Ósigur Prospect Pryce Taylor vinnur hörðum höndum að því að taka þátt í elítulista Brooklyn yfir helstu þungavigtarboxara

(L-R) - Claressa Shields & Pryce Taylor

NEW YORK CITY (Júlí 17, 2025) - Ósigraðir þungavigtarhorfur Pryce Taylor (8-0, 6 Kos) er ætlað að snúa aftur í hringinn í júlí 26th í Detroit.

Taylor sendi frá sér a 60-11 áhugamaður met, vann tvo New York Golden hanska titla, og lauk sem þungavigtarleikari fjórum sinnum á USA Boxing National Championships. Sem faglegur verðlaun bardagamaður, Hinn 28 ára Taylor hefur sett marga andstæðinga sína í svefn, mikið eins og forverar hans í Brooklyn, Ásamt 6 stöðvun í hans 8 eldspýtur, Síðustu fjórir í röð.

“Pryce hefur rétt fyrir sér “hefur verið að æfa hjá löggum Brooklyn & Hnefaleikar í hnefaleikum með höfuðþjálfaranum Benny Roman. Taylor þjálfaði einnig í þrjár vikur í Delray Beach, Florida, með þjálfara Sugar Hill, með áherslu á hreyfingu og sparring. „Það hjálpaði örugglega,“ sagði Taylor. „Það var gott sparring þar, Og það var góð reynsla í heildina. “

Í fyrstu áætlaða 8 umferðinni, Taylor mun taka að sér Robert Simms (12-4-1, 3 Kos) frá Saginaw, Michigan. Tvö slagsmál áður, Simms sigraði áður ósigraða James McKenzie Morrison (20-1-2, 18 Kos), Hver er sonur síðla heimsþungavigtarmeistara Tommy Morrison.

„Ég hef heyrt andstæðing minn koma til að berjast,”Taylor lauk. „Mér finnst virkilega gaman að berjast við svona andstæðing í stað strákanna sem standa ekki og berjast. Mér finnst líka gaman að berjast á þessu skeiði (7 vikur frá síðustu baráttu hans) Vegna þess að ég elska hnefaleika. Ég hef æft fyrir 8 umferðir, En það er ekki að fara vegalengdina. Ég sé hann ekki í fjórar umferðir, Ef það. “

„Ég hef haldið Pryce mjög uppteknum því að verða frábær frá Brooklyn, þú ættir að vera sterkur, hæfileikaríkur og fær um að vinna fyrir það,“Framkvæmdastjóri Pryce Keith Sullivan fram. „Hann hefur átt átta slagsmál á aðeins nítján mánuðum sem atvinnumaður, og þrjú slagsmál féllu út vegna meiðsla andstæðings. Þetta er gamall skraut sem ég er að halda honum áfram. Ekki allir bardagamaður ræður við það baráttuhraða, Pryce borðar það upp. Hann getur náð efri stigum. Það mun taka áframhaldandi vinnu.

„Síðast þegar hann barðist við kort Clarissa, Við gengum inn á tóman vettvang. Ég hallaði mér að honum og sagði, „Njóttu þögnarinnar, Nógu fljótt muntu fara inn í pakkaða vettvang. “Og í júlí 26th það mun rætast. “

Sullivan, Fyrrum aðstoðarframkvæmdastjóri íþróttanefndar New York fylkis, Stýrir einnig 3-tíma, 2-heimsmeistari deildar Aldur Miyo (18-5) og Bronx NYPD yfirmaður Nisa Rodriguez (3-1, 1 KO). Pryce is Right again for undefeated Brooklyn heavyweight Pryce Taylor

NEW YORK CITY (Júní 11, 2025) – Immediately after last Friday night’s impressive fourth-round stoppage of Ed “Tex” Fountain, Brooklyn’s undefeated Pryce Taylor (8-0, 5 Kos) was called America’s best heavyweight prospect by his promoter, Dmitriy orð (Salita Kynningar).

The 28-year-old Taylor and his manager, New York City-based Attorney Keith Sullivan, agree with Salita.

“They’re (Salita and Sullivan) both right,“ sagði Taylor, “because they’ve seen me fight. Fighting brings the dog out in me. Hann (Fountain) was a test, real resilient, but like a punching bag that’s ready to fall off the chain. I had to keep hitting him and no way was he thinking about playing it safe. The referee saved his life; he was thinking about not falling down.”

