Hometown favorite Pulev (24-1, 13 КО) will make the first defense of the World Boxing Association (WBA) Inter-Continental heavyweight title he captured this past December. 6′ 4 ½ Pulev, fighting at home in Sofia, Bulgaria, captured the vacant WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title in his last fight this past December, in which former world champion Samuel Peters (36-5) retired after the third round.

Нью-Ёрк, Нью-Ёрк (Жнівень 26, 2016) — FITE TV, in conjunction with the World MMA Association (WMMAA), announced today that it will be broadcasting the inaugural WMMAA Pan-American Division Championships live on FITE TV starting with the preliminary matches Субота, Кастрычнік 8, and the final Sunday October 9, 2016.
