Bethlehem, PA (November 17, 2017) – Frank De Alba is ready to close out 2017 with a bang when he takes on Ivan Najera (17-3, 8 KO) in the ten-round super featherwight bout Tuesday night. 21 november bij The Sands Bethlehem Event Center inBethlehem, PA.
De show wordt bevorderd door King's Promotions.
De Alba van Reading, Vader. heeft een record van 22-2 met negen knockouts.
De 30 year-old De Alba will be looking for his 6th consecutive victory as he has had a terrific year with wins over German Meraz and Ryan Kielczewski (26-2) in 2017.
“Alles is goed. I put in a hard eight-week camp,” Said De Alba.
De Alba and Najera were originally supposed to get together earlier this year, but Najera had to pull out.
I am excited to be able to finally get in the ring with him. We were supposed to fight in June. He pulled out at the last minute and that made me angry, because I trained hard for a full camp, but now I finally get my opportunity to fight him.
A win over Najera and a 6th straight win will De Alba should facilitate big opportunities for De Alba in 2018.
A win over him will have me on top and on my way. It will set me up for a big opportunity in 2018. Hopefully a win will get me a shot at one of those major regional titles and then eventually a world title. I just hope everyone comes out and support this show op dinsdag. Everyone knows when a Puerto Rican fighter and a Mexican fighter get together, the fight usually produces fireworks and Tuesday night should be no different.
In de acht-ronde co-functie, ongeslagen Mykal Fox (14-0, 4 KO) of Forestville, MD neemt het over Manuel Reyes (11-3-1, 5 KO) of Los Angeles in a junior welterweight bout.

Roy Jones – Bobby Gunn Press Conference quotes

Skill vs. Wil”

LIVE ON PAY-PER-VIEW–FRIDAY FEBRUARY 17TH
Wilmington, DE (Februari 16, 2017)Below are quotes from Wednesday’s press conference in advance of Friday night’sSkill vs. Wil” Pay-Per-View showdown between Roy, Jones, Jr. and Bobby Gunn.
Roy Jones Jr.
On Bobby Gunn as an opponent:
The thing I stand for and respect and representI love a person who won’t quit, en [Bobby Gunn] won’t quit for nothing. Hij heeft 72 wint met 72 knock-outs – bare-knuckleyou’re really a professional bully! You just beat people up for the hell of itIt’s what I love. People ask why I’m so motivated to fight Bobby Gunnit’s because what I stand for in boxing, he is in bare-knuckle. I respect that.
On the opportunity to be in the ring on Friday:
We are getting an opportunity to share the ring, and entertain the people while we share the ring, and I am at-heart an entertainer. And this man is a killer. I’m not saying that this man is not a killer, it’s just that I trust in my abilities to go out and do things differently because that’s who I am.
On his conditioning:
I am in very good shape for the first time in four or five years. I feel better than I have felt in a long time. I know I have my hands full, and I know my hands are ready for battle. I know this man is coming to bring it. But that’s what we live for; that’s what we love. Come Friday night be ready for a very entertaining fight.
Bobby Gunn

On Roy Jones Jr. as an opponent:
I’m born and bred a fighting man, since birth. I’m fighting one of the greatest fighters who ever lived. I’ve seen a lot of horsesh!t on the Internet, people running him down. Saying he’s too old, this or that. Why don’t you guys get in the ring and fight him, vervolgens? Let me tell you something right nowI respect him more today than [the fighter he was] 20 jaren geleden. Because he’s more dangerous, he’s cagey, he’s a veteran. There’s nothing you can do to him he hasn’t seen.
On his mental and physical condition coming into the fight:
I’m coming here to fight my guts out. I’m in good shape. I’ve been training hard for this one for a long timethis man’s been in my head a long time. I go to sleep with Roy, and I wake up with Roy. He’s part of my family, we’re sick of talking about Roy. I can’t wait to see him Friday night and get it over with! I’m coming here to fight.
On critics of the matchup:
In a few days here, me and Roy are going to battle. We’re doing to prove a lot of critics wrong, a lot of doubters. When that bell rings, it’s only me and him in there. Om eerlijk te zijn, critics mean zero. Their opinions mean nothing… [Roy Jones Jr.] said he’d come and fight me, and he’s here. He has the heart of the lion. But we’re going to get it down. I’ll shake your hand today, but I’ll tell you [to Jones Jr.] we’re in for a good fight, both of us. Roy Jones won’t forget my name for the rest of his life.

In the main event the legendary Roy Jones, Jr. takes on Bare Knuckle legend Bobby Gunn for the WBF Cruiserweight title LIVE ON PAY-PER-VIEW bij de Chase Center in Wilmington, Delaware.

Cruz was dominant throughout the fight and in round four he rocked Green with a left hook that had his opponent stumbling into the corner. In round seven, Cruz landed a perfect right and left hook that put Green down.
Sensing his moment, Cruz quickly finished the deal with two hard lefts that forced referee Benjy Esteves to stop the fight at 1:32 of round seven. Cruz’s power punches proved to be most dangerous as he connected on 46 percent of them.
In het tv-opener, Christopher Brooker (7-1, 5 KO) worked hard and earned an eight-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Leo Hall in a light heavyweight bout.

He was far more accurate throughout the night, landing 49 percent of his total punches and 53 procent van zijn macht stoten.
In his strongest moment of the fight in round seven, Brooker landed a perfect right on the chin that drew a big reaction from crowd. De juryleden scoorden het gevecht 80-72 en 79-73 twice all for Brooker.
Hier is wat de vechters te zeggen had Dinsdag:
OMAR DOUGLAS
“Ik voel me geweldig. I got some great rounds. The judges might have made it a little bit closer than it really was. But I went into his hometown and did what I do.
He was about as tough as my last fight. The only thing tougher than the last one was that I had to come here on the road and do it.
This builds me. It makes me a better fighter. I had a great opportunity tonight and I jumped on it. I feel like I’m the better fighter and tonight I proved it.
FRANK DEALBA
It was a very competitive fight. I think I landed more punches. He was more aggressive, but I was landing more.
This is boxing. I just come here to put on a show for the great fans. Ik dacht dat ik won het gevecht. I knew I beat him inside.
MIGUEL CRUZ
“Het was een geweldig gevecht, he was a tough opponent who was very agile and mobile. I had to be patient and it was great to get those rounds. I’m coming for the 147-pound division.
I was definitely trying to break him down slowly. He was mobile, but I didn’t expect him to be so quick.
I was hurting him every time I hit him and I finally got him out of there.
VIRGIL GREEN
The hits to the back of the head were the problem. I wanted the ref to do something about it but that’s what hurt me. I never recovered from it.
I felt like I was frustrating him and out-boxing him. But I never recovered from that blow.
CHRISTOPHER BROOKER
“Het was een goed gevecht. Hij is een goede bokser, but I had to keep it rough. He has some good experience that kicked in, but my will, my heart and my training kicked in too.
My loss is what got me motivated for this performance. No more setbacks, only get backs.
LEO HALL
I tried to work, We were working in there. I wasn’t surprised by anything. Het was een goed gevecht.
I pushed myself. We got in there and fought. Er is geen excuus. We’re going back to work.
