USA Boxing Elite National Championships
December. 5-9 in Salt Lake City, Utah
COLORADO SPRINGS, Lap. (December 5, 2017) – The fledgling USA Boxing Alumni Association will host a gala reception denna fredag natt (Dec.) 8, highlighted by the induction of the inaugural class of the USA Boxing Alumni Hall of Fame, at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown in Salk Lake City, Utah.
The reception is being held in conjunction with the 2017 USA Boxing Elite och Ungdom nationella mästerskap och Junior och Prep Open, December. 5-9, also held in Salt Lake City.

The late Ali is the lone three-time lineal world heavyweight champion of all-time, who as an amateur (known then as Cassius Clay), fångade en guldmedalj på 1960 Olympics in Rome.
Holyfield was the first and remains the only undisputed cruiserweight and heavyweight world champion. På 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, Holyfield won a bronze medal as a light heavyweight, after a he suffered a questionable disqualification in his semifinals match. EN 1993 USA Boxing Hall of Fame inductee, Roosevelt coached the U.S. Marines boxing team in 1975-1978 och 1988-2000. He also served as assistant coach on the USA Olympic boxing teams in 1984 och 1992.
Coulter has been a boxing coach for more than 62 år, continuing to conduct boxing clinics today around the glove. In addition to coaching the iconic 1988 USA Olympic boxing team, which captured eight individual medals, he was a consultant for the 1996 squad that won 14 meals. A national boxing champion at Syracuse University, Coulter also coaches the U.S. Army Boxing Team.
International Boxing Hall of Fame Al Bernstein will serve as Master of ceremonies for Fredagens händelse. “USA Boxing makes a positive difference in the lives of thousands and thousands of young people ion a daily basis,” the voice of Showtime Boxing said,” and I am so honored to serve as emcee for the inaugural USA Boxing Alumni Association Hall of Fame Reception. Field set for 2017 USA Boxing Women’s Elite National Championships

December. 5-9 in Salt Lake City, Utah
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO (November 30, 2017) – Team USA women’s boxing hopefuls will be competing in the prestigious USA Women’s Elite National Championships, December 5-9, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This year’s field is stacked with talent, Inklusive 2016 Olympic Trials Champion Virginia Fuchs (Kemah, Texas), who will be looking to close out an impressive 2017 year that included four international titles and an undefeated 16-0 post, and two-time World Champion and 2014 Youth Olympic Champion Jajaira Gonzalez (Fontän, Colo.)
Other top contenders include featherweight Christina Cruz (New York, N.Y.), lätta Rashida Ellis (Lynn, MA), as well as middleweight Naomi Graham (Colorado Springs, CO) och weltervikt Oshae Jones (Toledo, Ohio)
Following a year of highly-competitive national events, the best U.S. female amateur boxers are set to compete in the 2017 USA Boxing Elite National Championship. With up to six spots in each division already secured, based on the results of the 2016 Elite SM, 2017 Elite Western Qualifier and 2017 Elite Eastern Qualifier, the remaining spots have been filled based on the wild-card application process to complete the field of elite boxers.

Citlalli Ortiz vinner weltervikt Youth VM titel

Isamary Aquino tar hem Bronsmedalj

Guwahati, Indien (November 26, 2017) — Coachella, California-native Citlalli Ortiz avvecklas hennes imponerande 2017 Kvinnor ungdom VM kampanj med en seger delad beslut över Rysslands Nataliya Sychugova att ta sin första stora internationella titel i Guwahati, Indien.

Citlalli Ortiz Grabs First Win of Women’s Youth World Championships

Team USA finishes 1-1 on second day; six Americans to enter ring today
Guwahati, Indien (November. 21, 2017) — Day two of the 2017 Women’s Youth World Championships in Guwahati, India brought two members of Team USA into the ring looking to advance one step closer to a world title.
Weltervikt Citlalli Ortiz (Coachella, Calif.) grabbed Team USA’s first win of the championships with a split decision victory over Nadezhda Ryabets of Kazakhstan. She will return to the ring on Onsdag, November. 22 for a quarterfinals match-up against
The second American in today’s field, mellanvikt Sharahya Moreu (Albuquerque, N.M.), fell short of taking the judges card over Russian Anastasiia Shamonova.
I morgon the remaining six members of Team USA will make their tournament debut, Inklusive 2015 Junior World Champion Heaven Garcia (Mt., Calif.) The other five boxers will all be making their international debuts.
Huvudtränare billy Walsh (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Koroma (Colorado Springs, Colo.) och Jeff Mays (San Antonio, Texas) are guiding the American delegation in India. This year’s tournament has brought 160 boxare från 31 different countries looking to take one of the ten World titles up for grabs.

