“Sebastian Fundora sits atop the stacked super welterweight division and will no doubt be looking to put on a show when he defends his world titles against the dangerous highly-rated contender Chordale Booker topping this great event on Prime Video on March 22,” said Tom Brown, Präsident der TGB Promotions. “This is a tremendous style matchup between the forward-charging attack of Fundora and the slick counterpunching of Booker and will make for great back-and-forth. Combined with a surefire action fight between Jesus Ramos Jr. and Kevin Salgado and a toss-up fight between Elijah Garcia and Terrell Gausha, everything is in place for another memorable fight night in Las Vegas.”

“Sebastian ‘The Towering Inferno’ Fundora will be better than ever in his first fight as a defending unified world champion,” said Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing. “The whole Fundora family works so hard to be where they are and they deserve their success. Chordale Booker is a good fighter with real skills, but he won’t be able to take Sebastian’s power.”

**SEBASTIAN FUNDORA VS. CHORDALE BOOKER**

Standing nearly six-foot-six, Sebastian „Das hoch aufragende Inferno“ Fundora leapt into the championship ranks after earning a decision over Tim Tszyu last year, and will now defend his WBC and WBO 154-pound world titles against the WBO No. 5-ranked and WBC No. 14-ranked super welterweight contender in Chordale Booker as they top the March 22 event in a 12-round attraction.

Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs) rocketed to the top of the super welterweight division with a fan-friendly style and bruising toughness in the ring that helped him emerge victorious from a grueling and bloody battle against Tszyu last March. A native of Coachella, Kalifornien, Fundora notably showed his mettle in April 2022, battling the hard-hitting Erickson Lubin in an instant 2022 Fight of the Year contender. Despite both men hitting the canvas, Fundora stood tall in the end, prompting Lubin’s corner to stop the fight at the end of the ninth round.

The 27-year-old has defeated a slew of contenders throughout his career, with his only defeat coming to Brian Mendoza in 2023. Fundora represents one of boxing’s most accomplished families, as he is trained by his father Freddy alongside his younger sister, undisputed flyweight world champion Gabriela. The two fighting Fundora’s are the first brother and sister to simultaneously hold world championships.

“I’m preparing really hard to defend my unified WBC and WBO world titles on March 22 in Las Vegas,” said Fundora. “Everyone can expect to see me prepared and ready to leave it all in the ring like I always do. ‘The Towering Inferno’ is back, and I’m coming to take out everyone in my way.”

Fighting out of his native Stamford, Connecticut, Booker (23-1, 11 KOs) enters this fight on a six-fight winning streak that includes four stoppage victories that have helped him rise up the rankings and earn his first world title opportunity. Since a 2022 loss to Austin Williams, Booker has dominated his competition, einschließlich ein 2024 campaign that saw him defeat veteran contender Greg Vendetti in February before stopping Brian Damian Chaves in round three of their June clash.

The 33-year-old also owns triumphs over a litany of tough contenders including Wale Omotoso and VeShawn Owens. Prior to turning pro in 2016, Booker put together a sensational amateur career that included gold medals at the U.S. National and Golden Gloves championships, in addition to a bronze medal at the U.S. Olympic trials that earned him an alternate spot for the 2016 U.S.. Olympiamannschaft.

“I’ve done everything I could to get here, and it’s a testament to what my foundation represents – going the distance,“Sagte Booker. “I’ve gone the distance to make it to this fight. I’ve taken fights on short notice, fought for less and always kept pushing forward. Jetzt, 15 years into my boxing journey, I’m stepping into the biggest fight of my life. This moment means everything and it’s proof that hard work and perseverance pays off.”

**JESUS RAMOS JR. VS. KEVIN SALGADO**

In der 10-Runden-Co-Main Event, one of the sport’s brightest rising Mexican stars will return to action as Jesus Ramos Jr.. looks to continue his climb up the stacked 154-pound division when he battles the all-action contender Kevin Salgado in an explosive all-Mexican battle. After coming up on the wrong end of a contested decision against top contender Erickson Lubin in September 2023, Ramos (22-1, 18 KOs) has returned in style with back-to-back stoppages. Most recently he blasted out the former unified champion Jeison Rosario in the eight-round of their February 1 Matchup.

