FFC 34 On Nov. 9 At Fight Dome Las Vegas Has Been Canceled

Medical Concerns And Fighter Safety Led To The Cancelation Of FFC 34

LAS VEGAS, NV (Noiembrie 8, 2018) – Due to reasons involving medical issues, Final Fight Championship has announced that “FFC 34” on November 9th has been officially canceled.

 

 

 

Nick Sadeghi, MD of Athlete Advantage Medical in Las Vegas, NV, released the following statement to Final Fight Championship.

 

The Nevada State Athletic Commission requires a series of medical examinations to be completed by a professional fighter in order to determine the medical condition of a fighter, the outcome of those exams determining if the fighter will be cleared to compete or not. Of utmost concern is the fighter’s physical well-being. It was determined by independent physicians conducting the exams for FFC as well as the Nevada State Athletic Commission that several fighters scheduled to compete on the November 9th fight card would not be able to compete due to abnormal MRA findings which identified small aneurysms in the brain. For obvious reasons, these fighters could not be cleared to compete without proper medical workup. This includes consulting with a Neurosurgeon and an Interventional Radiologist. Some fighters may be cleared after this, but some may need a surgical procedure to correct the aneurysm before he or she can continue to fight in the future.

 

 

 

FFC CEO/President, Orsat Zovko, issued his own statement regarding the unfortunate cancelation.

 

 

 

“We are disappointed to make this announcement, but on such short notice it was impossible to move forward because four of our six fights were stopped by the commission and medical personnel, including our Main Event and Co-Event,” said Zovko.

 

 

 

“We must follow the strict rules and guidelines of the Nevada Athletic Commission, and we respect the decisions made by the medical community, because it is in the best interest of the fighters, and to protect their health is the ultimate goal.”

Las Vegas, NV, (Noiembrie 2, 2018) – Evenimentul principal de activitate al “FFC 33” delivered an upset and a new champion, as Mykta Chub (18-7-0) defeated previously unbeaten champion Andi Vrtacic (10-1-0) prin decizie divizat (47-48, 48-47, 48-47) to win the FFC Middleweight Kickboxing Title.

 

 

 

Chub and Vrtacic displayed a great deal of endurance during their five round war. Chub was able to pin Vrtacic into the corners quite often during this fight, frustrating the young Vrtacic and preventing him from using his signature high kicks. Vrtacici landed some nice head kicks and few solid combinations but it wasn’t enough to impress the judges, allowing Chub to steal the win, and the title.

 

 

 

În Co-Main Event, which involved two very exciting MMA lightweight fighters, Darrick Minner (22-9-0) wasted no time submitting former UFC Fighter, “Cassius” Clay Collard (16-8-1) by rear naked choke in the very first round. The submission victory, which was the 19lea of Minner’s career, only took 31 seconds to execute.

 

 

 

Andre Keys (10-1-0) went the distance with Randy Fuentes (7-7-1) in their Super Welterweight Boxing bout. Keys won by split decision (55-59, 55-59, 58-56) in a fight that featured both fighters standing in the pocket and trading hard shots for the majority of their six round fight.

 

 

 

In a Kickboxing Lightweight matchup, despite breaking his left arm in the fight, Chris McMillan (38-10-0) won a split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) against Teo Mikelic (18-7-0) in a fight that featured some vicious kicks and crisp punches by both fighters.

 

 

 

The night began with Sherrard Blackledge (1-0-0) winning his professional MMA debut by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-27) over Jordan Christensen (0-2-0) in the Welterweight division.

 

 

 

“Most of these fights ended up going the distance and the fighters did not disappoint tonight,” a declarat CEO-ul FFC / Fondator, Orsat Zovko. “FFC 33 showcased a lot of endurance and toughness and delivered an entertaining show for the fans.”

Mykyta Chub fights Andi Vrtacic for the FFC Middleweight Championship at Fight Dome

LAS VEGAS, NV, (Octombrie 30, 2018) – The main event is set for “FFC 33” and it will involve two explosive kickboxers from overseas. Mykyta Chub (17-7-0) of the Ukraine, bătălii Andi Vrtacic (10-0-0) Pula, Croația, for the FFC Middleweight Championship on November 2nd, at Fight Dome located at Caesars Entertainment’s Rio Las Vegas.

 

 

 

Both fighters have fought for FFC multiple times. Chub has a (3-1) record during his tenure with Final Fight Championship. Vrtacic, who is the defending middleweight champion, boasts a (4-0) record with FFC.

