JE, Kämpfe aus Holbrook (MA), wird in seinem ersten geplanten 10-Runden-Kampf gegen den mexikanischen Herausforderer Israel „Filipino Tigre“ Rojas antreten (14-24, 5 KOs) im Superleichtgewicht, Kampf ohne Titel.

„Zehn Runden bedeuten mir sehr viel,“, sagte Ohan. „Es ist etwas, das ich mein ganzes Leben lang gesehen habe, weil alle Legenden gegen 10-Runden-Wettkämpfe gekämpft haben. Das ist etwas Besonderes für mich. Ich bin bereit zu gehen und werde meinen Gegner deklassieren.“

Ohan holte sich im vergangenen November den vakanten Titel in New England, als er eine einstimmige 8-Runden-Entscheidung über Ryan Dibartolomeo gewann, Es folgte eine erfolgreiche Titelverteidigung in seinem letzten Kampf im Juni, als Herausforderer Tyrone Luckey nach fünf Runden ausschied.

Der New England-Titel ist ein Sprungbrett und ich habe das Gefühl, dass ich nächstes Jahr weitere Titelgürtel sammeln kann," er fügte hinzu. „Ich habe bei Chris unterschrieben (Traietti, Präsident von Granite Chin Promotions) weil ich an großen Kämpfen teilnehmen möchte. Ein ehemaliger zweifacher Champion der Southern New England Golden Gloves, Der heute 27-jährige Ohan ist der Sohn eines ehemaligen Preiskämpfers, Mittelgewichtler Mike Ohan (14-6-2, 11 KOs – 1983-95), der gegen „Marvelous“ Marvin Hagler kämpfte. JE, Der Großvater mütterlicherseits von Jr. boxte ebenfalls.

„Ich habe immer zu meinem Vater als Kämpfer aufgeschaut,"Oh., Jr. erwähnt, „Aber er wollte nicht, dass ich boxe. Ich habe spät angefangen und bin erst dann ins Fitnessstudio gegangen, als ich es geschafft hatte 16 um Ärger zu vermeiden. Mein Vater unterstützt mich und geht zu meinen Kämpfen. Ich habe mich sofort in das Boxen verliebt und fühle mich heute noch stärker dabei.“

Ohans Geburtsname ist Ohanian, aber er ist Ire. „Es liegt mir im Blut," er erklärte. „Es geht zurück in die alten Bare-Knuckle-Tage. Mein Vater ist mütterlicherseits Ire, Armenisch bei seinem Vater. Meine Großmutter ist auf beiden Seiten Irin. So, Ich habe viel Irisches von meinen Eltern in mir.“

Unbesiegter Holyoke (MA) Weltergewichtskandidat Denzel „Double Impact“ Whitley (6-0, 5 KOs), von trifft John Ferrara (0-1), von Tiverton (RI) in der 6-Runde, Co-Funktionsumfang Veranstaltung.

Der aus Guyana stammende Schwergewichtler Nkosi Soloman (3-1, 2 KOs), Bekämpfung von Brooklyn, wurde der Karte in einem 6-Runden-Kampf gegen TBA hinzugefügt.

New England welterweight champion Mike “Bad Boy” O’Han (13-1, 7 KOs), Granite Chin’s most recent signee, meets Mexican Israel “Filipino Tigre” Rojas (14-24, 5 KOs), in the non-title fight main event. It marks O’Han’s first scheduled 10-round bout.

