paco Valcárcel s-au angajat cu noi de aproape 20 ani.Sunt multe cadouri care vor fi distribuite celorlalte centre pe care le avem în Puerto Rico. Din prima zi, care a fost cu mult timp în urmă, Îmi amintesc că Paco ne-a spus că WBO nu ne va uita niciodată. Fapta lui este foarte importantă pentru noi toți. Nu vom uita niciodată marele ajutor pe care ni l-ai acordat, apoi uraganul María ne-a lovit puternic; suntem foarte recunoscători”.

“Respectul pentru scoala, respect pentru biserică, respect pentru tații și mamele lor, respect pentru bătrâni și respect pentru semenii lor. Respectul este cel mai important prioritate în viață a spus Mântuitorul nostru”, Valcárcel exprimat la numărul mare a copiilor prezenți. “Sora Sor Isolina a știut mereu să înmulțească pește și pâine. Ea a fost trimisă de la Dumnezeu. Ei pot conta pe noi în fiecare an, cel angajamentul va continua, și îi iubim foarte mult”.

Campionul mondial Ángel “Tito” Acosta a spus: “Mulți copii au plecat fericiți de cadourile și bicicletele lor. Întotdeauna le spun tinerilor că trebuie să plece de pe străzi pentru a se concentra pe studii”.

La activitate au participat Acosta, fostul baschetbalist profesionist Javier “Toñito” Colon, Campionul latino WBO la greutate pană Luis”Popeye” Lebron, Campionul interimar latino grea WBO Víctor Bisbal, fostul campion mondial Samuel Serrano, Alex “Copilul” Sánchez și Ángel “Cholo” Espada, împreună cu boxerii Alfredo “Salseroul” Cross, Jean M. Rivera, Edwin “Bărbie” Valentin, și boxerul amator Bryan Rodríguez.

La eveniment au fost și managerii de box, Margaro Cruz, îl antrenează pe Isus “Tongui” Ortiz, Angel Vargas, Yoel “Vai” González, și Félix Pagán Pintor, arbitrii José Hiram Rivera și Ramón Peña; judecător profesionist de box César Ramos. Pentru WBO, altul decât Valcárcel, consilier juridic Gustavo Olivieri, Trezorierul WBO Adolfo Flores, și Edgardo López Sasso, Președintele Comitetului de Evaluare WBO, au fost de asemenea prezenți.
