Dessutom, the league announced the first WSOF32 preliminary bout, a much-anticipated rematch between a pair of unbeaten featherweight (145 pund) rivals in Hakeem "betyder" Dawodu (5-0-1) och Marat Magomedov (7-0-1).

LAS VEGAS (Maj 17, 2016) - World Series of Fighting (www.WSOF.com) announced today that it is launching a groundbreaking program designed to support and further the athletic careers of military veterans who actively compete, or are seeking to compete, in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).

"WSOF: Who’s The Toughest?” will include a dedicated recruitment program that will see World Series of Fighting President and six-time world champion Far chefer and his staff visit MMA gyms, beginning with a location in San Diego, Calif. next month, in order to evaluate the pool of competitors with veteran status.

The first two recruits from the program will square off with each other live on NBCSN at WSOF35, which will take place at a location to be announced, påLördag, November. 12, one day after Veterans Day.

“We are looking forward to embarking on this venture that will allow us to give back to our armed forces that serve our country and protect our freedom,"Said Chiefs.

Fodor, who joined the U.S. Marine Corps just six days after his high school graduation, was sent to Kuwait for the Iraq invasion after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and eventually earned the rank of sergeant before completing his military stint in 2007.

LAS VEGAS (Maj 10, 2016) -World Serie av Slagsmål (WSOF.com) has announced a new main event and second championship rematch between reigning bantamweight (135 pounds) kingpin Marlon Moraes (16-4-1) and streaking challenger Josh "Gentleman" Hill (14-1), for its stacked Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event at XFINITY Arena at Everett on Lördag, Juli 30, bor på NBCSN på 10:30 p.m. OCH/7:30 p.m. PT.

The highly-anticipated world featherweight (145 pounds) title fight and second showdown between Alexandre "Captain" Almeida (18-5) and the man he took the title from – Lance Palmer (10-2) – will now serve as the co-main event of WSOF32: Moraes vs. Hill II.

“The magnitude of this event has increased dramatically with the addition of a second world title fight and rematch between Marlon Moraes, who has been unstoppable, in the cage, and one of the most formidable and talented contenders in the world in Josh Hill” said World Series of Fighting President Far chefer.

The second meeting between Moraes and Hill comes 17 months after the two superstars went the five-round distance of their championship main event fight at WSOF18 on February 12, 2015, with Moraes successfully defending his coveted title by way of unanimous decision.

The 5-foot-6, 28 year-old Moraes of Howell, N.J. via Nova Friburgo, Brazil is a former Muay Thai champion and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt whose reign of terror in the 135-pound division has been ongoing since the end of 2011, when he ignited a win streak that has spanned 11 straight fights, Inklusive 3 defenses of his World Series of Fighting title.

Alexandre Almeida vs. Lance Palmer

I december 18, 5-fot-11, 27-year-old Almeida of Manaus, Amazon, Brazil notched his fifth consecutive win, seizing the World Series of Fighting featherweight title from Palmer of Sacramento, Calif. via a controversial, unanimous decision after Almeida used his significant height and reach advantage to continuously frustrate the 5-foot-6, 28-year-old Palmer for the duration of their five-round matchup.

The loss snapped a three-fight win streak for Palmer, who captured the featherweight strap when he submitted Rick Glenn with a rear-naked choke in the third round (3:09) of their matchup on December 13, 2014.

Phoenix Jones vs. Caros Fodor

Over the course of the last five years, Jones and Fodor of Seattle have each, on several occasions, gone on the record expressing their desires to fight one another, despite the fact that they grew up under the same roof and train in the same camp owned by head coach Matt Hume.

LAS VEGAS (Januari 21, 2016) -World Serie av Slagsmål (WSOF.com) and Talk2Legends (Talk2Legends.com) today announced an unprecedented partnership that will allow fans to chat live on their iPhone devices with some of their favorite Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athletes and other celebrity talent, using the latter company’s new mobile app.

The partnership will commence on Saturday, Jan. 23 when over two dozen figures from the World Series of Fighting universe will be available for video chat sessions with fans during the WSOF27: Firmino vs. Fodor event that will air live on NBCSN at 10 p.m. OCH/7 p.m. PT from the FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn.

Available for download in the App Store, the Talk2Legends app also allows fans to share completed chat sessions with friends on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

“The partnership between World Series of Fighting and Talk2Legends will enable a fan experience that is unmatched in sports, for a reasonable cost,” said Talk2Legends CEO Ryan Hermansky.

“Fight of the Year” will be determined by fan votes cast online
LAS VEGAS (December 22, 2015) -World Serie av Slagsmål (WSOF.com) will return to NBC with a special, one-hour program filled with an assortment of the most memorable and impactful moments of 2015 in the decagon cage, på söndag, December 27, vid 2 p.m. OCH/11 am P.T.

Co-hosted by Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) icons and World Series of Fighting color commentators Chael Sonnen och Bas Rutten, along with veteran play-by-play man Todd Harris, "WSOF: Greatest Hits 2015” will feature highlights from bouts recognized as candidates for “Fight of the Year,” “Finish of the Year” and “Upset of the Year.”

“This was an incredible year filled with some of the best action we have seen in the cage from our world-class athletes, so we are excited to be able to package the most powerful highlights into a phenomenal hour-long program for a broadcast television audience and deliver it to our fans who have the opportunity, beforehand, to vote for ‘Fight of the Year,’” said World Series of Fighting President Far chefer.

Fans can cast their votes for “Fight of the Year” online at http://2015.wsof.com/. The winning bout will be announced on NBC during the ‘Greatest Hits’ program.

The show will include highlights from World Series of Fighting’s historic, first-ever, one-night tournament that saw eight fighters battle for the number one contender spot in the coveted lightweight (155 pounds) delning.

Dessutom, an “International Fighter of the Year” segment will showcase footage featuring each of seven different, prolific World Series of Fighting athletes, including reigning heavyweight champion Blagoy Ivanov and reigning bantamweight (135 pounds) kingpin Marlon Moraes, who turned in at least one impressive performance in 2015.

The year-end program on NBC comes shortly after World Series of Fighting’s 26thlive event and towards the close of its third year of operation.

Among the accolades the world championship MMA league garnered in 2015 were two “Fight of the Month” honors. The first world lightweight championship showdown between reigning, obesegrad mästare Justin “The Highlight Gaethje and battle-tested challenger Luis "Babian" Palomino på Mars 28, as well as the rematch between the two gritty fighters on September 18, were each bestowed with the award.

World Series of Fighting action will return to NBCSN on Onsdag, Jan. 23 vid 12 a.m. OCH/9 p.m. PT with a re-airing of “WSOF26: Palmer vs. Almeida” world championship fight card that took place on Friday, December. 18.

NEW YORK, December 9 - Den sjätte årliga MMA World Expo, östkustens premiär Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) inbärga presenteras av staden World Ford, kommer att återvända till New Yorks Jacob Javits Center, North paviljongen, på lördag, December 12.
