ST. PETERSBURG, Rusland (Mei 5, 2016) – M-1 Global has announced that M-1 Challenge featherweight champion John “Dit is de” Buchinger will defend his title against undefeated challenger Magomed Idrisov, hemelbekleding M-1 Challenge 67, Juni 4 at Baku, Azerbeidzjan.
Also announced is a fight between undefeated Kazakh welterweight prospect Shavkat Rakjmonov and Brazilian veteran Carlos Alexandre “Indio” Peer.

His lone title defense last October was a decision win over current M-1 Challenge lightweight championMansour Barnaoui bij M-1 Challenge 62. Undefeated in his last nine fights, dating back four years, Buchinger is 5-0 in M-1 Global concurrentie.
Fighting out of Russia, Idrisov (6-0-0, M-1: 3-0-0) is the European Wu-Sanda champion. Peer, 37, won Submission of the Night in his only M-1 Global fight to date, last September against Ruslan Zhemuklkov (zie onderstaande afbeelding) bij M-1 Challenge 61.
