PHILADELPHIA, Penn. / ORANGE, Californie. (Juin 26, 2018) – Unbeaten featherweight standout Ruben Villa (11-0, 4 KOs) de Salinas, Calif stars in the main event this Saturday when he takes on Mexico’s Ricardo Lopez (7-2-2, 6 KOs) in an 8-round fight that will mark his third start of the year.

 

 

 

The bout will take place this Saturday, Juin 30, from Omega Products International in Sacramento.

 

 

 

The slick southpaw defends his WBO Youth title that he won in April in his hometown. Villa thoroughly outpointed Marlon Olea for his first championship as a professional.

MICHAEL DUTCHOVER REMAINS UNDEFEATED WITH A 3RD ROUND STOPPAGE OVER MIKE FOWLER

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. / ORANGE, Californie. (Mai 14, 2018) – Top junior lightweight prospect Michael Néerlandais Plus (9-0, 6 KOs) de Midland, Tex. continues to improve on his advanced skill set. He knocked out Mike Fowler (6-15, 2 KOs) au troisième tour (1:19) after landing consecutive body shots that sapped the air out of Fowler’s lungs.

 

 

 

The fight took place this past Friday night at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Californie.

 

 

 

Dutchover proved his talent early by connecting with body shots in the second round that floored the shorter Fowler. Pays-Bas Plus, 20, rarely got hit and displayed superior hand speed and excellent instincts.

 

 

 

“I wanted to start fast and not have to go the full six rounds,” Ledit Dutchover, who was an outstanding cross country runner in high school. “I figured him out pretty quickly. He wasn’t covering up well and I took advantage.”

 

 

 

Dutchover is trained and managed by Danny Zamora and promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing.

Le conseil des superviseurs du comté de Monterey a reconnu l'équipe Villa Boxing, une salle de sport à but non lucratif, pour créer un espace sûr pour les jeunes à faible revenu à East Salinas. À travers des subventions, Team Villa Boxing propose des leçons gratuites de boxe et de condition physique pour sélectionner les jeunes.
“J'ai été vraiment surpris que nous ayons été honorés du prix parce que nous ne l'avons découvert que la veille,” Villa a dit. “Nous en sommes évidemment très heureux, Mais nous ne le faisons pas pour la reconnaissance. Il s'agit d'aider la communauté. Il n'y a pas beaucoup d'opportunités ici, nous devons donc donner aux enfants des chances de réussir.”
“Ruben se soucie de sa communauté et veut être un modèle positif pour les enfants locaux,” dit Danny Zamora, Manager de Villa. “Le gymnase offre un débouché sûr et productif pour les jeunes enfants et les empêche de prendre des ennuis.”
Pour ceux qui ne sont pas au courant, Salinas a une lutte continue avec la violence des gangs liés à la drogue. La famille Villa, Dans un effort pour éloigner les enfants locaux d'une vie de crime, a formé le gymnase il y a trois ans. Lorsqu'il ne mène pas de camps d'entraînement à Riverside, Calif., La villa reste tranchante au gymnase qui porte son nom.
Villa a reçu l'honneur dans le cadre du “Soirée nationale” Événement organisé par la ville de Salinas.
L'événement de sensibilisation du public, qui a attiré des milliers de personnes vers le complexe de football de Salinas, visait à renforcer les relations avec la communauté avec les forces de l'ordre et d'autres membres du personnel de sécurité publique tels que les pompiers et les premiers intervenants.

Philadelphie, Penn. /Orange, Californie. (Octobre. 28, 2016) – Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing are proud to announce the signing of elite amateur Michael Néerlandais Plus (1-0, 1 KOs) out of Midland, Tex.

Pays-Bas Plus, 18, will campaign as a junior lightweight. The Texas native won numerous regional tournaments as an amateur and was a runner up at this year’s National Golden Gloves competition in the 132-pound division. He enters the professional ranks well prepared having gone 130-17 in the unpaid arena.

“I felt an overwhelming amount of joy when I was signing my contract,” Ledit Dutchover, who is trained and managed by Danny Zamora. “I’ve been doing this since I was eight years old. This is just the beginning. I’m going to work hard to become a world champion. That’s all I want.”

“I am very excited to be promoting Michael with Ken Thompson of Thompson Boxing,” dit Artie Pelullo des promotions Bannière. “He had a big amateur background. His style as an amateur was more pro oriented then anything else. He is a great young talent and I know he has a big future. We look forward to getting him started on what we hope will be a journey towards a world championship.”

Dutchover appeared on the most recent Thompson Boxing card last Friday, Octobre. 21. Dutchover started his career with a third round knockout over Cesar Partida.

He worked off an effective jab that allowed him to land crisp power shots. Dans la troisième, he connected on a crushing combination that resulted in the fight’s only knockdown. Partida survived the round, but was not allowed to come out for the fourth and final round.

“Partida was a tough opponent,” said Dutchover after the fight. “He took a lot of quality punches. I was able to drop him in the third and I knew he was hurt. It feels great to start my career with a knockout win.”

Philadelphie, Pennsylvanie / Orange, COMME. (Juillet 26, 2016)–Promotions Banner et Thompson Boxing Promotions are pleased to announce the signing of amateur standout Villa Rubento a co-promotional contract.
Le 19 year-old Villa of Salinas, California compiled an outstanding record of 166-17 in the unpaid ranks that included two National Junior Golden Gloves titles and two National Golden Gloves championships at 123 livres.
Ruben did not make the U.S. Olympic team due to his struggles to make 123 pounds in the Olympic Trials. He will campaign as a professional in the featherweight division (126 lbs).
“J'ai hâte, and I have been working very hard to get to this point. I cannot wait to turn professional,” dit Villa.
“It is very cool to sign with two great promoters. We were offered the opportunity, and we took it.”
“As for the Olympic trials I was disappointed, yet happy at the same time. I was happy to make it that far, and now I am ready for the next phase of my career.”
Villa began boxing at the age of five when his family, who were big boxing fans, took young Ruben to the gym.
That spawned his amateur career, which saw him reach the number-1 national ranking at 123 pounds and saw him defeat eventual United States Olympian Shakur Stevenson.

Villa defeated Stevenson in the National Golden Gloves and Olympic Trials.
The 5’6″ Villa is managed and trained by Danny Zamora. Zamora performs the same roles with world-ranked NABA, VOISINS, NABF and Boxicino 2014 lightweight champion Petr Petrov.
Villa describes his style as a boxer who uses angles and does not get hit much.
“My boxing influences are a bit of Vasyl Lomachenko and Canelo Alavrez.”
Ruben’s family and friends are not only a big part of his life, but also part of his success.
“My parents started me in boxing, and they have been extremely supportive in this. I also have 4 sœurs (Ruben is the 2nd oldest of the 5 enfants), and they are very supportive as well. “
Villa has sparred with Petrov, Bruno Escalante and Manuel Avilla, and that has given him a good gage on where he is at as he embarks on his career.
“I do well with those guys. I can hold my own, and those guys are great professionals. It gives me confidence as I start out.”
“Whenever you have the chance to sign someone as talented and as gifted as Ruben Villa, you jump at that opportunity,” a déclaré Ken Thompson, President of Thompson Boxing Promotions. “Villa comes to us from an accomplished amateur background. Zamora a déclaré Danny, ” Jhordy est un très bon combattant et le meilleur de tout ce qu'il est un bon jeune homme. Il forme et assiste à l'université en même temps.
