BOSTON (Mai 4, 2022) – Double olympienne dominicaine, léger Leonel de los Santos (6-0, 5 KOs), peut s'installer dans la région de Boston pour améliorer sa carrière de boxeur professionnel. En fait, il y a récemment passé un mois à préparer son dernier combat, qui a abouti à une victoire par décision en 6 rounds en mars dernier dans sa République dominicaine natale.


L'entraîneur de Santos, Ryan Roach, vit à Boston et il a présenté son poids léger invaincu à l'entraîneur Alex Rivera, et qui a rapporté des dividendes immédiats en termes d'amélioration.


Santos, 26, formé au Somerville Boxing Club sous Rivera, qui s'entraîne 26-0 poids welter Rashidi Ellis, avec qui Santos s'est battu plusieurs fois, et l'olympienne américaine Rashida Ellis, La soeur de Rashidi.


"Les conditions à notre camp d'entraînement à Boston étaient très bonnes," dit Santos. "J'ai appris beaucoup de nouvelles choses sur la boxe professionnelle d'Alex en peu de temps, surtout ma défense d'esquiver les petits boxeurs. Il a vraiment aidé ma performance lors de mon dernier combat.

"Leonel est un bon boxeur avec beaucoup d'expérience," se souvient Rivera. « Il a de la vitesse et de la puissance. Nous avons travaillé pour le rendre plus solide techniquement. Il s'agit de frapper sans être touché. Il est très grand pour sa catégorie de poids - 5' 8' ou 5' 9" - avec une bonne portée. On s'est tout de suite entendu, et c'était comme si nous travaillions ensemble depuis longtemps. Je pense qu'il peut faire du bruit avec son passé d'amateur. Il a tous les outils. Ça me rappelle un peu Ryan Garcia: grand et fort pour sa catégorie de poids. Leonel a ce qu'il faut.


"Je n'étais pas avec Leonel pour son dernier combat, mais j'ai regardé quelques faits saillants. Le gars qu'il a combattu (Andrés Bens Zapata) pourrait vraiment prendre un coup de poing. Les mains de Leonel étaient enflées après le combat à force de frapper son adversaire. Leonel l'a frappé avec tout ce qu'il avait. J'ai remarqué à quel point sa défense et sa distance s'étaient améliorées. C'est ce sur quoi nous avons travaillé. Il a gardé ses distances et a eu un combat propre.


Santos, qui a des parents vivant à proximité de Lawrence, MA, demande un visa de travail pour s'entraîner avec Rivera.


"Je pense que l'entraînement avec Alex a considérablement amélioré la boxe et le timing de Leonel," Roach, le manager de Santos, a ajouté. « Alex a beaucoup travaillé sur la distance, ce qui conduira à plus de puissance derrière ses coups. Philadelphie, Penn. (Août 13, 2018)-Ce passé Vendredi nuit, Tyrone Crawley, Jr. et Ricardo Garcia fought to an eight-round majority draw before a capacity crowd at SugarHouse Casino in a junior welterweight bout.
The fantastic nine-bout show was promoted by King’s Promotions.

It seemed that Garcia was leading the action by landing combinations on the ropes. Crawley tried to keep the fight at the center of the ring by trying to lead with his left and flicking out the jab. Garcia dictated the action, but the judges did not see it that way as two of the voters saw the fight even at 76-76 and a 3rd judge had it 79-73 for Garcia.

Garcia, 140.7 lbs of Dominican Republic is 14-3-1. Crawley, Jr., 138.5 livres de Philadelphie, Pennsylvanie 7-1-1.

Eric Moon won an eight-round unanimous decision over Christopher Brooker in a super middleweight bout.

Moon used quick combination that scored well over the second half of the fight that swelled the left eye of Brooker.

Moon, 167.9 lbs of Marieta, GA won by scores of 78-74 et 77-75 twice to raise his record to 8-1. Brooker, 169 lbs de Philadelphie est maintenant 13-6.

QUEENS, New York (May 15th, 2018) – Le Matador Gestion, Inc. has announced the signing of hard hitting super bantamweight contender, Jonathan “Salomon roi” Guzman (23-1, 22 KO). Felipe Gomez will now be managing the career of hard hitting and former IBF World Super Bantamweight Champion Guzman, who hails from Santo Domingo, République Dominicaine. Gomez will be working closely with Sampson Lewkowicz (Guzman’ Organisateur) as they jointly look to keep Guzman busy, while guiding him back toward a world title.

 

 

 

Guzman won the IBF World Super Bantamweight Title with an 11-round stoppage over Shingo Wake (20-4-2, 12 KO) au Japon. Guzman then defended his title against Yukinori Oguni (18-1-1, 8 KO) in Kyoto, Japan losing a 12-round unanimous decision.

Former Olympian Lenin Castillo (17-1-1, 12 KO) from the Dominican Republic has signed with new Puerto Rican management company, Spartan Boxing Club, on his mission to be part of the big stages in boxing.

