NEW ENGLAND FIGHTS ANNOUNCES THE RESULTS FROM LEWISTON

Lewiston, Maine (Iunie 18, 2016) - Lupte New England (NEF) held the fight promotion’s latest event, “NEF 24: TEREN PROMIS” sâmbăta noapte la Colisée Androscoggin Bank din Lewiston, Maine. The event featured a full slate of professional boxing, amateur mixed-martial-arts (MMA) and professional MMA bouts. Aproape 2,000 packed the hallowed halls where Muhammad Ali once defended the heavyweight championship of the world against Sonny Liston. A special video tribute was presented honoring Ali prior to the beginning of the event.

Lewiston, Maine (Iunie 3, 2016) – It will be a celebration of all things Americana when New England Fights (NEF) returns to the Androscoggin Bank Colisée on Saturday, Iunie 18, 2016. The wildly popular fight promotion will once again give fans a full night of mixed-martial-arts (MMA) and professional boxing action.

 

In the main event of the boxing portion of the fight card, Brandon “Cannon” Bacă (11-1-1) will defend the Northeast Junior Welterweight Title against challenger James “The Motor City Bad Boy” Lester (10-9-1). The two fought to a draw on the judges’ scorecards this past April in Lewiston. They agreed to rematch with Berry’s title on the line. Also on the boxing portion of the card, former USA New England Middleweight Champion Russell “The Haitian Sensation” Lamour (13-2) și Casey “The Buzzsaw” Kramlich (4-0-1) from the Portland Boxing Club in Portland, Maine will both make their respective NEF Boxing debuts.

Lewiston, Maine (Mai 25, 2016) - Lupte New England (NEF) revine la Colisée Androscoggin Bank din Lewiston, Maine peIunie 18, 2016 cu “NEF 24: TEREN PROMIS.” The fight promotion will put on another full night of mixed-martial-arts (MMA) cagefights and pro boxing bouts. “I’m most definitely looking forward to fighting in Maine again,” spuse Lester, a former top-ranked national amateur boxer. “The fans there are awesome. I even gained a few fans from my last fight who’s been messaging me on a regular like a young guy by the name of Hunter Moore who messages me every week making sure I’m training hard for the rematch.”

 

Lester is a product of the world-famous Kronk Gym in Detroit where Thomas “Hitman” Hearns (61-5-1, 48 KO), Oscar De La Hoya (39-6, 30 KO), Lennox Lewis (41-2-1, 32 KO) și Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KO), printre altele, have prepared for world title bouts under legendary trainer, the late Emanuel Steward. “The only thing that will be different this time is I will be in better condition. NEW CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT NEF 22 În Lewiston

Lewiston, Maine (Aprilie 23, 2016) - Lupte New England (NEF), Numărul unu de promovare lupta regional Americii, a avut cel mai recent eveniment, “NEF 22: Toate drumurile duc AICI,” Saturday night at the Androscoggin Bank Colisée in Lewiston, Maine. On the boxing portion of the card, Brandon “Cannon” Bacă (11-1-1) fought to a majority draw in a six-round contest with James Lester (10-9-1). Many of Berry’s supporters in attendance felt that he won the fight, but two of the judges had it even on the scorecards.

 

The headliner of the amateur MMA card saw Caleb Hall (7-3) captured the vacant amateur featherweight title with a second-round submission of Erik Nelson (2-3). On the professional side of the MMA card, Devin Powell (6-1) took home the lightweight championship by defeating Jesse Erickson (6-5) in the first round via technical knockout.

ALL ROADS LEAD TO MONUMENTAL FIGHT CARD IN LEWISTON

Lester is a product of the world-famous Kronk Gym in Detroit where world champions like Thomas “Hitman” Hearns (61-5-1, 48 KO), Oscar De La Hoya (39-6, 30 KO), Lennox Lewis (41-2-1, 32 KO) și Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KO) have trained under the late Emmanuel Steward. Lester was ranked number-two nationally as an amateur. He presents a dangerous threat to Berry, one that could very well play the role of “jefuitor” pentru “Cannon” and his legion of fans.

 

After a bloody war of a professional boxing debut at “NEF 21” în ultima lună, NEF MMA regular Crowsneck Boutin (0-0-1) will once again step into the boxing ring, this time facing Brandon Montella (3-0, 2 KO). The well-publicized personal issues between Harvey and Denning will be settled in the cage on 23 aprilie.

 

The professional portion of the MMA card will also feature the pro debut of Harvey’s Young’s MMA teammate Aaron “Neobosit” Lacey (0-0) as he takes on veteran “Incasabilă 2.0” Derek Shorey (3-5) într-un meci pană. A pair of professional boxing bouts will be featured on the main card of the evening. Joel “Pat Bull” Episcop (0-0-1) returns to action after more than a year’s absence to face MMA regular Crowsneck Boutin (0-0) in a light-heavyweight four-round bout. Campion Northeast Junior la categoria welter Brandon “Cannon” Bacă (10-1) will attempt to make it three wins in a row when he steps in the ring to face undefeated Tollison Lewis (2-0) in a six-round, non-title, super-welterweight contest. “This is a classic battle of size and strength against technique,” a declarat NEF co-proprietar și promotor Nick DiSalvo. “In one corner you have a polished boxer with a solid amateur background in the form of Brandon Berry, and he will be fighting in a heavier weight class in this bout. Berry is coming off what many consider to be the defining win of his still-young professional career over gritty Mexican veteran Roberto Valenzuela (73-70-2) last November at “NEF XX.” Despite suffering a bad cut above his eye early in the fight, Berry maintained his composure and looked sharp on his way to a unanimous decision victory in the first eight-round fight of his career. The West Forks, Maine native was a 2013 Northern New England Golden Gloves champion as an amateur. The fight with Lewis is expected to be the last Berry will compete in above his usual 140-pound junior welterweight division.

 

“It’s great to be getting back in action inside the ring so soon, especially after suffering such a nasty cut over my eye from my last fight in November,” said Berry. “Thank you NEF for putting yet another very tough opponent in front of me. Tollison is a class act in and out of the ring, and I think our styles will make a crowd pleasing bout. I remember being undefeated still and I know how important keeping the ‘0’ on the record is. Tollison is a big, strong athlete and I’m sure he will be more than prepared. Both him and I understand competition, and will most likely be friends after this event. I’m glad to be sharing this main event fight with him, and may the best man win!”

 

Tollison Lewis’s foray into the boxing world was unplanned. In Octombrie 2014, just 24-hours prior to the start of the first “NEF Boxing” eveniment, Lewis stepped in to face boxing veteran John Webster (8-7-1) after Webster’s previous opponent fell out. NEF executives, familiar with Lewis’s striking prowess in his MMA bouts, asked Lewis to take the fight at the last minute and Lewis did not hesitate to oblige. He went on to bully Webster for four rounds, (including knocking Webster out of the ring onto the timekeeper’s table), scoring a unanimous decision victory. This past November, in yet another dominant performance in the NEF boxing ring, Lewis stopped Zenon Herrera (0-1) with a third-round TKO. A win over a boxer of Berry’s caliber, fără îndoială, would propel Lewis to the next level in the sport.