Ein Eingeborener von Casa Grande, Ariz., Ramos had worked his way up the rankings by defeating a slew of contenders including Brian Mendoza, Javier Molina, Vladimir Hernandez and an emphatic stoppage of the then-unbeaten Joey Spencer. Trained by his father Jesus Sr., and the nephew of veteran contender Abel, the 23-year-old Ramos entered the Lubin fighting having stopped seven of his last 10 Gegner.

“I’m thrilled to be stepping back into the ring on March 22,” said Ramos. “One of my main goals this year was to increase my activity and this opportunity aligns perfectly with that ambition. Kevin Salgado is a formidable fighter known for his resilience and determination, and that should make for an electrifying night of boxing. Coming off an extended training camp, my conditioning is at its peak. Now our primary focus is to develop a strategic game plan tailored to Salgado’s unique style so that we can secure the victory.”

Ein Eingeborener aus Mexiko-Stadt, Salgado (17-2-1, 10 KOs) is the younger brother of former super featherweight champion Juan Carlos Salgado and now fights out of San Antonio, Texas. Salgado enters this with two consecutive stoppage victories following an April 2023 decision loss to Elijah Garcia. The 27-year-old turned pro in late 2016 and delivered knockouts in six of his first nine outings. After scoring three-straight knockouts between September 2019 and February 2021, Salgado returned to the ring in October 2021 to defeat Ricardo Banuelos Cernas by unanimous decision before fighting Bryant Perrella to a split-draw in his U.S. Debüt im April.

Salgado bounced back from a September 2022 defeat to Joey Spencer by knocking out Gilberto Flores in the first round of their December 2022 clash.

“This is an important opportunity and I’m coming to make the most of it,” said Salgado. “I have a strong opponent, but I’m going to be the best version of myself when the fight comes. On March 22 I will do whatever it takes to get my hand raised.”

**ELIJAH GARCIA VS. TERRELL GAUSHA**

The opening attraction will see the return of a rising star in the 21-year-old Elijah Garcia, who seeks to bounce back from his first career defeat and return to his championship trajectory in a 10-round middleweight fight against the always tough veteran Terrell Gausha, who has stood up to a litany of top fighters throughout his career.

Die Bekämpfung von Phoenix, Arizona, García (16-1, 13 KOs) steps back into the ring after dropping a close split-decision last June against middleweight contender Kyrone Davis. Garcia had previously burst onto the scene as a teenager by earning three impressive victories in 2023. He kicked off that memorable campaign in March with a knockout of the previously unbeaten Amilcar Vida and followed that up with a pair of performances on the undercards of two of the biggest events of the year.

He first defeated Kevin Salgado on the Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia pay-per-view in April before knocking out Armando Resendiz on the Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo pay-per-view in September. The precocious García has moved fast since turning pro in 2020 and knocked out seven of his last nine opponents heading into the Davis fight.

“I’m not just ready for this fight, I’m ready to dominate,“, Sagte Garcia. “I’m excited to get back in the ring and unleash everything I’ve been working on in camp. The addition of Bob Santos and his knowledge and wisdom that he’s shared with our team is a game changer. His expertise and guidance are going to take us to new heights and propel us to the next level. We’re not just looking to win, we’re looking to make a statement.”

Ein Mitglied der 2012 U.S.. Olympiamannschaft, Gausha (24-4-1, 12 KOs) was born in Cleveland, Ohio but now fights out of Encino, California and is trained by the renowned Manny Robles. He most recently dropped a competitive decision to reigning WBC Middleweight World Champion Carlos Adames in their June 2024 WM-Kampf.

Prior to facing Adames, Gausha had won back-to-back bouts as he knocked out Brandyn Lynch in March 2023 before winning a decision over KeAndrae Leatherwood in September of that year. Gausha has faced top competition throughout his career, having fought former champion Austin Trout to a draw in 2019 in addition to decision losses against WBA Middleweight World Champion Erislandy Lara, former world champion Tim Tszyu and top contender Erickson Lubin.

I’m excited to get back in the mix,Sagte Gausha. “I’m always working and staying ready for any opportunity. On March 22 people will know why I’ve been at this level for so long. I’m going to make a statement for sure.

Traynor Victorious over Mulberry in FOTY Contender Battle Royale to Secure British Title

The highly anticipated PBC British Super Featherweight Championship clash between Denny’s Kevin Traynor (5-0-0 3KO) and Basildon’s Lewis Mulberry (4-1-0 1KO), finally took place on Saturday night, on the Lee McAllister promoted LET BATTLE COMMENCE VI event that took place at Rivals in Wishaw, Schottland.

