Atlantic City, New Jersey (Mai 31, 2018)–Super Middleweight contender Derrick “Take It To The Bank” Webster (25-1, 13 KOs) feels the time is now to take on the big boys of the division, but in order to secure a bout with a top contender or champion, he first must get by Oscar Riojas (16-9-1, 5 KOs) of Monterrey, Mexico in the 10-round main event this Friday night ved The Claridge Hotel.

Webster av Glassboro, New Jersey has been working hard in the gym as he prepares for this most important bout.

 

 

 

“I have had an amazing camp, I have been getting great work and seeing different looks,” said Webster, who has been working under the guidance of his long-time trainer Denny Brown.

 

 

 

In Riojas, he is facing a battle-tested veteran who has taken on seven undefeated opponents as well as 2 verden tittel utfordrere.

 

 

 

“I know he has fought Brandon Robinson. Robinson is a close friend to me, and what I saw in that fight is that Robinson hit him with some good shots, and I don’t know how he withstood them. Riojas came in after another opponent fell out for me. The funny thing is that he thinks that he can beat me, but on June 1st, he will know that he does not belong in the same ring as me.”

 

 

 

Webster has been looking for a signature fight in the suddenly hot 168-pound division, and after this fight on Friday, Webster will be looking to make his mark.

 

 

 

“I am ranked number-5 in the USBA, so maybe someone for that belt or the NABF. I have to fight for the bigger regional titles as a pathway to the world championship. I have been asking for Groves after he gets done with the WBSS Tournament or WBA champion Tyrin Zeuge. I would also like to take on WBO champion Gilberto Ramirez.”

 

 

 

This is a special weekend for Atlantic City Boxing as the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of fame will have it’s 2nd induction weekend, and may of the legends of the sport will be in attendance to watch Webster fight.

This last year has been rough, as I have been going through a bad situation in my personal life, but I have to thank Mis Downing, Roy Jones Jr., Ray McCline and my trainer Denny Brown to have helped me get through this. I fjor, I had to choose my relationship, and then I lost it, but it opened up a door to get with Mis Downing Promotions and Ray McCline. It has helped me become 3-times the person. It has helped me in my acting career and my boxing career. Now is the time to show the world who Derrick Webster really is.”

Atlantic City, N.J. – 26 april, 2018 – As part of the 2nd annual induction weekend, the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame presents the “ACBHOF Fight Fan Experience” which will take place on Saturday, June 2nd at The Claridge Hotel.

 

 

 

“The Fight Fan Experience” is a bonus for boxing fans to an already action-packed weekend that will include a Meet-And-Greet, two professional fight cards, and induction ceremonies.

 

 

 

“The Fight Fan Experience” includes the opportunity to rub shoulders and meet some of the legends of boxing, as well as view the Jack Johnson Exhibit, “Smokin” Joe Frazier Legacy Exist Exhibit, the great sculptures of James O’Neal and Philly Boxing History Exhibit. Sheppard is coming off a loss to undefeated Simon Kean on December 16, 2017 i Laval, Quebec, Canada.

Fields is a late-replacement, so that took some last minute studying for Pham.

Atlantic City, NJ (Januar 11, 2017) – Thomas “Cornflake” Lamanna will battle veteran Eduardo Flores eight-round junior middleweight bout on Lørdag kveld, January 28th i Claridge Hotel i Atlantic City.
The bout will headline a card promoted by Rising Promotions.
CEO of Rising Promotions Debra LaManna stated, “We are starting 2017 with a tremendous card and we plan on only doing bigger and better things for boxing this year.”

Den 25 year-old is coming off a defeat to undefeated Dusty Hernandez Harrison in a thrilling bout that took place on September 15th i Philadelphia.

In that bout, LaManna fought a good fight and had solid moments throughout the hotly contested bout that was for the USBA Welterweight title.

LaManna is moving back up to the 154 pound division where LaManna is undefeated (7-0 mellom 148-154 pounds) in the division for which he turned professional in 2011.

LaManna won his first 16 endene, where enjoyed wins over Ashanti Gibbs and Jamaal Davis.

After suffering his first professional defeat to undefeated middleweight prospect Antoine Douglas, LaManna ripped off five consecutive victories that was highlighted by by a 4th round stoppage over Kendal Mena (20-3).

