Atlantic City, New Jersey (Marzec 12, 2018)–Chazz Witherspoon raised his winning streak to eight in a row as he went the eight-round distance by won a unanimous decision over Lamont Capers that headlined a seven-bout card at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.
The show, which took place this past Sobota, was promoted by Mis Downing Promotions and Silverspoon Promotions.
Witherspoon was able to outpoint the crafty Capers. Capers was very competitive, but it was Witherspoon’s size and harder punches that proved to be the difference as he captured the via 78-74, 78-74 i 77-75 wyniki.

Atlantic City, New Jersey (Marzec 8, 2018)–Heavyweight Chazz “Gentleman” Witherspoon is looking for a big fight in the suddenly hot heavyweight division. In order to get into the mix he will need a victory w sobotę night when he takes on veteran Mike Sheppard in in the eight-round main event on at Hotel Claridge w Atlantic City.
The Witherspoon – Sheppard bout will headline a nine-bout card, promoted by Mis Downing Promotions and Silver Spoon Promotions.
Witherspoon, 36-3 z 28 nokautów, is on a six-fight knockout streak, and has not lost in almost six years.
Witherspoon will be making his first start since stopping Carlos Sandoval in the 4th round on October 1, 2016.
“Everything is good, and despite me having a layoff, I am never too far out of shape, so I don’t expect to have any ring rust,” powiedział: 36 year-old native of Paulsboro, New Jersey.
In Sheppard, Witherspoon is taking on a veteran, who has fought a handful of top heavyweights.

1st show to take place on 10 marca at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City

Atlantic City, New Jersey (Styczeń 25, 2018)–Mis Downing promotions is primed for a big year in 2018.
The New Jersey based promotion staged it’s inaugural events in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in 2017, and already has four dates on the schedule for 2018.
The 1st of those events will take place w sobotę noc, 10 marca at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.
“We are very excited for a great year of boxing,” said Mis Downing. “We have a tremendous event planned for 10 marca where I will be co-promoting with Silver Spoon Promotions, and have Chazz Witherspoon in the main event. We have some of the best fighters in the area that will make up a great undercard.”
The full card and ticket information for the 10 marca show will be announced next week.
“We have at least three more dates, and we want to feature great fights while providing the fans with terrific entertainment. We are also about to announce the signing of some terrific fighters that we plan to build and feature on our events. We are looking to bring a lot of shows to Atlantic City, and I want to congratulate the new mayor Frank Gilliam on his inauguration.”
“We are also looking forward to working with with Roy Jones, Jr. ponownie. In 2017,we did a great show co-promoting with him in August, and we already have a commitment to do another show with him in Atlantic City.”

Witherspoon takes on Marrone in 2

Bristol, PA (Sierpień 6, 2016) – Chazz Witherspoon scored his fifth consecutive knockout victory as he took out former world title challenger Mike Marrone in round two of their scheduled six-round heavyweight bout in the main event at the Grundy Arena.

The eight-bout card was promoted by D and D Promotions and Silver Spoon Promotions.

Witherspoon sent Marrone to the canvas in round one with a left hook. Seconds later it was a hard 1-2 that sent Marrone down for a second time.

W drugiej rundzie, Witherspoon landed a booming right that deposited Marrone on the canvas for a third time. Marrone got to his feet but the fight was waved off at 1:31.

Samuel Seah won a four round unanimous decision over Samuel Amoako in a junior welterweight bout.

Good looking prospect, Jaron Ennis stopped Matthew Murphy in round two of a scheduled four round junior welterweight bout.

“I am waiting for the right opportunity. It has to make sense. I am willing to take stay busy fights and continue to hone my craft. If the opportunity isn’t next, then I will continue to stay busy.”

“I think the division is exciting again. Different guys have belts and all roads do not lead to one person. I know I will fit somewhere in there when I get a shot at one of these titles.”

Seeing action in the eight-round co-feature will be junior welterweight Emanuel “The Tranzforma” Taylor (19-4, 13 KO) walczy Carlos Aguilera (10-16, 4 KO) of Chiapas, Meksyk.

With a win, Taylor is earmarked for a September fight with WBO number-two ranked Jose Zepeda.