The powerful Taylor entered the ring paying tribute to the late, great George Foreman by wearing a “Big George” T-shirt. Prior to the fight, Taylor noted that he had great success in the pro ranks fighting southpaws like Fountain. Taylor methodically ripped his opponent’s head and body with damaging punches, hurting Fountain in the third round with a straight right-left hook combination, followed by a barrage of shots on the sturdy Fountain who managed to survive the round.
(L-R: Head trainer Benny Roman, Pryce Taylor wearing his George Foreman tribute T-shirt, and manager Keith Sullivan)

Fountain (14-9, 7 Kos), who was the best fighter the 6’ 4”, 280-pound Taylor had fought in the pro ranks, was rocked from another series of violent combinations, when referee Charlie Fitch had seen enough and waved off the fight 36-seconds into the fourth frame. The fight was a scheduled 6-rounder on the “International Boxing Hall of Fame Night,” presented by Taylor’s promoter Salita Promotions, at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York.

“I was excited to be fighting on a show like that,” Taylor added. “He hit me first in the first round, something I always let my opponents do to test their power, gauge patterns, and figure him out. It’s like in baseball when a batter lets a pitch go by without swinging to see what he has on the mound. Because he’s a southpaw, his right is his jab, and he really wanted to use his left power hook. He had a good poker face, but he couldn’t hide it when I hurt him. He tried not showing he was fazed, keeping himself upright, but he felt my power. I like being accurate, especially throwing power punches. I punished him at the end, throwing a body shot, an uppercut, and then two right hooks.

“I thought George Foreman would have been proud of me and maybe thought he was seeing himself fight when he saw me punch. I put on a show. I’m a combination of Foreman and Muhammad Ali; power punching like Foreman, elusive like Ali with good footwork and light on my toes.

“I’m not sure if this was the best fight of my career, but he was my best opponent and the toughest guy I’ve fought. He came into the ring in good shape and tried to fight. His downfall was Pryce Being Right aftur. I love throwing my straight right and that keeps opening up my left hook to the body.”

Taylor had a 60-11 áhugamaður met, including a pair of New York Golden Gloves titles, and he was the heavyweight runner-up four times in the prestigious USA Boxing National Championship tournaments. “Pryce’s TKO win was exactly what I expected – dominant, calculated, and explosive,” Sullivan remarked. “He’s not just another prospect; with continued work, he can be the next great American heavyweight. With every fight, he’s proving that he has the tools, the discipline, and the mindset to be a force within this division. We’re building something special, and the world’s about to see it.”
Team Taylor (L-R): Manager Keith Sullivan, undefeated Brooklyn heavyweight prospect Pryce Taylor, promoter Dmitriy Salita, and head trainer Benny Roman Salita.

Taylor will be fighting next in his first scheduled 8-round bout on July 26 in Detroit on a Salita Promotions card headlined by undisputed World Heavyweight Champion Claressa Shields (16-0, 3 Kos) versus Lani Daniels (11-2-2, 1 KO) Á Little Caesars Arena. Sullivan, a former Deputy Commissioner for the NYS Athletic Commission, Stýrir einnig 3-tíma, 2-division World Champion Miyo Yoshida (18-5) and Bronx NYPD Officer Nisa Rodriguez (3-1, 1 KO), as well as co-managing world-rated (IBF #3 & WBA #10) welterweight contender Paddy “The Real Deal” Donovan (14-1, 11 Kos), from Limerick, Írland. Sullivan stjórnar Donovan ásamt fyrrverandi heimsmeistara í millivigt, Andy Lee, who is also Donovan’s head trainer.

Boxing Superstar Claressa Shields has Street She Grew up on in Flint Honorarily Renamed After Her

Salita Promotions congratulates fighting superstar Claressa Shields for having the street she grew up on in Flint, Michigan, honorarily dedicated in her name by City of Flint Mayor Sheldon Neely. Last Sunday, Shields, 26, was presented the accolade, which turned Spencer Street into Claressa Shields Street, at her Joy Tabernacle Church, where Shields was a guest speaker.

Mayor Neely says he’s overjoyed to be able to bestow the honor on the city’s fighting legend and says the next steps are to determine if it will be a ceremonial name change or an official name change. Ceremonial would mean adding Shield’s name to the existing name and official would mean the removal of the existing street name and replacing it with Shield’s name.

Claressa continues to make us all proud while exemplifying what it means to be a true champion,” said Mayor Neely. “She has accomplished so much, remains connected to this community and we just want to honor her. This street dedication is well-deserved.”

Shields (11-0, 2 Kos), a two-time Olympic gold medal winner, three-division professional boxing champion, the first fighter, karl eða kona, to unify championships in two divisions and the fastest boxer in history to win titles in three different weight divisions, says this award is especially touching for her.