 

 

 

“The fans at Fight Dome Las Vegas loved our Kickboxing fights at FFC 31,” a declarat CEO-ul FFC / Fondator, Orsat Zovko. “And we are excited to have world champion kickboxers fighting for us again on November 2nd.”

LAS VEGAS, NV, (Octombrie 22, 2018) – Final Fight Championship welcomed a distinguished guest on Friday night, Octombrie. 19lea, and she was sitting ringside to support her husband. UFC Flyweight Fighter, Paige Vanzant, was in attendance for “FFC 32 – Graves vs. Seumanutafa” watching her spouse, Austin “DACĂ 47” Vanderford (6-0-0), deliver a blistering knockout to Edmilson Freitas (7-3-0) in the first round of their co-main event bout.

 

 

 

Vanderford won his sixth straight fight and kept his unblemished record in tact, after landing a solid left hand to the temple of Freitas at the 1:38 marca de o singură rundă. VanZant, as you can image, was filled with excitement as she watched her hubby win in such convincing and thrilling fashion.

 

 

 

“I loved it, I am proud of him”, said VanZant “I just have so much confidence in him, in this one I wasn’t really nervous at all, he is so prepared and ready for anything.”

 

 

 

Vanderford’s first round knockout of Freitas sent the crowd at Fight Dome Las Vegas into frenzy, and it allowed Vanderford to realize that he is getting one step closer to achieving all of his professional goals.

 

 

 

“I feel that I’m getting closer and closer to making things happen for me”, said Vanderford “I want to thank the FFC and the entire organization for giving me the opportunity and the fight, and I just knew if I connected with one of my power shots he (Freitas) was going to sleep.”

 

 

 

Needless to say, “FFC 32” was both a fun and productive night for the newlywed couple. VanZant and Vanderford tied the knot recently in an oceanfront ceremony on September 29lea.

 

 

 

“It was awesome, they (FFC) put on a great show here”, said VanZant “It’s cool that they (FFC) display the fighters this well and hopefully he (Vanderford) can fight here again.”

Las Vegas, NV, (Octombrie. 20, 2018) – Uneori lucrurile din viață sunt pur și simplu rapide și nedureroase. Majoritatea luptelor la FFC 32 totuși, au fost de fapt rapide și dureroase. Knockout, sa fim cinstiti, sunt de obicei destul de dureroase.

 

 

 

Evenimentul principal de vineri seara a fost una dintre singurele lupte la FFC 32 (care a fost un eveniment exclusiv MMA) asta nu s-a încheiat cu un knockout. Shelton “Gropar” Graves (9-3-0) l-a învins pe Carl “Apa de baie” Seumanutafa (11-9-0) prin decizie unanimă (49-46, 49-46, 49-46) pentru a câștiga titlul vacant de campionat FFC MMA Heavyweight.

 

 

 

Graves a făcut o treabă excelentă evitând să stea de la picioare la picioare cu artistul eliminator, Seumanutafa, petrecând cea mai mare parte a luptei apăsând pe Samoanul greu (Seumanutafa) ridicat de frânghii și folosind genunchii pe corp și o serie de repere rapide pentru a-și frustra adversarul. Strategia a lucrat, întrucât Seumanutafa era frustrat de presiunea constantă, ceea ce i-a permis lui Graves să-l țină pe frânghii și împotriva întinderii, înlăturând orice ocazie pentru un knockout al mărcii comerciale Seumanutafa.

 

 

 

În Co-Main Event, Greutate welter neînvinsă, Austin “DACĂ 47” Vanderford (6-0-0), și-a păstrat recordul fără cusur în tact când l-a zguduit pe Emilson “Războinicul amazonian” Freitas (7-3-0) cu o mână stângă frumoasă la templul de la 1:38 marca de o singură rundă. Vanderford câștigă cu KO doar pentru a doua oară în cariera sa profesională.

 

 

 

Greutate ușoară neînvinsă anterior, Ivan Erslan (6-1-0), a încercat să rămână neînvins ca profesionist, dar adversarul său, Branko Busick (3-1-0) a avut alte idei. Busick l-a trimis pe Erslan pe pânza de la 4:41 marca celei de-a doua runde cu mâna stângă solidă până la bărbie și tot ce a scris pentru Erslan. Busick câștigă prima victorie KO a tinerei sale cariere.

