Gleason’s Gym will host it’s ninth annual Masters Clinic and boxing show Février 16-18,2017.
All participants will be invited to compete on the Gleason’s Team against an English team in London on Mars 31, 2017.
You will be taking a vacation to London. You must make your own arrangements including airfare, hotel and food.
The clinic will be staffed with Hall of Fame Champions, World Champions both past and current and ranked World Class Trainers.

Gleason’s Gym will host the seventh Annual All Female Boxing Clinic on Avril 13, 14 et 15, 2017.
There will be two days of boxing basics followed by a sanctioned all female boxing show.
The training will be handled by Gleason’s top female trainers and our female World Champions.
The amateur show will be sanctioned by USABoxingmetro. You will need a book to fight.

BROOKLYN (Juin 26, 2016) – Les combats de prix sont revenus sur CBS Samedi avec un candidat du combat de l'année en tant que champion du monde invaincu des poids welters Keith Thurman devancé l'ancien champion du monde Shawn Porter dans une décision serrée mais unanime 115-113 par les trois juges du ring.

 

Le 12,718 les fans présents au Barclays Center de Brooklyn et les téléspectateurs à travers les États-Unis. regarder le premier événement de boxe aux heures de grande écoute sur CBS depuis Muhammed Ali-Leon Spinks dans 1978 ont eu droit à une bagarre entre deux des stars les plus brillantes de la division glamour de la boxe.

 

Thurman (27-0, 22 KOs) et Porter (26-2-1, 16 KOs) combiné pour jeter 1200 coups de poing dans l'événement SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING sur CBS, présenté par Premier Boxing Champions. La confrontation phare était une histoire de précision contre. activité, alors que Thurman atterrissait 50 pour cent de ses coups en puissance, par rapport à 38 pour cent pour Porter, et 44 pour cent de son total de coups par rapport à seulement 36 pour cent pour le challenger. Il étouffe beaucoup ses coups et rend difficile la tâche des juges.. J'ai pu le bercer avec du clair, des coups efficaces et je crois que c'était la différence aujourd'hui.

 

«Je lui donnerais une revanche. C'était un super combat. C'était un grand adversaire. Tout le monde disait qu'il serait mon adversaire le plus coriace à ce jour.. Je n’ai pas réussi à le laisser tomber, mais je l’ai bouclé plusieurs fois.

L'ancien champion du monde Porter, un éternel outsider mais un gentleman accompli, ne s'est pas plaint d'être du côté des perdants lors de sa deuxième décision serrée dans un combat pour le titre.

 

« Nous avons travaillé dur, Keith est un grand champion," Porter a dit. "Mon père dit de garder la tête haute. Je pense que je gagné le combat, mais je suis satisfait car le concurrent est sorti ce soir.

 

“Nous avons besoin de cette revanche. Je sais que les fans veulent cette revanche. S'il me donne une autre chance, Je vais travailler dur sur le ring et repartir avec son titre.”

 

Le combat d'ouverture de l'émission télévisée CBS présentait un affrontement de super poids welters invaincus alors que Jarrett Hurd est passé de prospect à prétendant légitime dans la classe des 154 livres avec un dominant 10e TKO terminé Oscar Molina.

 

Hurd (18-0, 12 KOs) je dois travailler tôt, Molina au sol pour la première fois de sa carrière lors du premier tour avec un puissant contre-uppercut droit. “Ce combat ici me place parmi les meilleurs prétendants de la division.. J'avais l'impression que j'aurais pu faire trois ou quatre tours de plus. Je devenais plus fort à mesure que le combat avançait. Nous retournons directement au gymnase pour pouvoir y retourner.”

 

Molina (13-1-1, 10 KOs) protesté, mais à moins d'un superbe KO, il n'était qu'à quelques secondes de subir la première défaite de sa carrière via une décision unanime..

 

“J'avais l'impression que Hurd lançait beaucoup de coups de poing au dixième round mais ils ne me faisaient pas vraiment mal.," Molina a dit. "Il restait occupé mais il ne m'a jamais vraiment fait de mal.

 

"Je suis allé bas et j'avais la tête baissée et il m'a rattrapé avec cet uppercut au premier tour. Il m'a eu avec un tir auquel je ne m'attendais pas mais c'était définitivement un renversement éclair.. Je suis pas blessé.

 

“J'étais censé utiliser beaucoup plus mon jeu de jambes mais j'ai fini par étouffer mes tirs. Il avait une défense maladroite avec beaucoup de flexions et je n'arrivais pas à trouver le rythme..

 

“C'était une grande opportunité pour moi et j'avais l'impression d'avoir mené un bon combat.. je reviendrai plus fort. On va travailler sur beaucoup de choses et y retourner.”

Beaucoup pensaient que Dominic Breazeale ne serait pas capable de résister à votre puissance et à votre vitesse., mais étiez-vous reconnaissant d'avoir l'opportunité de travailler un peu plus sur vos compétences en boxe?

"Bien, c'est dur parce qu'on voit qu'ils sont blessés à chaque tir – enfin, pas à chaque coup – mais quand tu commences à les attraper, ils peuvent sentir les tirs avec ces gants de dix onces. Si, c'est juste une question de temps, mais en même temps je ne voulais pas recevoir de foin au retour.

