Road Warriors Battle for Hometown Supremacy

The scheduled eight-round main event features a hometown battle between two fighters who have earned their stripes fighting tough competition on the road. Olvera’s trail of upsets includes a 2005 unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Ryan “牧童” Karl and another over Chicago’s Genaro Mendez.

 

 

 

洛佩茲, who knocked out Phoenix’s Keenan Carbajal in his professional debut in 2013, has gone on to fight stiff competition across the country. He was the first to take World Super Bantamweight Champion Isaac Dogboe the distance when they met in 2014. Three years later, Lopez upset Jose Roman (24-2-1, 16 科斯), via unanimous decision in Roman’s backyard. Lopez’s southpaw style and reach kept Roman at bay and earned him the win.

紐約 – 六月 28, 2016 – Inspiration was in the air June 11th as the women of boxing gathered at Seven Bistro for The Raging Babe Brunch, 紐約, 紐約, Raging Babe Events’ seventh gathering of its kind, designed to break barriers and leverage contacts to conduct business and build friendships. The gathering was the first in New York City, and drew a slew of “憤怒的辣妹,” who together honored Main Events’ 首席執行官 凱西Duva. After a rousing introduction by “Raging Babe” 米歇爾·羅薩, attendees brunched and networked, with Frank Sinatra crooning in the background, sharing their triumphs and business cards. “The brunch is so much more than just a breakfast event,” 說羅薩. “The connections forged here have resulted in business collaborations and friendships. What started as an annual event, has grown, and I can easily see us gathering quarterly, all over the country.”
Post brunch, the time had come to honor one of boxing’s trailblazers, 凱西Duva, who was presented the Raging Babe Luminary Award. Among those who shared stories of Duva’s boxing growth and dominance was Main Events’ 運營副總裁, Joleen Mizzone, who has worked side-by-side with Duva for 19 歲月. Although she couldn’t attend in person due to being in California with three of Main Events’ 戰士, Mizzone had colorful, but moving words for her friend and colleague. “Kathy Duva has been through a lot in her life. 紐約 – 五月 24, 2016 – The weekend of June 11th, boxing’s most influential women will gather for brunch in the Big Apple for the 7th Raging Babe event of its kind, dubbed New York, 紐約. Attendees will include promoters, network executives, public relations representatives, 裁判員, fighters and others, and come from diverse backgrounds, cultures and levels of experience. Women who have attended Raging Babe events have networked, forged business and personal relationships and have been inspired by the stories of success and persistence shared by the hundreds of attendees over the past few years. There may be no woman that better personifies a story of success and persistence than 凱西Duva, who will be honored with the Raging Babe Luminary Award at the brunch.

Duva, the CEO of Main Events, and a mother of three, has been involved with boxing for nearly forty years, entering the business while in college with her then boyfriend Dan Duva. The Duvas teamed up to promote some of boxing’s top talent over the years under the Main Events banner, including Evander Holyfield, 倫諾克斯·劉易斯, Pernell Whitacker, Arturo Gatti and Fernando Vargas, all while cultivating powerful relationships with HBO and other networks. Kathy continued her husband’s legacy after his passing in 1996, becoming one of the most recognized figures in boxing. 最近, Duva and Main Events have developed one of boxing’s most avoided superstars in Sergey Kovalev.

After dinner, the women of boxing will take in the best views of Las Vegas aboard the world’s tallest observation wheel, the High Roller which features 28 spherical passenger cabins which can accommodate up to 40 passengers each, and is illuminated with dynamic multicolored LED lights nightly.
