The biggest change for Fierro since the first showdown is the addition of famed trainer Robert Garcia, who has led his training camp and will do the same for his corner on July 19. By joining forces with Garcia, Fierro believes he’s unlocked a better version of himself that he’ll display in the rematch.

“It’s been a tough camp,” said Fierro. “I’ve never trained with this much intensity before. Robert Garcia and the whole team has been excellent. We’ve made changes to my sparring sessions and I believe we’re going to deliver a great result.

“I’ve gone through changes physically, mentally and nutritionally. It’s going to make me formidable. I’m in the best shape of my life and my diet is on point. I’m not worried about making weight and that’s how an elite fighter should come into a fight.”

The Tijuana-native’s first fight against Cruz was a tale of two halves, as Cruz controlled the early rounds before Fierro appeared to turn the tide, 從登陸他的對手 132 到 106 across the final five frames. In addition to showing Cruz his level, Fierro believes that he took advantage of the big stage in February on the undercard of David Benavidez vs. David Morrell Jr. to show the Mexican people that he was a true contender. With that extra motivation, he’s promised to show that he will be the next big star to take off from the boxing-rich country.

“At the beginning of the fight, people looked at me like I was a nobody,” said Fierro. “But by the halfway point, I felt a shift, and people were already seeing me as a big-time fighter. I felt like Rocky in Russia! I proved that I’m not just a talker. I’m a true Mexican…We’re two Mexicans with pride on the line and looking to show who the next great Mexican boxing star will be. I’m fighting to bring honor to my country.”

Having already delivered a fight that’s garnering early Fight of the Year consideration, Fierro has promised to deliver even more action the second time around, and perhaps bring back memories of Fierro’s personal favorite all-Mexican rematch Marco Antonio Barrera vs. Erik Morales II.

“You’re going to see a different ‘Tashiro’ and it’s going to be an even better war than the first one,” said Fierro. “The fans will be on their feet from the very first round. I will beat ‘Pitbull’ – no matter what. He better prepare well and I think he will, because deep down he knows what he’s up against.”

Four Team USA Boxers Close Friday With Bronze Medals

USTI NAD LABEM, 捷克共和國 (六月 13, 2025) - Team USA tied a bow on day three of the World Boxing Challenge Grand Prix Usti Nad Labem 2025 with four boxers earning bronze medals and four more athletes advancing to the gold medal rounds. In his two bouts, Georges has consistently dominated from the opening bell and enforced his powerful game on his foes. He will take on Brazil’s Isaias Filho in bout 18.

Rosendo is making her Elite international debut for the USA and is intent on showing out on the world’s stage.

Saturday’s lone session at the World Boxing Challenge Grand Prix Usti Nad Labem 2025 will get underway at approximately 10 A.M. AND, with only one ring hosting all bouts. USTI NAD LABEM, 捷克共和國 (六月 11, 2025) - Jajaira Gonzalez (Women’s 60 公斤) and Rene Camacho (Men’s 65 公斤) each captured 3-2 wins in their tournament debuts Wednesday at the World Boxing Challenge Grand Prix Usti Nad Labem 2025.

The pair were the lone Team USA athletes in competition on day one of the tournament, and following their victories, they now advance to the quarterfinal rounds of their respective brackets.

岡薩雷斯 (Glendora, 加利福尼亞州。) closed out her 2025 international debut in style with a 3-2 victory over Croatia’s Sara Beram. Following the victory, Gonzalez will take on Italy’s Rebecca Nicoli in the quarterfinals of the women’s 60kg division. A second win at the tournament for the Glendora, 加利福尼亞州。, native will guarantee her a medal at the event; 然而, she remains persistent in capturing the gold medal in her 2025 international debut tournament.

“First time fighting international since the Games,” said Gonzalez after her victory. “I felt a little rusty, but of course, it’s the first day. Back at it again tomorrow, and it’s going to be better tomorrow.”

Pryce is Right again for undefeated Brooklyn heavyweight Pryce Taylor

NEW YORK CITY (六月 11, 2025) – Immediately after last Friday night’s impressive fourth-round stoppage of Ed “Tex” Fountain, Brooklyn’s undefeated Pryce Taylor (8-0, 5 科斯) was called America’s best heavyweight prospect by his promoter, 德米特里Salita (Salita促銷).

“I was excited to be fighting on a show like that,” Taylor added. “He hit me first in the first round, something I always let my opponents do to test their power, gauge patterns, and figure him out. It’s like in baseball when a batter lets a pitch go by without swinging to see what he has on the mound. Because he’s a southpaw, his right is his jab, and he really wanted to use his left power hook. He had a good poker face, but he couldn’t hide it when I hurt him. He tried not showing he was fazed, keeping himself upright, but he felt my power. I like being accurate, especially throwing power punches. I punished him at the end, throwing a body shot, an uppercut, and then two right hooks.”

“I thought George Foreman would have been proud of me and maybe thought he was seeing himself fight when he saw me punch. I put on a show. I’m a combination of Foreman and Muhammad Ali; power punching like Foreman, elusive like Ali with good footwork and light on my toes.

“I’m not sure if this was the best fight of my career, but he was my best opponent and the toughest guy I’ve fought. He came into the ring in good shape and tried to fight. His downfall was Pryce Being Right 再次. I love throwing my straight right and that keeps opening up my left hook to the body.”