The heavily hyped title clash exceeded all expectations, it was an exceptional closely fought twelve round Battle Royale and rightly is being touted as a leading contender for FIGHT OF THE YEAR accolades.

No surprise really as both warriors went at it hammer and tongs for the full twelve rounds, much to the delight of the fans in attendance as well as those around the world that watched the sensational contest live on FITE+

Speaking from his home, following some well earned rest and relaxation with his family, Traynor said;

“What a night!

“The fight had been built up for the past year or so and I think it definitely lived up to expectations, und vieles mehr.

“Lewis was a great opponent very, very explosive but I kept my cool stuck to my game plan and everything went exactly the way I felt that it would, only thing I didn’t expect was for it to go the distance, I thought I would have got him out of there but the lad proved how tough he was.

“I knew how dangerous he would be early and the first three or four rounds would be the toughest, but I remained composed and continued to box smart before stepping it up later in the fight.

“It was a fantastic fight to be involved in and was an excellent experience fighting in my first twelve round fight.

“I enjoyed every second on it and would like to thank Lewis for being a fantastic dance partner, he is only a young lad and can definitely come again and do some great things in the sport.

“As for myself I’m not 100% sure what is next for me, I had a great camp for the fight but with my baby son being born it was hard to train the 2 oder 3 times a day, work and be a dad so I will spend some time with my family consider what options I have then take it from there.

“Thanks to Lee McAllister, Assassin Promotions, BIBA and the PBC for the opportunity to fight for my first Championship, it has been a great journey so far and much, much more to come.”

In addition to the sensational Traynor versus Mulberry potential FOTY title clash, fans in attendance, as well as those watching on FITE+ were treated to a night of sensational closely matched contests, the standouts being;

The opening contest of the night see Aberdeen’s Samer Carol (1-1-0) and Newcastle’s Jak Johnson (1-4-0) in action against each other.

Originally Carol was due to face India’s Jaideep Singh (0-1-0) and Johnson was matched against India’s Sukhdeep Singh (1-0-0), however both Indian lads visas were not through in time, so some quick rejigging of the card led to the pair squaring off against each other in a fantastic all action, closely fought four rounder that had the potential of being Fight of the Night, had it not been for the exceptional Traynor-Mulberry title clash. After four all action rounds Referee James Ancliff’s scorecard read 39-39, it was that close!

Unbeaten Liam Allan (3-0-0 3KO) had his hands full when he faced late replacement in Kent’s Adam Harris (Debüt), in a four round Heavyweight contest.

Was für ein krachender Kampf, it was hard to believe it was at Heavyweight as the action was more akin to a Super Middle contest, and what’s more Harris became the first fighter to go the distance, in the pro ranks, with the big punching Aberdeen youngster. Referee James Ancliff scored the contest 40-36 in favour of Liam Allan.

Paisley’s Craig Kelly (11-15-1 2KO) was expecting a really testing full on nights work, when he faced Accra Ghana’s big punching Theophilus Ofei Dodoo (9-2-0 9KO), however fate stepped in to cut the fight short, as Dodoo suffered a serious hand injury during the first stanza that forced him to retire at the end of the round. However believe me the first round is definitely worth watching on FITE+ as it was one seriously great all action affair.

Another fight that only went one round was the heavyweight clash between Barrow’s Lee Kellett and Belfast’s Darren Burns. This was another all action affair, that was until just seconds in to the second minute of the contest when Kellet let rip with a massive hook to send Burns crashing to deck.

Originally the event was due to be headlined by two time WBO Featherweight World Champion Scott Harrison versus Razak Nettey PBC Commonwealth title clash, however that contest was forced to be cancelled just thirty minutes or so before it was due to take place.

Teen Sensation Hollie Towl Secures European Crown After Battle Royale Against Italy’s Nadia Flalhi

Hollie Towl may only be 18 Jahre alt, but already she is competing at the highest level in the professional game, just as she did as an amateur, winning no less than five National championships as well as many other regional accolades.

Since turning pro in September 2020 the sensational teen has racked up an impressive 6-0-0 record and is the youngest World Champion, of either gender, having secured the Women’s International Boxing Association (WIBA) Featherweight World Championship back in September 2021, with a win over Argentina’s Cristina Del Valle Pacheco.