 

 

 

 

Spartan Boxing Club President Raul Pastrana stated that “We are already planning to put Castillo on Avril 7 card in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where Angel Acosta will defend his WBO world title, and we are currently in the process of looking for a quality opponent together with a regional title to rank Castillo in the top positions in order to get a greater fight by the end of the year”.

 

 

 

 

“I signed with Spartan Boxing because they have an incredible platform and a work plan that I understand will be effective for my long-term career. I’m crazy to get back the ring to show that I deserve to be on the big stages and what better way to start this new path in front of my dear Puerto Rican people whom make me feel at home every time I go there” said Castillo who at the amateur boxing level won gold medals at the Jr. Pan American Games and José ‘Cheo’ Aponte International Tournament, and competed at the Olympic Games at welterweight category in Beijing, Chine.

New York (Avril 14, 2017)-Boxing manager Felipe Gomez is proud to announce the signing of former world champion Elio Rojas to a managerial contract.

Elio Rojas who hails from San Francisco de Macoris, République Dominicaine a un dossier de 24-3, avec 14 victoires à venir par voie d'élimination directe.

Rojas won the WBC World Featherweight Title with a 12-round unanimous decision over Takahiro Ao (17-1-1) in Ao’s hometown in Tokyo, Japon. Rojas then defended his title against Mexican veteran Gutty Espadas Jr. (45-7) in Yucatan, Mexico with a 12-round unanimous decision. Rojas, who had been living in Florida, recently moved to New York with the hopes of getting his career back on track.

“I know Felipe Gomez for many years and I know he can help me jumpstart my career,” said Rojas.

“Elio fought some big names in his career and is coming off a tough loss in a fight he accepted above his weight class. If he can get back down to his natural weight which is 126-130 livres, I know he can beat a lot of good fighters,” said Gomez. “I am excited to be part of his career because I know he still has a lot of fight in him and he can become a world champion again.”

Elios Rojas is training at the famous Gleason Gym in Brooklyn, New York with former world champion Joan Guzman.

Felipe Gomez, formerly of New Legend Boxing, has given up his promoter’s license to become a boxing manager. His recent signings include: Middleweight veteran Giovanni Lorenzo, Middleweight DeVaun Lee, Welterweight Cesar Francis and several other up and coming prospects residing in the Dominican Republic.

Nutley, New Jersey (Mars 28, 2017) – World ranked middleweight Antoine Douglas scored his 2nd knockout en 2 semaines as he took out Eduardo Mercedes at 1:45 of round two to capture the WBC Fedelatin title in a bout that took place in the Domincan Republic.

Douglas (21-1-1, 15 KO) de Washington, DC, dropped Mercedes with a body shot and the fight was stopped.
Douglas is ranked number-12 by the WBC, and will look to be back in action in late April.

We are going to keep him busy, as we want to have three more fights between now and September. World-Class Dominican Boxers Payano, Marrero and Vicente Sign Long-Term Agreements with King Kong Boxing Management

Well-known Florida-based manager/trainer Herman Caicedo proudly announces the signing of three of his world-class Dominican fighters, former WBA Super World Bantamweight Champion and WBA #2, WBC #11 contender Juan Carlos Payano, WBA #3 featherweight Claudio “The Matrix” Marrero, and well-respected featherweight contender Yenifel “The Lightning” Vicente, to multi-year managerial agreements with Jay Jimenez of King Kong Boxing Management.
The deal frees Caicedo, who formerly held both duties with the three fighters since their amateur days, to focus solely on training, while Jimenez takes the reins over furthering their careers in the professional boxing business.
32-year-old southpaw Payano (18-1, 9 KOs) won the WBA strap in September 2014 by stopping long-time world champion Anselmo Moreno. He then defeated and lost a rematch to Ohio’s Rau’shee Warren. He was last seen scoring a TKO 7 over Isao Gonzalo Carranza in January of this year.
“King Kong Boxing exploded on the scene with (former interim WBA Heavyweight Champion) Luis Ortiz and has fast-tracked the careers of several Cuban fighters,” said Payano. “I am very happy to be working with Jay Jimenez. And my trainer Herman has always been very honest with us and protected us from the sharks in boxing. Through his philosophy of hard work and dedication, I became a world champion. I am happy he will now be able to concentrate on training, which he is the best in the world at.”
Marrero (21-1, 15 KOs) will face Peru’s Carlos Zambrano for his interim WBA World Championship, as well as the IBO World Championship, sur Février 24 in Palm Springs, Californie.

Vicente (30-3-2, 22 KOs) is one of the world’s most exciting fighters. Currently riding a five-fight winning streak, the power-punching 30-year-old is a television favorite for his all-action fighting style.
“Herman has done a great job with my training and my career,” a déclaré Vicente. “He has worked very hard for me and all his fighters. Now he will get some expert help from King Kong Boxing Management. I am looking forward to a very bright future working with these two great men.”
