Many times in the post-fight interview a winning male fighter will also cite the fact that he is a new father. I call it the Baby Daddy factor. If you know before the fight that a particular fighter is making a new commitment to the sport after the birth of a child, that kind of inspiration can be key.

A death of someone close to a fighter can also have a huge effect on the outcome of a fight. Consider one of the greatest upsets of all time: Jakob “Buster” Douglas beating “Bügeleisen” Mike Tyson. Buster’s mother tragically died just 23 days before the fight. Douglas promised her before she died that he would beat Tyson. Wie wir alle wissen, he kept that promise and shocked the world in the process. Imagine what it must have felt like to have a winning bet on that fight.

Former UFC Fighter and Coach James Krause literally made a living betting on UFC fights with insider information. Most of us among the average betting public don’t have access to that kind of knowledge, obwohl.
