Bristol, Па (Мај 13, 2016) – On Saturday night June 4th, a brand new boxing series will be launched as D and D Promotions presents its inaugural “Rumble at the Rink” Boxing series that will take place at The Grundy Arena in Bristol, Pa.
Scheduled to appear in the six-round main event will be super middleweight Derrick Webster.

D and D Promotions, which consists of David Price and Doc Nowicki believe in the concept of developing professional & amateur fighters and expose them to the boxing fan simultaneously.

The card will feature 4 professional bouts as well as 6 high-level amateur bouts.

“This is a great way for boxing fans to get to know the stars of утре and have these fighters on the same show. There are a lot of great fighters, both professional and amateur in the area, and this will give them a great outlet to get opportunities to showcase their abilities,” said D and D Promotions David Price.

York, Пен. (Април 22, 2016) – Back on April 9, Steve Weimer came back from a 39-month layoff with a four round unanimous decision over 73-fight veteran, Joseph Figueroa in Springfield, Вирџинија.

Со победа, Weimer raised his perfect mark to 10-0 and the middleweight prospect from York, Pennsylvania is primed and ready to keep the momentum going.
“He was a tough guy, but I boxed him,” Weimer said of Figueroa. “I used my length and range to set up the right hand to score a knockdown in the first round. After the layoff, it was good to shake the rust off.”
“I kept my composure and fought my fight. I did exactly what I wanted to do. It was the perfect comeback fight.
There won’t be anymore long layoffs for Weimer as he is already preparing for his next outing, which is scheduled to take place on June 4th во Спрингфилд.
“I am already back in the gym for June 4th. There are a few guys they are talking to and I am just preparing for whoever takes the fight.”
The fight was also a new beginning for Weimer as it was his first bout under the promotional banner of Jeter Promotions.

Jeter Promotions signs undefeated Welterweight Steve Weimer

Weimer did not leave the ring because of the usual boxing stereotypes, but he took some time off to get his college degree. Weimer graduated from York College with a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology.

Round five had the best two-way action of the first half of the fight with both guys digging deep to gain an advantage. Douglas seemed to get the better of the exchanges as he landed the harder combinations. Douglas began to take over the middle rounds and in round eight, a left hook rocked De Alba and put him in danger for this first time in the fight.
The two fought hard down the stretch and excited the crowd with Douglas winning in the end by majority decision by scores of 97-93, 96-94 и 95-95.

Travis Kauffman honored by Hometown of Reading, Па

In the proclamation, Kauffman was honored for not only his fight with Arreola, where he battled the former two-time world title challenger to a fight in which most people watching the fight both at ringside and watching on NBC had Kauffman ahead, but also for his activities in the community, which includes feeding the homeless and giving back in many facets in Reading.

“I worked hard for years just to get recognized by the city I love,” рече Кауфман. “I made many mistakes in my life, but I turned my life around and have done everything to give back to my community and the people of Reading, Pa. I’m honored today to finally be recognized in my city after all the hard work and the dedication. Thank you to the mayor, the City Council, and the people of Reading, Pa for this award.