On Sunday afternoon Towl stepped up a division to challenge and beat former Italian Amateur National Champion Nadia Flalhi to secure the Professional Boxing Council (PBC) Super Featherweight European Championship by unanimous decision; winning every round on judges Carla Fox and Steve Tighe’s scorecards and winning all but three rounds which judge Adrian Thorne scored as drawn on his card.

On paper this was as as close to a genuine fifty-fifty contest you possibly wish for, exceptional amateur careers and both unbeaten as professionals, so no surprise then that the actual fight soon became a full on Battle Royale.

Right from the opening bell both sensational young warriors went into battle, it was breathtaking watching the contest unfold, initially Flalhi took full advantage of her height and superior reach to keep Towl at bay, but Towl is as savvy as they come and it wasn’t long before she used her exceptional ring craft to neutralise the Italian’s height and reach advantage, before letting rip with scintillating flurries and big shots to head and body.

As the fight progressed Flalhi adapted her game plan and drew the feisty teen to the inside, a plan that may have worked on others with less ability, but not with Towl, she was just as happy to go to war up close and took advantage of every opportunity that came her way.

In addition to the sensational Towl versus Flalhi finale of the Boyle Pro Boxing promoted event, the fans in attendance were treated to five further closely matched contests.

Worksop’s Eleanor Coulson extended her record to 5-1-0 after her opponent Aimee Moody was forced to retire at the end of the first with a serious knee injury.

Middleweight Cameron Moran took his record to 2-0-0 with a close victory over the extremely tough Afghan born Londoner Zahir Bennett. Moran versus Bennett was without doubt a leading candidate for Fight of the Night, as with Towl versus Flalhi it was an all action affair.

Cruiserweight Alvis Berzins extended his unbeaten record to 3-0-1 with a closely fought victory over debuting Owen James. After four sensation rounds Referee Lee Murtagh scored the contest 39-38.

Chesterfield Super Middleweight Luke White endured a baptism of fire on his pro debut against Chessington, Surrey hard man Richard Harrison. White securing his first win as a pro by a 40-37 points victory.

Worksop’s Ben Gore made a surprise appearance, following debuting Jayden Harris pulling out the day before, and faced Belfast’s Marty Kayes. Clearly was worthwhile stepping up to the plate for Gore as Referee Adrian Thorne scored the contest in his favour 40-37.

Boxing fans will not have to wait long to watch these young warriors in action again, as Boyle’s Pro Boxing has another event planned at the Shirebrook Leisure Centre in Mansfield on the 26th March 2022, and as with Sunday’s event will be broadcast exclusively live on FITE, in association with KC Sofas, and word is Chris Boyle is contemplating Hollie Towl making her first defence of her WIBA Featherweight World titlewatch this space!

“Ich bin gerade in diesem Moment so emotional,” Said Rosario. “When I lost my last fight I said I will never lose again until I become champion of the world and that’s what happened tonight. Ich kam vorbereitet. I knew before the fight that I was going to win it.

In round five Rosario landed the punches that would ultimately lead to the end of the fight, hitting him with hard straight right hands that immediately slowed Williams.

I have to give a lot of credit to my team,” Said Rosario. “I had a 16-week training camp and that prepared me for this. My life is changed forever and I can support my family in a whole new way. I realized that I was going to win, once I was offered the fight. I knew that if I made the sacrifice, that I would do what I did tonight. I knew it 16 weeks ago.

Rosario sensed his moment and came forward with big punches, while Williams tried to hold and survive. Eventually the onslaught proved to be too much, and referee Benjy Esteves halted the bout 1:37 in die Runde. Zum Zeitpunkt des Stillstands, Rosario led 39-37 auf zwei Karten, with the third card scored 38-38.

I wasn’t surprised he was so good,” sagte Williams. “I told everybody he’s a real fighter. I have to accept it. The cut blurred my vision a little bit but it wasn’t the reason why I lost. He was the better fighter tonight. We’ve got a rematch clause. I’ll see him again soon. I’ll be back.

The co-main event saw rising star Chris “Prime Time” Colbert (14-0, 5 KOs) drop former champion Jezreel Corrales (23-4, 9 KOs) on his way to a unanimous decision victory that earned him the Interim WBA Super Featherweight Title.

