SAN ANTONIO, TX (Září 9, 2018) – Včera v noci TMB & PRB Zábava prezentovány “Fight Night at the Scottish Rite 2” a ten-bout card that took place at the Scottish Rite Theatre in downtown San Antonio. In the six-round main event, local fighters, Gilbert Venegas a Armando Cardenas gave the fans a crowd-pleasing showdown.
Cardenas, who had the height and reach advantage, was doing his best to box from the outside, but was getting caught with overhand rights by Venegas. At the end of round two, Venegas dropped Cardenas with a looping right hand. Cardenas wasn’t hurt to bad and came back strong in round three. Venegas then started landing pounding body shots, slowing down Cardenas’ comeback. Another overhand right by Venegas dropped Cardenas for the second time in round four. Venegas followed with a vicious left hook to the body that put Cardenas down once again in round three. Cardenas was badly hurt but made it to the final round. Both fighters went out with a blaze of glory as they went toe to toe in the last seconds of round six. 4-Round Middleweight Bout

CARLTON, MN. (Květen 18, 2016) – Unbeaten cruiserweight contender Murat “Iron” Gassiev (23-0, 17 KO) scored a sensational knockout victory over Jordan Shimmell (20-2, 16 KO) V hlavní události Champions Premier Boxerské TOE k patě ÚTERÝ na FS1 a Champions Boxerské na FOX DeportesÚterý night from Black Bear Casino Resort in Carlton, MN in the Otter Creek Event Center.
Gassiev delivered a powerful left hook that put Shimmell out on the mat and halted the cruiserweight title elimination bout immediately at 2:54 prvního kola. Shimmell was able to move effectively for much of the round and had landed an early combination that got the attention of Gassiev.
The Russian fighter, who now trains in California with Abel Sanchez, was able to start working through the defense of Shimmell with his jab as the round wore on. The final blow came after Gassiev imitated a right hand and delivered the critical left hook while Shimmell was caught counter-punching.
The co-main event of the night saw local favorite Joey “Minnesota Ice” Abell (32-9, 30 KO) deliver a dominant performance in knocking out previously unbeaten Wes Nofire (19-1, 15 KO) in their heavyweight showdown.
The former title challenger bothered Nofire early and often from his southpaw stance and was successful with his left hand throughout the fight. Abell snuck in a strong right hook in round two that stunned Nofire before he delivered multiple left hooks to score the early knockdown.
Nofire tried to weather the storm but a big right hand from Abell again put Nofire down early in the third round. Nofire almost made it out of the round but Abell’s power in the left hand proved to be too much as a series of strong shots sent Nofire down for the final time before his corner stopped the fight.
Abell could hardly miss as he connected on 42 percent of his punches on his way to the stoppage at 2:12 ze třetího kola.

Shaw controlled the action with superior boxing skills and strong combinations throughout the fight. Kelly had some success targeting the body of Shaw but was unable to maintain a consistently effective attack.
The punch stats were in line with the judges’ skóre 60-54 as Shaw out landed Kelly 95 na 56 while connecting at 34 percent mark to Kelly’s 23 procento.

“I just didn’t get the shots I was looking for. I thought I was going to be able to back him up more with my jab. He stayed his distance and lunged in from out of range.
“One of the head butts caught me pretty good and I just couldn’t see what he was coming back with.
“The head butts were giving me problems and he followed up on me after them. He was a little stronger than I expected but I’ve been hit hard like that by other fighters.
“Jsem zklamaný. I trained really hard for the fight. I’ve never had a problem taking power before. It’s just one of those things that happens in everybody’s career, but I’ll be back.”
STEPHAN SHAW
“I felt great in there. It felt good to be victorious in my first fight on PBC. I fought a guy with a lot of experience and did what I had to do.
“I’m the best kept secret in America. That’s my motto.”

IMMOKALEE, FL. “I just want to keep moving on from here and moving forward. I want to move up the ladder.”

“He was a strong fighter and he moved very well. I was able to handle everything he had and I thought I was in the fight.
“He has a lot of power. He’s not the best guy I’ve faced but he did enough to get the win tonight.”
JOSEPH ELEGELE
“I felt good out there. I did my thing. I told everybody that I was going to stop this guy and that’s what I did.
“I doubled my left hand and I knew I hurt him. He couldn’t take any more shots so I finished him.
“I want to fight someone in the top 15. I want to compete with the best. It’s my time.”
DENNIS GALARZA
“My opponent was very tough. We fought eight hard rounds with a veteran.
“I wanted to get him out of there but we stayed patient and stuck to the game plan. I’m getting better every time out there.
“It’s my second time going eight rounds and soon I’ll be ready for ten rounds anyone that wants to get in there with me.
SAMUEL AMAOKO
“I went out and gave it my all. I thought it was closer and that I was landing some shots with more power.
“He is a very good fighter but I fought well and tried to get the win.”

Dyah Davis returns to the ring this Sunday as he takes on Edgar Perez at the Seminole Casino Immokalee

Dyah Davis, “My Father’s spirit lives in me”
IMMOKALEE, FL. (Leden 28, 2016) – It has been about a month since Howard Davis Jr. zemřel.
The former Olympic star and professional was one of the most well liked people in the boxing community. During the process of Davis falling ill, his son Dyah was by his side and he now vows to carry on the boxing legacy set forth by his father.
Davis of Coconut Creek, Florida will be back in the ring for the first time in a 17 měsíce, will take on Edgar Perez v neděli at the Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee.
Davis has been trying to get back in the ring sooner, but could not find anyone to step up and fight him.
“I was trying to get fights and I always am decent shape,”řekl 34 letý Davis.
“I guess that I am too much trouble for contenders and too dangerous for prospects. I guess that means I am high risk and no reward.”
When his father passed away on December 30, 2015, Davis began to get even more motivated about his career.
“I found my motivation with the passing of my father. His legacy will continue on through me. His spirit is in me. My father was my best friend. He always knew that I have the ability and now it is time to show the world that.”
With a possible fight on the horizon and his father living out his last days, Davis made the most of his time with Howard.
“My main objective in his last few weeks was to spend as much time as possible. We didn’t talk too much boxing. We watched some of his old tapes as we just saw the impact he made on so many people. It made me feel great to see the people who reached out following his passing. Lots of people reached out in so many ways.”
Dyah feels he has a new start in boxing as he has inked a deal with Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions.
“I am fortunate that Marshall is giving me a shot. He has put on a lot of shows in the past couple years and I am looking for bigger fights. As seen by my record, I will fight anybody. It just seems everybody wants an easy route these days. My route is that I want to fight only big fights. I feel like I can get there by fighting the best. This is just a fight to get back in the mix of things. I really don’t know anything about him. I will get in there and take care of him.”

The 28-year-old entered the professional ranks in 2012 and is unbeaten since. He defeated Martin Wright in October 2015 and will now take on the Brazilian Souza Santos.
