CANASTOTA, NY – MARCH 18, 2024 – The International Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum, which is celebrating its 35th Anniversary in 2024, is pleased to announce that Hall of Famer “The Golden Boy” Oscar De La Hoya will attend the Banquet of Champions and other events planned for planned for the 2024 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend set for June 6-9.
“From Olympic gold to world titles in six divisions, Oscar De La Hoya captured the imagination of boxing fans around the world,” said Hall of Fame director Edward Brophy. “We are very much looking forward to welcoming ‘The Golden Boy’ back to Canastota for the Hall of Fame’s 35th Anniversary celebration.”

De La Hoya capped a 223-5 (153 КОс) amateur career by capturing lightweight gold at the 1992 Олимпијске игре. He turned pro the same year and captured his first world title – the WBO super featherweight – in only his 12th pro bout and would go on to win 10 world titles in six weight divisions.

Легендарни тренер, Феликс Паган Пинтор, Потврђено је да се придружи групи елитних Порториканац тренера који ће бити подржава Тхомас Дулорме ( 22-1, 14 КО је ) у свом углу. О Субота, 18. април, Дулорме ће се суочити са највећим изазовом у својој каријери младог док је суочава “2014 Боксер године” и лаган светски шампион Теренс Крафорд ( 25-0,17 КО је ) у светском шампионату који је заказан за борбу 12 метака за упражњено ВБО Ворлд Јуниор велтер титулу. Борба ће се одржати у Центру Цоллеге Парк се налази на кампусу Универзитета у Тексасу, Арлингтон. Борба ће бити уживо преносило на 'ХБО Бокинг Афтер Дарк', са почетком у 9:45 п.м. И/ПТ.
“У удаљеном делу планине источног региона отока Порторика, група елитних искусних тренера напорно раде са Дулорме у припреми за борбу. Један од тих тренера је Феликс Паган Пинтор, који има богато искуство, јер је био у углу многих од највећих бораца пуерторрицан. Његово присуство у углу ће бити значајан фактор у борби. Имамо групу тренера који имају сјајну комбинацију искуства и младости. Ускоро ћемо открити имена осталих чланова тима Дулорме чинећи добро заобљеног тиму.” рекао Дулорме саветник, Рицхи Миранда.

 

Феликс Паган Пинтор има преко 40 година искуства бокинг. У 1977 имао је про-деби као борац, док у исто време бити тренер. Радио је у 60 Ворлд Цхампионсхип напади са легендарним бораца попут Вилфредо Гомез, Хецтор 'Мацхо’ Цамацхо, Иван Цалдерон, Пол Вилијамс, Царлос Сантос, између осталог.

Фигхтер чињенице:
Крафорд је препозната као "2014 Бокер године", Награда коју додељује Удружење књижевника Бокс Америке ( БВАА ) за његове приметио побједа над Рицки Бурнс, од кога је узео ВБО светску титулу у. Он је тада успешно одбранио титулу у два наврата против Иуриоркис Гамбоа и Раи Белтран.

С друге стране Дулорме је свеж искључен победом над свет кандидат Ханк Лунди и пре тога, Дулорме завршио Карим Маифиелд је непоражен рекорд у мечу који је добио једногласном одлуком.

Дулорме је тренутно рангиран #2 Светска Бокинг Ассоциатион ( ВБА ), #3 Светска Бокинг савета (ВБЦ ) и Међународна федерација Бокс ( ИБФ ), док #5 Светска боксерске организације ( ВБО )