 

"Ça a été dur, j'ai eu deux semaines de congé après mon dernier combat, et je suis retourné directement au gymnase donc c'était dur. Je profite d'une petite pause sympa pour une fois et je peux ensuite revenir avec des batteries rechargées.”

 

Nous savons que Deontay Wilder regardait le combat. As-tu un message pour lui, le champion WBC?

“Personne inspirante incroyable. Il a été patient, 30-combats étranges [et] a mis la main sur le WBC [courroie]. je fais de même. Je pars aux États-Unis. avec SHOWTIME qui me soutient également. Si, il a regardé ça.

 

“Il peut en tirer tout ce qu'il veut, mais c'est tellement différent quand vous êtes sur le ring les uns avec les autres. Alors un jour, nous pourrons découvrir ce que chacun fait.”

 

Qui veux-tu combattre ensuite?

“Eh bien, je pense que ça va devoir être comme ça [Joseph] Parker. Je regardais vraiment Fury… J'espère qu'il ira mieux bientôt. Il s'est malheureusement blessé à la cheville, ce qui l'a reporté parce que j'espérais avoir ce moment en hiver si tout se passait bien 9 juillet comme ça l'a faitce soir, mais il va falloir reprogrammer ça et en attendant, nous pouvons regarder d'autres adversaires comme Parker, s'il est vacant, ou n'importe qui d'autre que les gens veulent.”

“Everybody kept talking about the sparring video, so I just decided to put it out. Sparring is sparring and fighting is fighting. This fight will be judged and this time I’ll have eight-ounce gloves on.

“I feel like if Floyd Mayweather comes back, he should fight the winner of this matchup. I believe that will be me.
“I’m not going to go in there looking for a knockout and throw my hands wildly. I’m going to keep up the pace that I normally keep up. I’m a great boxer. People consider me a boxer, but I may surprise you.”
JARRETT HURD
“I’m thankful for this opportunity. This is a great shot for me right now. In my last fight I had an opportunity similar to this. I was a fill-in for television and I did what I was supposed to do.
“Success is accomplished when preparation meets opportunity. I know things like this can happen. It doesn’t change anything. We’re going to go out and do what we trained for.
“You always get butterflies before getting in the ring but that’s normal. Molina is very experienced and has good hand speed but I know what I can do. We’re ready for this.

“I’m going to go out there and put on another terrific performance. Molina, he’s an Olympian and he has a lot of experience. He’s a crafty fighter and we’re going to do what we have to do to get the victory.

“Hurd is a tall and lanky fighter. I saw his last fight and I see that he does well with guys who are flat footed. My boxing skills and my footwork are something he’s never seen before. Frank Galarza was tailor-made for Hurd and I think I’m going to be able to give him different looks.
“I’m a boxer-puncher and I can adapt to different styles. I also have power for big knockouts but my boxing skills are most important.
“Fighting in the Olympics taught me to adapt to different styles. I have a fan-friendly style and I’m excited to put on a show.”

NEW YORK (Juin 22, 2016) – Their peers in the welterweight division – champions du monde, former champions, contenders and top prospects – can’t pick a definitive winner between defending WBA 147-pound king Keith “Une Fois” Thurman (26-0, 22 KOs) et ancien champion du monde “Afficher L'Heure” Shawn Porter (26-1-1, 16 KOs).

To be honest with you it’s a 50-50 lutte, but I would give the edge to Keith Thurman by a very close decision.”
Kell Brook (Welterweight Champion IBF):”This is a great fight, one I can’t wait to watch. If Shawn can stick to his boxing I think he can become world champion again on points, but Keith is heavy-handed and he could walk Shawn onto one – it’s really a pick ’em fight for me.”
Errol Spence Jr. (Invaincu welterweight): “I think this is a great fight between young fighters with good skill. Shawn throws a lot of punches while Thurman is a boxer who can punch too. I know Shawn will be aggressive and it should make for a great fight. If Keith can box and keep Shawn Porter on the outside I see Keith Thurman winning. If Shawn stays on the inside and stays in the chest of Keith, I see him winning.”
Autres Berto (Former Welterweight Champion): “Shawn is going to come, but I think Keith will be on his toes and box but also drop hard shots as well when Shawn comes in. Keith can be very versatile in there and has a lot of great skills, while Shawn is more like a bull. Keith will hurt or knock Shawn down but will keep coming all night.”
Sammy Vazquez (Invaincu welterweight): “Shawn is a pressure fighter and Thurman used to be a pressure fighter but now he boxes. It’s really hard for me to decide who is going to come out on top. Thurman has good power. It all depends on how Shawn is able to take Thurman’s punches. I think Thurman because of the power but Shawn will bring it for 12 Les manches.”
Robert Guerrero (Former Welterweight Champion): “This is a fight the fans are going to love watching. Both Thurman and Porter bring exciting styles to the ring. I think if Porter can keep the fight on the inside he’ll have a better chance to come out victorious. But Keith Thurman is a very smart and powerful fighter and will make the right adjustments. I just think Thurman is going to outbox Porter. I’m picking Thurman to win by decision in a very tough fight.”
Luis Collazo (Former Welterweight Champion): “I’m not sure who the favorite is, but I’m going with Porter. I like his style and I think it’s going to be interesting to see how Thurman holds up with the pressure Porter is going to bring.”
