Emeev (14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0), fighting out of Russia by way of Dagestan, is the reigning M-1 Challenge middleweight champion, although his title belt will not be at stake against Shlemenko. The 28-year-old Emeev, wie was de 2015 M-1 Global Fighter of the Year, is a two-time M-1 Challenge middleweight champion. He originally captured the coveted crown in 2012, het nemen van een beslissing van Mario Miranda voor de vacante titel. In zijn eerste titel verdediging, Emeev lost to Vyacheslav Vasilevsky, who stopped the defending champion via punches in the fourth round.
In their much anticipated rematch April 10, 2015, Emeev recaptured the title from Vasilevsky, choking the defending champion into an opening-round submission. In december vorig jaar, Emeev successfully defended his title when Luigi Fiorvanti retired after four rounds. Earlier this month at M-1 Challenge 65, Emeev defeated Maiquel Falcao in the M-1 Grand Prix semifinals, by way of a first-round submission (choke – zie onderstaande afbeelding), to qualify for the final versus Shlemenko.
The 31-year-old Shlemenko (52-9-0, M-1: 3-0-0) is a three-time Bellator champion from Omsk, Rusland. He returned to M-1 Global competition in February, taking a decision from Vasilevsky (zie onderstaande afbeelding) bij M-1 Challenge 64. The Siberian-born Shlemenko hadn’t competed in M-1 Global since 2005.
Volkov (25-6-0, M-1: 9-3-0), 27, also fought in Bellator for three years, 2012 naar 2015, returning to M-1 Global action this past February for the first time in 5 ½ jaar. The popular fighter from Moscow signed a promotional contract with M-1 Global, vechten Denis smoldaraev Februari. 19, 2016 (zie onderstaande afbeelding) bij M-1 Challenge 64 voor de vacante M-1 Challenge zwaargewicht kampioenschap. Volkov emerged victorious, using a choke in the third round to win with the Submission of the Night.
Vegh (29-6-2, M-1: 0-0-0), will make his M-1 Global debut versus Volkov in their M-1 Challenge title fight. Fighting out of Slovakia by way of his native Czechoslovakia, Vegh (hieronder afgebeeld) is a former Bellator light heavyweight champion who is moving up one weight class to challenge Volkov.

Abdulaev vs. Kunchenko replaces the rescheduled M-1 Challenge lightweight championship bout between defending champion Mansour “Tarzan” Barnaoui en uitdager Artem Damkovsky due to injuries suffered by both fighters during training camp.
M-1 Global has also announced an M-1 Challenge 65 match between former M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Maxim Divinich en M-1 Global debuteert Robert Turnquest.
Mad Integrity Fight Sports returns with “Bombs Away 5” April 2!
Tampa, FL (Maart 3, 2016) – Joey Orduna’s Mad Integrity Fight Sports returns to the beautiful Hilton Bayfront Hotel in St. Petersburg, FL for “Bombs Away 5: Turf Wars” Zaterdag, April 2.
Tickets vanaf $35 zijn nu te koop door te bellen naar 813-507-5110.
Returning to St. Pete’s for the first time in nearly three years, Mad Integrity Fight Sports ran two highly successful cards at the Hilton Bayfront which featured future TV fighters Amos Cowart and Clarence Booth.
Headlining the card is an eight round Sunshine State showdown between popular welterweight Ali Tareh of Tampa and Jacksonville’s Juan Aguirre. Tareh, who has fought all but three of his professional bouts in Florida, has a 13-11-5 ledger with 5 wint door knock-out. The owner of Fight Fitness Center in nearby Pinellas Park, Tareh has won four of his last six bouts but is coming off a decision loss to Javier Garcia last July. Originally from Guatemala, Aguirre has a reputation for his fearlessness and incredible durability. In zijn meest recente strijd, Aguirre extended unbeaten prospect Armando Alvarez the distance while making him work from bell to bell.
Talented featherweight Jose “Lil Pacquiao” Resendez, 4-0 (2 KO's), of Brandon, FL returns to the ring against crafty Cuban Raul Chirino, 7-1 (3 KO's), in the highly-anticipated co-feature. A mirror image of boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, Resendez is fighting for the first time since December 2014. The Resindez-Chirino bout is scheduled for six rounds and expected to steal the show.
Undefeated Armando “The Gentleman” Alvarez, 8-0 (4 KO's), will trek north from Miami, FL to battle Tampa’s Lee “Holliwood” Dawson a six round welterweight contest. Alvarez is a talented boxer-puncher with a loyal fan base that follows him wherever he fights while Dawson will look to make it five straight without a defeat.
In vier ronde aanvallen, hard-hitting St. Petersburg based Ukrainian Victor Kulakovski (4-2) meets fellow Floridian Paulie Simpson (2-1) of Tampa in the junior middleweight division, Tampa’s Rafael Rivera (1-1) squares off against New Port Richey, FL’s Michael Guillen (1-0) in a lightweight matchup and Pensacola, FL’s Beden Laurent (2-3) challenges Miami’s Serge Cadeus (1-1) at super middleweight.

“We’re excited to be back in St. Petersburg and I’d like to thank the staff at the Bayfront for making this a reality, said Joey Orduna. “In return, we’re providing them with an outstanding local-themed fight card that everybody will definitely enjoy. I’m expecting another great crowd with fans from all across the Sunshine State come April 2nd."
