Perrella to face Martin December 8 sur FS1

Fort Myers, FL (Novembre 30, 2017) – Welterweight Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella returns to the ring against Alex “Chi Town Heat” Martin Vendredi, Décembre 8 at Hialeah Park in Miami, FL.
The Perrella-Martin showdown is scheduled for 10 rounds and airs on FS1 at 9 PM ET as part of Premier Boxing Champions’ “PBC FS1” série. The bout proceeds a light heavyweight matchup between former world champion Jean Pascal and unbeaten Ahmed Elbiali.
Fighting for the first time since a disappointing setback against Yordenis Ugas in September 2016, Perrella’s an outstanding 14-1 avec 13 victoires par KO. The Fort Myers native has impressive stoppage victories over David Grayton (14-0), Ramon Ayala (25-5-1), Abraham Alvarez (20-8-1) and Patrick Boozer (11-3). A self-described gym rat, the 28-year-old has spent the last year fine-tuning his skills while also allowing a lingering injury to heal.
Living and fighting out of Chicago, IL, Martin is 13-2 as a pro and has 5 victories via knockout. En 2016, he scored a career best win by outpointing Juan Carlos Abreu (19-2-1) plus de huit rounds. Prior to entering the paid ranks, Martin was one of America’s top amateur boxers, gagner la 2012 Golden Gloves nationales, 3 Chicago Golden Gloves titles and captured a silver medal at the 2011 Golden Gloves nationales. (Odessa, FL) Don’t miss the opportunity to pay homage to Stars such as Kevin Sullivan and JJ Dillon, while the history of Championship Wrestling in Florida celebrated once again at CWF Legends FanFest 2 sur Samedi, Octobre 28, 2017 à partir de 2:00 PM – 7:30 PM EDT. Sullivan, who began his run in CWF during the early 1970s, was also a key player in the 1980s as he and his followers joined “The Darkside.” Kevin went on to book CWF in the 1980’s before going on to perform in the NWA & WCW, where he is also known for booking WCW during The Lundi Night Wars.

 

James J. Dillon rose to CWF prominence in 1975 as a wrestler, holding multiple championships in the state before returning as a Manager in the early 80’s and booking CWF for some time. He gained greater fame when he went to the NWA and become the Manager for the legendary “Four Horsemen”. JJ also played huge behind the scenes rolls in both WWE & WCW Talent Management. In addition to Sullivan & Dillon, other CWF Favorites at this event will be Rocky Johnson, Brian Blair, Tony Marino, & Sherri Lee.

 

At the end of the Fanfest portion of this event, we will again honor CWF Legends with a special award ceremony and induction into the CWF Hall Of Fame. Honorees include the man widely considered as the greatest wrestling announcer in the history of the business, Gordon Solie, as well as the top heel in the formation of CWF (and widely considered one of the top heels ever in pro wrestling), The Great Malenko. The friends and families of Mr. Solie and Mr. Malenko will be in attendance to honor these two heroes of CWF! This special CWF HOF award ceremony is open to all in attendance at the Fanfest!

Heavyweight Factory Team, Including Newest Signee Ivan Dychko, Provide Thousands of Meals to Miami Victims of Hurricane Irma

This past weekend in Miami, Heavyweight Factory Gym Founder, Kris Lawrence, and a group of their prominent fighters, which included recently signed two-time Olympic Super Heavyweight Bronze Medallist Ivan Dychko, opened their hearts to the victims of Hurricane Irma by holding a free barbecue.
Over two 10-hour shifts Samedi et Dimanche, the group cooked and served over 2500 pieces of chicken, 1000 sausages, 800 racks of ribs, as well as baked beans and potato salad, to a hungry community still feeling the effects of the devastating hurricane.
Standing 6′ 9″ tall, Kazakhstan’s Dychko was an imposing sight at first, but quickly warmed the hearts of locals with his warm smile and tireless efforts to help. Despite the oppressive heat, he and former heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe, who also volunteered his time, posed for hundreds of pictures between servings.
“Ivan was amazing,” said Heavyweight Factory Director of Boxing, Henry Rivalta. “He hung in there while the sun was brutal. His desire to stay with us and make sure the neighborhood was fed was just awesome.”

Well-known for being very giving to the needy, Lawrence is active with several charities and, every Christmas, loads a 40-foot container with toys and distributes them to children on the streets of his native Liberty City.

“Giving back to the community gave our team a chance to join together and provide nice warm meals, which have been hard to find, due to the circumstances of Hurricane Irma,” continued Rivalta.
Dychko, a heavily decorated amateur, was also a two-time world amateur championships silver medallist. He and trainer Derek Santos are hard at work at the Heavyweight Factory for his highly anticipated professional debut on Septembre 28 in Kentucky.