USA Boxing Alumni Association Open for Registration

COLORADO SPRINGS, Lap. (November 2, 2017). – The newly created USA Boxing Alumni Association registration is officially open for those interested in becoming members.
The Alumni Association, which was created to champion a lifelong, ömsesidigt gynnsamma relationer mellan USA boxning och dess alumner, including boxers, tjänstemän, tränare och boxning fans, will help connect generations of champions, as well as help inspire and give back to USA Boxing’s future boxing champions inside and outside the ring.

Open to anyone possessing a love for the sport and looking to stay connected with amateur boxing, the Alumni Association members are granted access to a variety of special events that will be hosted by the Alumni Association, including the first annual USA boxing Alumni Association Hall of Fame reception.
The reception, which will honor and celebrate the five inaugural members of the Alumni Association Hall of Fame, will be held on December 8 in Salt Lake City in conjunction with the 2017 USA Boxing Elite and Youth National Championships & Junior and Prep Open. The five inductees include:

Houston’s Historic George Foreman Youth and Community Center to Host 2016 Gulf Boxing Association Regional Championships

Premier eventGulf LBC selects team to travel to USA BOXING Elite National Championships in conjunction with the Selection and Announcement of the First Inaugural George Foreman Youth and Community Center Elite International Travel Team!!
HOUSTON, TX (Oktober 10, 2016) -Starting with the ring of the bell on 22 oktober, local area boxers will be fighting for a spot to represent the Gulf Coast Region vid USA Boxning SM & i International Travel.
Weight categories will include: Pee Wee 8-9, Bantam 10-11, Intermediate 12-13, Juniors 14-15, Youth 15-16, & Elite 18-40 in both Open and Novice divisions. Winners will represent the Gulf area at the 2016 USA Boxing Elite, Youth and Junior National Championships to be held in Kansas City Missouri December 4-10, 2016. This tournament is a sanctioned event through USA Boxing the National Governing Body of Amateur Boxing and is a feeder to National and Olympic recognition.
Den George Foreman Youth and Community Center was founded 32 years ago in 1984 by Olympic Gold Medalist and 2-time heavy weight champion George Foreman. The GFYCC is dedicated to providing a safe and secure location for youth to participate in sports and after school activities.
This year for the first time in Houston boxing history, we are developing an elite international youth boxing team,” said George Foreman, IV. “The team will be selected for the sole purpose of training and traveling to other countries to gain experience on an international platform and promote cultural diplomacy! Utilizing grant and donor funding this team will be representing the George Foreman Youth and Community Center and will be announced Saturday October 22, at the Gulf Region’s Boxing Championship. The team will be reviewed by my father, 1968 Olympic Gold Medalist and 2-Time Heavyweight Champion, George Foreman Sr. The first international trip for this new Houston team is scheduled for Jan. 2017.”
Doors open for the Gulf Gloves Championships on Saturday October 22nd at 11:00 är with announcements and the presentation of the colors by the United States Army Houston Recruiting Command Baytown Beaumont Company at 12:45 pm. BOSTON (Oktober. 21, 2015) — USA Boxing New England, etablerad i 1880 som av fi ciella styrande organ för amatörboxning i regionen, kommer att hedra fem tidigare amatör standouts, som gick på att bli världsmästare som proffsboxare, Söndag, November 8 på Anthonys i Malden.
Vinny Paz (Cranston, RI), Micky Ward (Lowell, MA), Joey Gamache (Lewiston, MIG), Jose Antonio Rivera (Worcester, MA) och John Ruiz (Chelsea, MA) kommer att få utmärkelser för sina enastående prestationer i en värld av boxning.
USA Boxing New England kommer också att presentera sitt konstituerande Skeets Scioli Lifetime Achievement Award. Scioli tjänstgjorde som VD för USA Boxing New England, av och på, under en ikonisk 70-årsperioden. Han avled 2010 vid en ålder av 97.
Den Skeets Scioli Priset delas ut till domare / domare Mike Ryan (Tyngsboro, MA) and coach Carlos Garcia (Worcester, MA) för sin långa tid bidrag till sporten amatörboxning.
Al Bernstein, Showtime Championship Boxing kommentator och International Boxing Hall of Fame, kommer att fungera som händelse emcee. “Detta är en hyllning till några av boxning bästa,” Bernstein sa. “New England har spelat en viktig roll i boxning, inte bara här i Amerika, men globalt. Jag är stolta över att delta i denna händelse och jag ser fram emot att ansluta med boxning fans i regionen.”
USA Boxing kommer också att hylla nuvarande idrottare och medlemmar. Evenemanget är en insamling för att hjälpa unga amatöridrottare med resekostnader till regionala och nationella tävlingar.