LaManna used his reach and height and worked behind his jab to keep Vasquez at bay. As the fight wore on, LaManna started to dominate with body punches and cruised home to victory to the tune of 79-72 on two scorecards and 78-73.

I 6-runde co-feature, former IBF Cruiserweight champion Imamu Mayfield will be making his long awaited comeback in a Heavyweight bout.
Mayfield of Perth Amboy, New Jersey will making his first appearance in just for 8-years.
Mayfield won the IBF Cruiserweight championship when he won a 12-round unanimous decision over Uriah Grant on November 8, 1997. He made one defense and was stopped by Arthur Williams on October 30, 1998.
Mayfield won the USBA Cruiserweight title with 10th round stoppage over Gary Wilcox on June 30, 2001.
Mayfield has also fought world champions Juan Carlos Gomez, Krzystof Wlodarczyk and Alexander Povetkin.

ATLANTIC CITY (Desember 11, 2015)–Sist lørdag kveld, Thomas Lamanna gjort en vellykket seilas inn i weltervekt divisjon ved å hamre ut en 8-runde enstemmig beslutning i løpet av Ariel Vasquez på Claridge Hotel i Atlantic City.
Kortet ble presentert foran et entusiastisk publikum på den nær-utsolgt Claridge, som inneholdt en In-Arena vert og gitt giveaways til publikum gjennom kvelden.

“Claridge Hotel var veldig fornøyd med kvaliteten på kamper og oppmøte på lørdag, ” Sa Debbie Lamanna fra Rising Boksing Kampanjer. “Our mission with the promotion is to have good and competitive fights that will have the crowd excited throughout the night We had some in-house entertainment that had the crowd involved as well. I think we accomplished everything we set out to do and it is a great building block for our February show.”

Lamanna brukt et variert arsenal av slag som kjennetegnet karosseri, jabs og en god rett hånd på ulike steder av kampen. Lamanna viste grus som Vasquez var spillet ved tidvis å snike i en rett venstre som større Lamanna var i stand til å gå gjennom. Den eneste skavank for Lamanna var at han ble trukket et poeng for lave slag i runde fire, men han var i stand til av score til 79-72 to ganger, og 78-73.

Lamanna, 148 lbs av Millville, NJ er 19-1. Vasquez, 144 lbs av Managua, Nicaragua er 12-12-2.

I 6-runde tungvekt co-feature, Willis Lockett var i stand til å vinne en 6-runde enstemmig beslutning i løpet av John Lennox.

Lockett vant kampen på styrken av landing en serie av flush rette hender som så bra, men aldri skadet Lennox. Lennox var mer aktiv til tider, og fikk i noen fortelle slag, men det var ikke nok som Lockett vunnet av scorene til 59-55 to ganger, og 58-56.

Lockett er nå 14-14-4. Lennox er 13-4.

Quian Davis gjorde kort prosess med Santario Holdbrooks i en planlagt fire-runde tungvekt bout.

Davis var over Holdbrooks fra åpningen klokken og kampen varte bare 26 sekunder.

Davis er 1-0-1 med 1 knockout. Holdbrooks er 0-3.

Alshamar Johnson og Villi Vakker kjempet til en underholdende 4-round draw i en mellomvekt bout.

Begge gutta tok svinger blir sjefen i kampen og runder var tett og inneholdt masse tå til tå handling. Hver fighter tok et kort på 39-37. Ett kort lese selv på 38-38.

Bello er 3-1-1. Johnson er 1-1-1.

Åpningen bout så debuterte ecuadorianske Luis Perozo score en første runde stans i løpet Davonta Steele i en planlagt fire-runde Jr. Weltervekt bout.

Perozo, som nå er bosatt i Queens, New York falt Steele fra en kropp skudd og kampen ble stoppet på 2:11.

Perozo gjorde sin pro debut. Steele av Concord, NC er 0-2.

John Lennox (13-3, 5 KO s) av Carteret, NJ vil ta på Willis Lockett av Takoma Park, MD.

Lamanna (18-1, 7 KO s) av nærmeste Millville, New Jersey vil ta del i en 8-runde weltervekt bout mot en motstander for å bli navngitt.

Den 23 år gammel Lamanna ble profesjonell i 2011 og vant sin første seksten kamper som ble fremhevet av gevinster i løpet Ashandi Gibbs & Jamaal Davis.