Returning to the ring after a disputed defeat to Ruslan Chagaev in a 2014 combat pour le titre, Oquendo is co-promoted by future Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr.’s Square Ring Promotions and Hitz Boxing as he looks to become the first heavyweight champion from Puerto Rico since John Ruiz in 2001.
“This will be a great fight between two veteran American fighters,” Saïd Oquendo. “I’ve fought in Miami five times, plus, I train at the historic 5th Street Gym in Miami Beach, so I’m very comfortable here. Briggs has made South Florida his home and training camp for much of his career. He will be making his fourth start at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and his ninth in the state.
Representing the boxing hotbed of Brooklyn, Briggs (60-6-1, 53 KOs) seeks the third heavyweight world title in his long and eventful career. Briggs became a world champion in 2006 when he scored a 12th round stoppage of Siarhei Liakhovich. Briggs has faced the best heavyweights in the world and won the lineal heavyweight world title from George Foreman in 1997. He also defeated Ray Mercer in 2005, in addition to world title challenges of Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko. He enters this fight as the winner of his last nine contests, including eight knockouts and a 12-round decision over Raphael Zumbano Love.
Originally from Puerto Rico and fighting out of Chicago throughout his pro career, Oquendo (37-8, 24 KOs)looks to capitalize on his fourth opportunity and capture a world title. The slick-boxer has faced a slew of top heavyweights throughout his career, including narrow decision losses to Evander Holyfield and James Toney, plus title challenges of Chris Byrd and John Ruiz. The 44-year-old owns recent victories over Derric Rossy and Joey Abell in addition to triumphs over Clifford Etienne, David Izon and Javier Mora.

Sur Samedi, Novembre 5, 2016, Warriors Boxing présentera “Nuit des étoiles montantes,” une soirée unique de boxe professionnelle au milieu de l'atmosphère de fête tous azimuts de la Floride #1 Salle de concert/club dans l'état, Club Cinéma à Pompano Beach, Floride, et mettant en vedette bon nombre des perspectives les plus prometteuses du sud de la Floride, ainsi que de nombreuses surprises et invités spéciaux.
La célébration de la boxe sera animée par un quintette de combattants de Floride, JD “Pretty Boy” Martinez (1-0), Daniel “râpeux” Mis (2-0, 1 KO), la chasteté martin (3-0, 1 KO), Antoine Martinez (pour les débuts) et Robert Daniels Jr. (pour les débuts) dans des combats séparés de quatre rounds.

27-poids super welter d'un an JD “Pretty Boy” Martinez est né dans la boxe. Son père, Antoine Sr., a été une fois noté #6 dans le monde et son oncle, Fernando “Chien enragé” Martinez a été évalué #4. Martinez était 14-2 en amateur et a remporté le 2009 Golden Gloves et Florida PAL Championships. Un entrepreneur à succès loin du gymnase, Martine possède une entreprise d'arbres de Noël qui fournit 12000 arbres chaque année dans la région de Miami, ainsi qu'un point de vente de citrouilles qui fournit plus de 3000 citrouilles. “Mon objectif est de le faire intelligemment en boxe,” a déclaré Martinez. “Mon père et mon oncle ont combattu des lions invaincus dans leur premier 10 combats. Je pense que s'ils me construisent correctement, je peux être une attraction locale. Je suis très excité de me battre devant autant d'amis et de famille.”
28-ans Daniel “râpeux” Mis est un poids léger invaincu de Miami. Perrella giving back to Fort Myers with Goodfella’s Great Students

Fort Myers, FL (Août 21, 2016) – Unbeaten welterweight knockout artist Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella and Team Perrella are proud to announce they’ll give back to Fort Myers through an initiative called “Goodfella’s Great Students.”
Created by Perrella, “Goodfella’s Great Students” provides an additional incentive for students to excel in the classroom. Each month, Perrella and head trainer Michael Nowling will dedicate time to standout students selected by school administration. The selected pupils will receive personal invites and get transported to and from Syndicate Boxing Club, where they’ll participate in a fun workout run by Perrella and Nowling. Actuellement, Coronado High School is signed up for the free program and multiple schools have expressed serious interest in joining.
"I’ve been in the Fort Myers area my entire life,” said Perrella, who has an outstanding record of 14-0 avec 13 victoires par KO. “I love it here and grew tremendously not just as a fighter but as a man. For everything Fort Myers has done for me, rewarding hard working students is the least I could do. The program we’ve created is a great way to assist the community and local schools. Plus important, it’s another reason to be an academic superstar. I’m wholeheartedly looking forward to meeting and spending time with these students each month.”
Coronado’s principal Joelle Lyman is thrilled about the program and personally invited Perrella to introduce himself to her students Vendredi, Août 26.
"The staff and students at Coronado High School are elated to be given the opportunity to work with Bryant Perrella,” said Lyman. “Student participants will be able to see, first hand, the results of hard work and dedication. M. Perrella will be opening doors for our students that would have otherwise remained closed.
