TROIS-RIVIÈRES, Canada (Mars 4, 2022) – Like so many fellow brave Ukrainians, Serhii “El Flaco” Bohachuk (20-1, 20 KOs) has returned home in defense of his country fighting alongside his compatriots against the Russian invasion, which has forced his withdrawal from a scheduled March 25e showdown with Canadian super welterweight Mikaël Zewski (35-2, 23 KOs).

Vidéotron Coliseum in Trois-Rivières, Canada, will host its inaugural professional boxing event, à partir de 7 p.m. ET, which is presented by Mise-O-Jeu, co-promoted by a Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM) with Probellum, and in collaboration with Deacon Sports and Entertainment Ltd.

Bohachuk joins other Ukrainian fighters who have joined the fight such as retired former world heavyweight champions Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko, as well as reigning World unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and 3-time, 3-division World title holder Vasiliy Lomachenko.

Zewski, a former IBF North American and WBO NABO welterweight champion, is fighting at super welterweight for only the second time. His new opponent in the 10-round main event for the WBC Continental Americas Super Welterweight Championship is former world title challenger Carlos “Chema” Ocampo Manriquez (32-1, 20 KOs), du Mexique, whose lone pro loss was in 2018 to IBF Welterweight World Champion Errol Spence, Jr.

Fighting out of Toronto, Biyarslanov represented Canada in the 2016 Jeux Olympiques. Verdugo is unbeaten in his last 6 fights with 5 victoires et 1 dessiner.

Undefeated Irish super lightweight prospect Joseph “Mighty” Ward (6-1, 3 KOs) is scheduled to fight an opponent to named in a 4-round match. Ward is a 3-time European amateur champion, in addition to representing Ireland in the 2016 Jeux olympiques.

Highly decorated Brazilian middleweight Herbert Caravalho Sousa will make his pro debut in a 4-rounder vs. TBA. The 23-year-old Sousa was a gold medal winner at the 2020 Olympiques et 2019 Championnats du monde.

Former Canadian National amateur champion Sebastien Bouchard (19-2, 8 KOs) meets Ricardo
“Riky” Lara (22-9, 10 KOs), du Mexique, in an intriguing 10-round bout. The popular Bouchard has been victorious in 10 de son dernier 11 combats.

WBO #7 et IBF #8 Poids coq Nikolai Potapov reviendra sur le ring la veille de Noël, Décembre 24, au Palais des sports des ailes soviétiques à Moscou, Russie, affrontera le candidat ukrainien Oleksandr Hryshchuk.

Potapov (21-2-1, 11 KOs), de Podolsk, Russie, résidant maintenant à Brooklyn, fera face à Hryshchuk (16-2-1, 6 KOs) de Bilytske, Ukraine, dans le cadre d'un événement mammouth de 19 combats présenté par Shamo Boxing.

30-Potapov, âgé d'un an, a été vu pour la dernière fois remporter une victoire en DQ sur le vétéran tanzanien Nasibu Ramadhani en cinq tours en novembre dernier.. Avant ça, il a subi une perte de décision extrêmement controversée face à son compatriote Joshua Greer en juillet. Hryshchuk n'est pas un adversaire de passage, comme le dur ukrainien a déjà tenu et défendu le championnat WBA Intercontinental Flyweight.

Ukrainian Korean Puncher Arnold Khegai Sets His Sights on WBO Champ Isaac Dogboe

Based on his performance this past weekend, it would be understandable for most of the world’s 122-lb fighters to want to avoid UK-based WBO Super Bantamweight Champion Isaac Dogboe… Not Arnold Khegai.

 

 

 

Khegai, l'ethnie coréenne, Ukrainian-born #12-rated WBO contender, is calling out Dogboe.

 

 

 

“I feel I am the best super bantamweight in the world!” said the confident Khegai. “I want to prove my point by fighting the most avoided fighters in the division. Bring on Dogboe!"

 

 

 

Last Saturday night at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Californie, the undefeated Dogboe (20-0, 14 KOs) scored an eye-opening TKO 1 over challenger Hidenori Otake of Japan. Dogboe looked to be a serious force while dominating his foe and dropping him twice with relative ease.