“I could not be happier today y’all!” said Shields on Twitter. “I had a great time at church! So thankful to everyone who came out to worship with me today! I was surprised by the Mayor of Flint! The street I grew up on Spencer street is being named after me ‘Claressa Shields Street.’ My grandma would be so PROUD!!!! I delivered a great message today! I feel so special!!! I’m overjoyed.”

“This is a well-deserved honor for a woman and fighter who has done a lot to help and support her home city,” said Shields’ promoter, Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions. “She never stops working toward success in her career or as a public figure with an inspiring message. Salita Promotions is proud to represent her.”

Two-Time Gold Medalist and Professional Superstar Claressa Shields and Her Team Send Congratulations to USA Boxing’s Olympic Medal Winners

Two-time Olympic champion Claressa Shields, from Flint, Michigan, is proud of Team USA’s Olympic boxing medalists and the whole USA Boxing squad, which featured five female participants for the first time. The only American boxer ever to win back-to-back Olympic gold medals, Shields stood atop the medal podium at the first-ever Olympic Games to feature women’s boxing in 2012, before duplicating the feat at the 2016 Ólympíuleikarnir í Rio de Janeiro. The reigning middleweight Olympic champion was pleased with the United States’ performance at the Tokyo Olympics, which featured three silver medals and a bronze in the first appearance of a women’s welterweight competition.

“I’m super proud of the U.S. lið. The Olympics is the hardest tournament to medal in and all of you showed a lot of grit, hard work, determination and skill,” Shields said.

Earning medals in Tokyo were female welterweight O’shae Jones from nearby Toledo, Ohio, who took home a bronze, as well as a pair of professional boxers in Duke Ragan (featherweight) and Keyshawn Davis (léttur), and California’s Richard Torrez Jr, (super heavyweight) who each won silver medals. The four medals represent the highest total for Team USA since Ricardo Juarez, Ricardo Williams, Clarence Vinson and Jermain Taylor grabbed hardware (two silver and two bronze) á að 2000 Olympics.

The 2020 Olympic Games featured the addition of two women’s weight divisions, bantamweight (119 £) og welterweight (152 £), which shows the continued growth of the sport of women’s boxing throughout the world.

Shields, who in addition to her two Olympic gold medals has won ten world titles in three weight divisions and become undisputed champion in two weight classes in just eleven fights as a professional and recently launched a two-sport career with her professional MMA debut for the PFL, says that having Jones as another American female professional boxer sporting an Olympic medal would be good for the sport. Jones has previously expressed a desire to enter the pro ranks.

“An injection of new top-level talent is always positive,” said Shields (11-0-0, 2 Kos), who aside from making her successful MMA fighting debut in June, made history last March by dethroning Canada’s Marie-Eve Dicaire and becoming the first boxer in the four-belt era to be an undisputed champion in two divisions. She also retained her WBC and WBO junior middleweight titles with the victory and claimed Dicaire’s IBF belt, as well as the vacant WBA Championship. “The idea of a new generation of ladies turning pro and deepening the talent pool with Olympic-level skills will be good for the sport of women’s boxing.”

Shields went 77-1 as an amateur and turned professional after her second Olympic victory in 2016. Her 2017 battle with Szilvia “Sunset” Szabados was the first female main event to be broadcast on American premium television. In addition to currently being the WBC, WBO, IBF and WBA champion at 154 £, Shields had previously unified all four of the major sanctioning body belts at middleweight (160 lbs.).

Shields has had a dominating, record-breaking run thus far in her professional career, tearing through other women once considered the best in their divisions with relative ease. She and Great Britain’s Katie Taylor, also undefeated as a pro, have lifted women’s boxing to new heights in recent years, leading an increasingly deeper talent pool that will only get deeper with the addition of the 2020 Olympians from around the world.

Shields’ manager, Mark Taffet of Mark Taffet Media, agrees that the impending influx of new talent to women’s boxing will benefit the sport as a whole.

I’m excited for the four Americans who brought home Olympic medals this year, particularly welterweight bronze medal winner Oshae Jones who I believe will be one to watch in the next few years,” said Taffet. “The female boxing talent pool, and importantly the U.S. pool, continues to improve and bodes well for the future of women’s boxing and the continued gains toward equality across the board.

Shields’ promoter, Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions, says he’s excited for the future and proud of USA Boxing, who produced four medal winners while undergoing a deadly pandemic that severely hampered the ability to train properly

“As a former amateur and professional boxer, I know the sacrifices required to fight on the elite level and I congratulate Team USA for all of its successes this year, even through all the added challenges that Covid-19 created,“ sagði Salita.