HAMPTON, N.H. (Dezember 9, 2017) — Colorful light heavyweight prospect Richard “Popeye der Seemann” Rivera blieb ungeschlagen (5-0, 4 KOs), Veteran Roberto “The Old” Valenzuela, letzter Nacht (Sa.) in der “Rumble at The RIM” Hauptereignis, von Granit Chin Promotions präsentiert, at The RIM Sports Complex in Hampton, New Hampshire.
Rivera, Kampf aus Hartford (CT), controlled the action from the opening bell against his battle-tested opponent from Mexico, who had a tremendous experience advantage in his 147th Profi-Kampf, compared to Rivera’s fifth.
Valenzuela spent most of the time on the ropes, while Rivera teed-off on him, until a beautiful placed left hook by Rivera decked Valenzuela, who failed to get up until after referee Mike Ryan completed the 10-count.
A busload of Rivera’s fans drove five hours from Hartford through a snowstorm, arriving just before Rivera entered the ring. “That means a lot to me,” Rivera smiled as he spoke about his fans. “We’re more than a gym, wir sind Familie.
“I was so used to an amateur style but now I’m a pro. I’m relaxing and picking my punches. Nächster, I want to win the New England title. It’s vacant and I want it!”
“This was our first show in New Hampshire and I consider it a success,” Copromotor Chuck Shearns sagte,, “despite some things going against us like tonight’s weather. We’re grateful for the support we received from Hampton, New Hampshire, the commission and local businesses. They worked with us and we can’t wait to return.”
The son and nephew of multiple-time world kickboxing champions – father Tommy and uncle – worked his corner — Peabody, MA Russell Kimber had a promising pro debut against tough Nathan Schulte in a match contested at a 185-pound catchweight. The 32-year-old Kimber, who was the crowd favorite having lived several years in New Hampshire, overcame the determined Schulte for a hard-fought victory by way of a four-round majority decision.
“I was a little nervous with this being my first time in a pro ring,” Kimber admitted after his fight. “I hadn’t been in a ring for 1 ½ years and there was some ring rust. Jetzt, I know what I need to good, and I’ll be a lot better next fight. This was my first camp and I’ve learned a lot. I’d like to stay busy, come back in late January, early February.”
Undefeated Whitman, MA junior welterweight prospect Mikrofon “Bad Man” JE, Jr.charged across the ring, unloading a powerful right that immediately sent Bardraiel Smith auf die Leinwand. Smith somehow got to his feet but Ohan quickly ended Smith’s night, only 30-second into round one, as referee Ryan waved off the action.
New England cruiserweight champion and the show’s co-promoter, Iraq War veteran Chris Traietti (25-5, 19 KOs) übertroffen Fabian Valdez en route to a win by second-round knockout in a stay-busy fight to close out 2017. In a non-title fight contested at a 185-pounds catchweight, the Quincy, MA-based Traietti floored his game Mexican opponent with a straight right midway through the opening round, closing the show in the second round with a series of unanswered punches.
The only New Hampshire native on the card, Claremont junior middleweight Ricky Ford(1-1-1) won his first pro fight, taking a lop-sided, four-round unanimous decision over pro MMA fighter Andy Aiello, who made his pro boxing debut.
In another stay-busy fight, former world-rated Ryan “Der polnische Prinz” Kielczweski(27-3, 9 KOs), fighting out of Quincy (MA), needed only 51-seconds to finish off Mexican lightweight Francisco “Der Affe” Medal. Kielczweski hit Medal with a with a lethal left to the body, leaving Medal in obvious pain and unable to rise before the 10-count.
New Jersey middleweight Chris “Sandmann” Thomas (7-0-1, 4 KOs) kept his unbeaten pro record intact with a second-round stoppage of Demetrius Thomas. Thomas used a rapid-fire combination to drop Thomas, who beat the count, but he was getting hammered when referee Ryan stopped the fight late in the second round.

Granite Chin invades Granite State with “Rumble at The Rim”

HAMPTON, NH (November 13, 2017) – Granite Chin Promotions invades the Granite State on Samstag, Dezember 9, showcasing some of New England’s top professional boxers on the “Rumble at The Rim” Karte, at The Rim in Hampton, New Hampshire.
A portion of the proceeds will go to Hampton Youth Association.
“We are excited to bring Granite Chin to New Hampshire,” Promoter Chuck Shearns sagte,. “The town of Hampton and its officials have really embraced us. We have teamed up with a great charity, Hampton Youth Association. The state boxing commission has been extremely encouraging and cooperative, was, offen, is not something we are used to and that’s been a breath of fresh air. We’re going to put on a good event and plan to be back more often next year.”
New England cruiserweight champion Chris Traietti (24-4, 19 KOs), fighting out of Quincy (MA), will fight in an eight-round bout to be contested at a 185-pounds catch-weight. A former World Boxing Council United States cruiserweight titlist, Traietti is a college graduate who did one tour of duty in Iraq while serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Talented Quincy lightweight Ryan “Der polnische Prinz” Kielczweski (26-3, 8 KOs) will be showcased in a six-round bout.
Entertaining Hartford (CT) light heavyweight prospect Richie “Popeye der Seemann” Rivera (4-0, 3 KOs) will put his undefeated record on the line in a six-round fight.

“This card features some of the best talent in New England,” Shearn added, “including undefeated Richie Rivera, to go along with New Hampshire natives Ricky Ford and Russell Kimber. Also slated to be in action are contender Ryan Kielczweski, New England cruiserweight champ Chris Traietti and undefeated prospect Mike O’Han, Jr. We expect some good scrapes.”