 

 

 

În divizia Lightweight, cum a promis, a fost o “grapplers paradis” atâta timp cât a durat… Și nu a durat foarte mult. Brandon “Kiba” Rețete (9-2-0) a supus Adam “Lovitura” Fierar (11-10-0) de Arm Triangle la 4:26 marca primei runde. Dacă țineți scorul, toate cele nouă victorii ale lui Ricetti au venit prin supunere.

LAS VEGAS, NV, (Octombrie. 14, 2018) – The debut of the all-new Fight Dome Las Vegas delivered an explosive night of fireworks at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino on Friday night. “FFC 31 Noaptea Campionilor” was certainly a night to remember.

 

 

 

“The Scorpion Sting” Mladen Brestovac delivered the knockout of the night, with a blistering high left kick to the head of Jhonata Diniz at the two-minute mark of Round 3.

 

 

 

The trademark left head kick of Brestovac sent Diniz crashing to the canvas. Cu victoria, Brestovac retains the FFC Heavyweight Kickboxing title and improves his record to (55-14-1.). Diniz, who was the aggressor for most of the fight and showcased his exciting come-forward style, scade la (16-6-0.)

Shkodran “The Albanian Warrior” Veseli (83-18-1) won the FFC Welterweight Kickboxing Title with a 4th Round KO stoppage vs. Francois “Bang Bang” Ambang (18-8-1). A series of solid punches from Veseli rocked Ambang and sent him to a kneeling position at the 1:23 mark of the Round number four.

 

 

 

In the boxing portion of the evening, Shawn Miller, of Troy, NY (19-4-1) won a unanimous decision victory in his ten round title fight with Dennis “Mongoose” Morris (14-3-1). Miller won by the scores of 100-90, 97-93, 97-93, earning him the WBU Cruiserweight Championship.

 

 

 

In the FFC MMA Welterweight Championship, Ben Egli lived up to his reputation as an expert submission artist by choking out Roberto Neves at the 3:21 marca de primul tur de scrutin. Egli won the fight by rear naked choke, something he has done a total of five times in his pro MMA career. The championship victory brings Egli’s record to (11-2-0) while Neves falls to (10-3-0).

LAS VEGAS, NV, (Octombrie. 1, 2018) – The main event is set for “FFC 31 Night of Champions” and it will consist of two rising stars in Mixed Martial Arts as Clay “Cassius” Collard (16-7-1) of Price, OUT, bătălii Dave “Insane” Courchaine (20-7-0) of Cheney, WA, for the FFC MMA Lightweight Championship at the all-new Fight Dome Las Vegas at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

 

 

 

After suffering two straight losses under the UFC banner in 2015, Collard returned to MMA in 2018 and responded with two straight victories, a TKO win over Troy Dennison, and a submission win (by triangle choke) against Carson Gregory.

 

 

 

As for Courchaine, he was on a five-fight win streak dating back to 2014 before losing to Arthur Estrazulas by 1st round KO in January of 2017. Both fighters are hungry and both fighters have something to prove when they step into the ring on Oct. 12.

 

 

 

There will be one other MMA title bout on the “Night of Champions” as Ben Egli (10-2-0) of Tigard, SAU, takes on Brazilian, Roberto Neves (10-3-0) for the FFC Welterweight Title. The remainder of the multi-discipline fight card will consist of championship bouts involving boxing and kickboxing.

 

 

 

The WBU cruiserweight title will be up for grabs in boxing as Dennis Morris (14-2-1) Milwaukee, WI, goes up against Shawn Miller (18-4-1) of Troy, NY.

 

 

 

In Kickboxing, Glory veteran, François Ambang (18-7-1) of Mechanicsville, VA (via Cameroon), will fight battle-tested Albanian, Shkodran Veseli (83-18-1) for the FFC Welterweight Title, and Brazilian, Jhonata Diniz (16-5-0) faces off against, Croatian sensation, Mladen Brestovac (54-14-1).

Final Fight Championship Makes History, With Multi-Year Combat Sports Agreement Involving, Rio Las Vegas and CBS Sports Network

CBS Sports Network and Final Fight Championship (FFC) announced today a multi-year partnership to make CBS Sports Network the exclusive television home of FFC. The first FFC event premieres live on CBS Sports Network from The Fight Dome at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Friday, Șapte. 28 (10:00PM, EST).

 

 

CBS Sports Network will air eight FFC events on Friday’s throughout the remainder of 2018. A champion will be crowned after each event with a belt as part of the national telecast.