“Er ist ein großer Kämpfer,” Said Colbert. “People don’t realize that, because he had a bad decision against Ladarius Miller. But he’s a great fighter. He’s very awkward. He’s slick and fast. It was hard to catch him because he was running, but he came to fight. I take my hat off to him.

The action began tactically, with Colbert trying to figure out the awkward style of the veteran former champion Corrales. Colbert switched from orthodox to southpaw and was able to control the early action despite a slow pace.

I did my job in there,” said Corrales. “My strategy was to hit and not get hit. I felt like I made him struggle for a lot of the fight. The knockdown wasn’t from being hurt, it was my balance. Our feet got tangled and I lost my balance. I came in here to win. We both did our jobs, but the judges scored his pushing more than his punching.

Colbert continued to vary up his attack as the fight went on, while Corrales was able to have some success in the middle rounds landing straight lefts to counter his attacking opponent. In Runde 10 Colbert began to pull away, landing a clean left hook followed by a right hook to the top of the head that put Corrales on a knee.

I had confidence coming into the fight,” Said Colbert. “I knew I was going to dominate the fight and I told you all that before the fight happened. He was running and I was trying to catch him, so I told my corner, let’s have a dog fight. We got 12 Runde. I’m in shape. Du siehst, I didn’t sit down one round. I’m in shape and I came to fight. I wasn’t going to leave without this title.

The 23-year-old from Brooklyn seemed to get stronger as the fight went on and finished the championship rounds impressively, staggering Corrales in the waning moments of the fight to punctuate the performance. Colbert was the victor on all three judges’ Karten, von Partituren von 117-110 zweimal und 116-111.

The strategy was to use my jab like I did and try to set up my punches,” Said Colbert. “But he’s very awkward and has good distance. Slowly but surely I decided to stop boxing, close the distance and get on him. I knew he couldn’t out throw me, I’m from Brooklyn.

In the FOX PBC Fight Night opener, top super welterweight prospect Joey Spencer(10-0, 7 KOs)remained unbeaten with a unanimous decision over Erik Frühling (13-4-2, 1 KO) after six rounds of action.

At the end I really just pressed him, said I’m going to finish strong, and hit him with some good shots,” sagte Spencer. “If I had done that in the first or second round, I would have ended it early. I’m glad to get the six rounds in. Erfahrung ist alles. You’re only as good as your next fight. I’m happy to get in there and get some good experience and I did my thing and got the shutout.

I was waiting too much,” said Spring. “I thought he would come in and engage more and I was looking counter him but he stayed on the outside. I was more impressed by his speed then his power. He’s a talented fighter but I could have been more effective.

After six rounds, all three judges saw the fight for Spencer, by the score of 60-54 drei Mal. PBC’s 2019 Prospect of the Year, Spencer will look for another big year in 2020.

I’m going to stay busy this year,” sagte Spencer. “I’m going to have a four-fight year. This is one of four. We’re looking to bring some excitement and have some fun.

Watch Joey Spencer seal his 10th career win with a powerful combo just before the final bell hier.

Prior to the main card, FOX PBC Fight Night Prelims on FS1 and FOX Deportes saw Mexico’s Jorge Cota (30-4, 27 KOs) earn a fifth-round stoppage over Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna (28-3-1, 10 KOs) 1:22 into their super welterweight bout, when LaManna’s corner advised the ringside doctor to halt the action.

The action also included sensational 17-year-old prospect Vito Mielnicki Jr. (4-0, 3 KOs) dominate Preston Wilson (6-4-1, 4 KOs) on his way to a unanimous decision by the score of 40-36 three times in their welterweight matchup. The Prelims opener saw undefeated Romuel Cruz (4-0-1, 2 KOs) Erzielen Sie eine Unterbrechung der ersten Runde von Julio Garcia(3-4, 2 KOs) 2:56 in ihren Super-Bantamgewicht-Wettbewerb.

Mit Spannung erwarteter WBC-Titel-Rückkampf im Super-Weltergewicht zwischen Tony Harrison & Jermell Charlo Schlagzeilen Live in Primetime auf FOX PBC Fight Night & Am FOX Deportes Samstag, Dezember 21 von der Toyota Arena in Ontario, Kalifornien – 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT

ONTARIO, Calif.
